I was try to flash it with many different firmwares, but no luck. Can You hep me somehow?
And what's differeneces between JORLA, JRDNEM and JORDN ?
As a last resort you can flash Defy+ SBF.

Pete's motorola tools worked! I managed to get CM9 but the led is too dim now, would that be because of the chinese SBF that I flashed? Thanks!!!!!
Hi everyone i have a moto defy with cynogen mod installed and the mic has stopped working, it works in speakerphone but not regular mode. I have cleared the cache and factory reset it but still no luck. Does anyone here have any experience with this issue ?
Thanks Tom
Try a sbf flash, that rules out any software glitches
And what build are you using
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
its running cyanogen mod 9-20121116-Nightly-Jordan android 4.0.4 and its a green lense model.
i use RSD Lite and will any sbf work ? im unsure of the original carrier, so im going to try a british retail version.
and super1click to root it ?
Try the one corresponding to your earliest stock build. Don't worry about original carrier, you can use the one closest to your current carrier

reflashed back to stock motoblur, its really slow ! and it did not fix the mic, guess i have to buy a new mic for it ?
If it's broke in stock, then you'll have to replace the Mic

how do i do this ? also i oppened it up and it looks as if the mic is missing, at the top of the main board, there is some solder and no gold mic..
Cheers Tom
Sorry, but I cannot help you there, since I'm not well versed with phone hardware repair. I suggest you search for a disassembly guide for the Motorola defy

a friend of mine gave me his bricked defy and asked me for help.
it will not turn on at all but when i connect it to my pc the white led turns on and it's recognized by rsd-lite.
as always, i flashed JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf which always does the trick, but this time it did the same thing as any other sbf - nothing.
i tried searching of answers but eventually every advise i found was to flash JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf...
any help would be appreciated.
Does it display any error after flashing.?

nothing, just returns to same condition it was.
You sure the battery is charged enough for a flash.?
Sent from my XT912 using Tapatalk 2
yes, i charged it with another defy. about 70%.
try this

isn't it a defy+ sbf?
Yes, that's why I'm suggesting it as a last resort
Sent from my MB526 using Tapatalk 2
what are the chances it will work? i'll scared i'll totally brick it. it's 100% not a defy+
Zero percent chance of bricking
Only problem is that there may be problems in the stock rom, which can be fixed by installing cm10 or cm10.1
By problem I mean no camera or battery not charging to the full level but again these can be fixed by upgrading to cm10 or 10.1

it worked! the defy finally booted!
thanks a lot man!
so does that means that my friend flashed a defy+ sbf in the first place?

I think he flashed a wrong sbf
obviously, but usually jordn 97.21.51 fixes any wrong sbf flashing.
If device boot loader version is 7, then only defy + sbfs work(usually because of wrong flashing of a sbf)
Had that not been the case your initial sbf would've worked.

thanks to you I saved my defy..2 week of search (no bootloader and black screen) by flashing dfp231
I'm starting to think that I messed up bad this time, I'm having 0 sucess trying to revive my Defy, saturday I had decided I wanted to downgrade my CM10 back to CM7 so I went ahead with the whole SBF flashing business but somewhere during that something happened and now the only thing my Defy is managing to do is light the white led when I connect it on the USB to the PC, but the PC doesn't seem to be recognizing it.
I was trying to flash some SBFs, mostly Eclair and Froyo, but not one of them worked, all of them would just not boot, but up until I tried the last SBF it was at least being recognized. I assume the problem was because last time I had flashed a 4.5.1 SBF and if I'm not mistaken it isn't possible to downgrade after that.
I've already followed the unbricking thread, but I can't do much since it isn't being recognized when plugged in, and I've already left it there for more than 24 hours so I think the problem is not with the battery.
Flash dfp231. It should get you to the Motorola logo. If it hangs then wipe data from stock recovery

Still, how ?
As I said, it isn't being detected by the PC, therefore not showing on RSD.
Use the mcgyver cable

Oh no, I have no knowledge of eletronics, don't wanna risk more damage by trying that.
Use an external battery charger. You may have run out of battery while trying to unbrick, and the phone at this stage cannot be charged normally
