Can I use the regular twrp and just flash the loki doki when I need it or does twrp need to be loki'd?

Just flash loki doki afterwards. Though most kernels nowadays have been loki'd already.

I've been looking at oudhs recovery source...trying to figure out uf I can get his auto loki on twrp...but unfortunately they are too differnt...90% of the files he modified to enable the custom exit scripts do not exist in twrp source...im no dev or coder but ive been doing allot of reading trying to figure out how to add it in...essentially what I need to do is find the code for reboot and throw in the loki doki script, when reboot is pressed have it run loki doki before actually rebooting...but again...im no coder or dev so its taking me awhile to figure out what i need to do and where the code for the reboot in twrp is located in the first place

Thats not what hes asking for...hes asking for a version of twrp that will automatically loki future rom flashes...in other words he doesnt want to have to worry about flashing loki doki after every rom flash

Twrp downgrade

I have twrp 2.6.3 and it isnt allowing me to flash any files. I was wondering if you can install and older version through goo manager or what exactly would be my easiest way about getting 2.5.0.2 twrp

The md5s all check out tho so it shouldn't be bad downloads. It seemed to back up and restore fine but I couldn't flash sacs rom and couldn't flash a different recovery. In a sense can I re-download twrp by flashing another kernel with mobile Odin then using Goo manager to reinstall twrp?

You really should give more information. The main being what version of twrp you tried to use.
I'm going to assume you tried 2.6.3.2 which will not flash 4.4 Roms. You need to download the 2.6.3.3 or latter tarp zip and flash it in recovery.
If my assumption is wrong then my apologies and I have no idea what the issue may be aside from maybe a bad IMG was pushed.

2.6.3.4 flashes 4.4 Roms but has issues with 4.3
2.6.3.3 flashes both fine.
If you can't find a working 2.6.3.3 zip and want it then let me know. If I dig around I can find it. I've been hearing the 2.6.3.3 zip on the official site is nonworkinf

So all you need to do then is update it by flashing the appropriate zip you want to use.
In Verizon development the thread should still be there for 2.6.3.4 even though it says it is discontinued it works. Just know that there are issues with using it with 4.3 Roms

No, use this thread to find the right version and procedure for your phone.
I followed that thread got the recovery but it isn't up to date anymore. I was looking to see why cm 11 keeps failing and I ended up here. Lol. Thanks

That's what I thought but I can't find a flashable zip. Only an .img file. Twrp doesn't even see it. Flashify doesn't either. So I was going to try and push it. But that draws concerns about loki. This locked bootloader stuff is new to me and I can't find information about it so I can make informed decisions. I don't like asking these questions on here because I'm sure they've been asked before. So I've been for going over threads for days now with minimal progress

Yeah nothing, even on twrp website the latest that's hosted is the one I have. What is confusing me is a lot of tmo owners are saying they've got Cm11 up and running. But it seems I missed out on the recovery train. All threads point to the d800 and your vs980. But I'll keep fighting the good fight. Thanks though

Yeah Cwm is awesome, it just didn't work on my nexus 4 but I don't know how to switch from twrp to cwm. I can look into that more. That's prolly what I'll do tomorrow.

Use 4.4.2 Stock Recovery to Flash Zips

Hi,
Is it possible to use the stock recovery to Flash zips? Alternatively will using the app Flashify to Flash the zips cause any issues? This is for a D802 on 4.4.2.
Thanks

Ditto
Stock only flashes signed zips. Like official ota and such.
Flashify to flash, well all depends what it is. U can flash recoveries safely but not stuff that is in operation. Some, maybe like sound mods that require reboot.

[Q]Locked bootloader?

I have a question if I can install sacs kk v3 on my l720, L720VPUEMK2?

Yes you can. Bootloaders on sprint do not block you from using ANY custom ROM.

Search and follow instructions on sacs thread. With the questions you are asking I hope you know how to root and install a custom ROM if you haven't done so already.

TWRP crashes on wipe and restore what is going on?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Might be a bad backup or recovery, try flashing the newest version and then try your restore again. Worst-case, your backup is corrupted and you'll need to start fresh on whatever ROM you have.
Are you trying to restore your backup for some reason?
Found out it was TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery, but the backups go through and when I reboot it hangs at galaxy s4 screen. Scas custom rom would hang at Android kit kat rotating loading screen. I did give it 10 mins just in case it was the first boot but it never booted.

You need to use Philz or TWRP 2.7.0.1
Odin the recovery for best results and when flashing a ROM reboot recovery after doing wipes, then install ROM

There is no need for safe strap . the bootlaoder is unlocked. If you're talking about the safe strap Roms from Verizon. They should work.

Sprint phones NEVER require safestrap. That is a Verizon thing because they have locked bootloaders. I'm on NAE rooted with Knox tripped and don't have any issues flashing Roms.
