Not sure who all has seen this, but you can now fully modify your stock rom to almost anything you'd like. Per app DPI, no ascending ringer, themeing...unlimited possiblities. I wanted to create a thead for us to discuss settings and features and leave the original thread open for dev discussion.

I have per app dpi working on messenger, gmail, and email at 220. For some reason I can't get tablet mode to work but I'm sure that will be fixed soon. Post any comments or questions here.

Works on any rom that I've seen. I'm using it on odex 4.1.2 DLL4

Here is a link to multi-window enable all apps. I have tested and it works great on odex DLL4. Another mod we've been looking for on stock roms!

In my humble opinion Xposed Framework is the best thing that has been done for the community since the old Rom Kitchen website for the first Galaxy S.
But for some strange reason it's not getting the attention it deserves from chefs and devs

The xposed framework should work on any touchwizz based rom

I agree entirely...
The problem is that there is a difficulty level step to overcome. Once you learn how to use this though, you find it's much better than other methods.
The best thing to do right now is to encourage devs to submit their modifications into the repository linked there. This is because the files should work for future ROM versions too, but if the developer updates their patch, it's nice to get notified about the update.
I want to push this much harder in the new year as the new way to modify your phone...

I'd love to have a "no sms in call log" modification

Hmm, I never considered this but this looks cool. I've two questions though, I've read the topic of Pulsur word by word, and I guess it doesn't mess up with any system files right (sorry I didn't get all the technical words)? I am a stock forever user and I like it that way. Secondly, to use it, I just need to download the apk of Xposed framework and install it, then I need to download the mod and install it, right?

Download Xposed framwork apk and install
open Xposed installer application from drawer and select install/update
Reastart
Download required tweak apk like call record,lomg SMS multiwindow watever you like from available and install all required apks
now you will see notification in notification bar regarding activation, tap it and enable all tweak you have install and needed
Restart
Done.

Okay, I'm not on my PC but I don't understand where are the apk's? In that Github all I see are zip files! Confusing!

Yeah,
I couldn't either. I finally gave in to the xposed framework modules.
Google xposed framework. Download and install.
Open the framework tab and install( don't reboot yet)
Hop on the play store and download Bsled's 'g2 xposed' (you could also download from the tab in xposed, called download, and find xblast tools)
After you install you app of choice, open xposed, don't open the app yet. Go to modules. Tick the box for that app you installed. NOW REBOOT.
Now open the app g2 xposed or xblast and change the settings you like and reboot again and they will set.
Whew... Out of breath now.
A few steps but its pretty easy.

thank you bro for your answer , i know about xposed i used it befor , but flashable zip is better i have it on my D800 really great without need of any other mod , so i dont know why no one made it as i see D802 owners are more than D800 ... comm'on brothers lets do it ;d

Q&A Xposed framework

Hello experts ?? I'm curious about the xposed framework I found a few guides but I'm not sure which one to follow . Also I saw that xposed framework cause various problems on Samsung stock roms .Any help will be appreciated.

For first, you need to know what is Xposed Framework, (Google or ask for other members, sorry) after that, download the Xposed Installer and install it.
Some versions like 5.1.1 don't have a stable version, but you can try it at your own risk! Use Xposed and your modules with moderation and be sure that you are using the correct module for you version.
It's simple!

Simple enough. Just install the Alpha4 apk from rovo's topic (only the apk, no zip file) and then from recovery flash the zip package made by Arter, Krait V5 (you have N9005 right?)
And no, there is no issue, at least nothing worth mentioning. The only issue I see is when you use the Soft Reboot features from Xposed itself the Samsung logo (boot animation) seems to go really dim, so that is probably a brightness issue, other than that I haven't noticed anything and I am using it since Arter made it possible. And of course you should be on a Deodexed ROM to make it work.

I'm sorry, the only issue that I have is on Gravity Box, a little time ago, but I'm trying to use it now and it's working fine, but with some knowing bugs from the module version that I've installed.

i came back with a rom for samsung galaxy core 2
You have to install an app after flashing named as app settings and xstana. It can be found in xposed moddules. This is important app of rom so download it ok.
I named it as lollicore 2
INSIDE THIS ROM :-
1-- lollipop lockscreen
2-- lollipop camera
3-- build.prop mooded for better display and ram managment
4-- lollipop launcher
5-- lollipop messenger
6-- lollipop keyboard
7-- es file manager
8-- uc brouser
9-- all upgraded google apps except hangouts and maps
10-- xposed framework full support
11-- fully deodexed except systemui amd framework folder.
12-- all bloatware removed
13-- lollipop heads up notification
14-- lollipop styled call reciever
15-- lollipop material theme for systemui amd framework.
16-- lollipop styled material theme for some apps.
17-- lollipop styled status bar tinting for some apps.
18-- lollipop styled status bar icons.
19-- pre rooted
REQUIRMENTS
1--rooted device
2--cwm recovery installed
DO NOT DIRECTLY OPEN LINKS. COPY THE LINK AND THEN PASTE THEM IN BROUSER TO USE.

HOW TO INSTALL:-
1-- wipe data
2-- advance/wipe dalvic catch
3-- mount and unmount/format system
4-- imstall zip/install from sd card/select core2 rom
5-- reboot.
6-- 5 to 10 min in first boot.will appear like bootloop but wait patiently till 15 minuts and it will open.
and you are done.
when flashing is done of core2 rom it will show an error saying.
arrest failed write raw image boot.img failed
but dont worry its all right. the error is usual and no harm from that message.
But if you dont get this error and get something else pricate message me about problem
GETTING LOLLIPOP LOOK IN ROM:-
when you open the keyboard it does not looknlike lollipop more it looks more weared the the stock. but dont be cheated by looks. go to settings of keyboard aelect the google keyboard and then goto its afvanced settings there is a option of color. in that select the material and head back one step and in top most item select the languages of keyboard. select both english us and uk. by doing so you will be able to input text using google voice. just you have to click on notification in status ar whenever you open the keyboard to start voice typing.
KEYBOARD PROBLEM IS SOLVES.
now looking at the camera and dialer app. we get a wieard feeling that every thing is just shifted a bit from original place. this is deu to cange in dpi of device in build.prop. but this can be corrected by using xposed framework and its module named as app setting. i have provided both the apk in the zip file just follow the instructions.
1-- open xposed framework and select the framework option and then click on install
2-- after a reboot now open same app again and select modules and tick all modules in the list and reboot your device.
3-- after the reboot open the app setting app and select the dialer app and change dpi to 240 and save the settings. do same thing for camera and then open the apps. they will be corrected by now.
DPI PROBLEM IS SOLVED
goto to lollipop notifier app and enable heads up notification.
HEADS UP NOTIFICATION ARE ONNN.
goto lollipop dialer app and enable it to use the dialer app
DIALER APP IS ONNN.
goto tinting app and follow the instructions
1-- tick on animate color change
2-- tick on react to action bar visiblity change
TINTING STATUS BAR IS ONNN.
goto monsterUI app
and select per app theming and select the app which you want to theme like lollipop. tap on that app and choosw the dark theme and reopen the app.
SYSTEMUI AND FRAMEWORK ONNN.
Convert android emulator as user app and then use it.
ALL SOLVED!!!!

Here are some of the ansers to question of some users.
1-- how to enable bootanimation back in your rom?
ro.nobootanimation=0
In build.prop just change the the value of line to zero and reboot.
2--rom sometimes hangs when playing a heavy game and suddenly a messenger or screen popup opens keyboard?
ro.dalvikheapsize=256m
ro.dalvikheapgrowth=125m
In build.prop change the value of theae libe to the above one.
3-- the rom does not have a lollipop drop down notification brawer?
I do not use a pc ao will try to make the rom v2 without exposed in it and will edit the codes of systemui.
I a working on how to deodex ststemui properly.
4-- keyboard has no voice input button?
In keyboard settings just select two languages insted of one and next time you open the keyboard you will fine the voice input menu in status bar itself.
5-- some apps do not color status bar?

6-- the content in the screen are too small?
Just go to build.prop and change the lcd_dpi to 240 at two places in build.prop and reboot.
7--rom does not have performance?
Wrong queation you can play mortal combat x at 47 fps . And asphalt 8 at medium quality without any lag. Some users say that the sound in need fr speed moat wanted shatters. Now that is a low ram problem because the ram is not able to manage that mich data thats why video is on priorty and audio lays behing.
8-- whats antutu benchmark score?
Its 11461 with maximum battery saver options and 12996 at max performanve options. This is something very good no need tp overclock rom sa overclocking leads to overheating and damages.

To port cm12 we have to deodex the framework and systemui. These are not deodexed in my rom because they do create problem upon deodexing.
Secondly to port any rom we should have a proper flashable .img or .tar format aor just simple folders not like that of cm12 .win.dat they cant be opened.
If can be opened then you can reply the post with the method to open it.
If anyone having a cm12 rom on any device closer to core 2 and having api 19 then hd can do us a favor.
Install android terminal and type
su
tar -c /system/* /sdcard/system.tar
This will take time be pacience and uplode the tar file on drive and send link here so that we can also start building cm12 rom for core 2

Nexus 9 fonts.
And try fixing some bugs like of bluetooth and camera.
And will give it a more finishing look and boost.

This is an incomplete business. It doesn't work. Mere waste of time have to go back to recovery.

Follow all instructions and it will work.
Single different instruction you must have skipped is to format system and that causes problem.

i have probleme with the dialer it didnt changer rather i change dpi to 240 . setting didnt take effect

Use app settings module of xposed framework.
There change dpi to 240 and click on save button.
Force close the dialer app amd reopen it.
It will take effects.
Can do same thing with gallery.camera.dialer and any other app you feel like

Here is the method to install Layers Theme on your Xperia Smartphone :
Don't Blame Me If Anything Goes Wrong
I Have Tested It On My Phone And It Works Pretty Well

Prerequisite :
#Recovery Installed
#Rooted Xperia
#Running 5.0+
#Latest Version Of BusyBox Installed
#A Nandroid Backup (Just For Precaution)

1) Goto Playstore and install Layers Manager App
2) Goto Playstore and search for layers theme and choose any theme you like
3)Open Layers Manager App and give #Root permission
4)Goto Settings and check on unnecessary overlays(optional)
5)Goto main home of app and choose the theme
6)Apply your favorite overlays and Reboot
NOTE:
1} Before applying any new overlays first uninstall the previous ones
2}You have to be on stock Xperia lollipop themes for navbar buttons to change according to Layers theme since the Xperia theme engine also uses the same technology of RR Overlay which layers use.Hence if you will apply any other Xperia theme other than stock, it will create another overlay upon it and you won't be able to see the nav bar buttons from LAYERS THEME
3} It doesnt have full support for xperia apps . hence some of the elements will have buggy appearance
4} For Best Experience install GOOGLE APPS coz its what the layers themes have been made for
6} FC's or bootloops occuring after applying overlays may be due to bad overlays.So always take a nandroid backup before messing up with your phone
7} FC's occuring after uninstalling overlays can be easily solved by a reboot
8} For those who are stuck after pressing reboot , Please remove your battery and reinsert it (if its removable) or Press the force reset or shutdown button. (Generally Xperia phones have them on the back of their phones under the panel) On boot up first uninstall That bad layers framework or system Ui Overlay . If you want then you can remove them form recovery only
9} For bad overlays here is the fix :
Go to recovery (twrp) and navigate to mount and check on System and Then open file manager. Navigate to system /vendor /overlay and delete the apk and Reboot
10} Mostly the bootloops are caused by bad or incompatible framework overlays ... So use with care Install Layers Showcase for more themes and to find that it supports your device or not

Yupp, tried the Art theme. Doesn't work.
Get white text on white background with no icons visible.

Commute UI works if you also add the overlay that removes titles. This overlay turned to work quite well. Beware though, don't install framework or system ui apks. Can result in a boot loop. If that happens, you need to remove them through recovery.

I can't find any layer option that remove titles on commute ui. Need I install another?

Install also evolve and use the deep dark option. Must have the latest Layers Manager.

and if you get bootloop and anything is messed up, delete systemui and framework overlays from /system/vendor/overlays, better to just empty that folder before you start or when anythings messed up
delete framework and systemui from recovery only, because once running if you delete them, the system wil become irresponsive

Guys, i think i messed up. I'm getting bootloop after installing the grey theme. Now the thing is, i don't have any recovery installed to delete those overlays. And i cant install XZDualRecovery, because of the bootloops. So now, do you have any solution to recover other than a clean install.?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, recoverd using Flashtool by just flashing the system. Saved the day i guess. [emoji28]

Almost Every layers themes are working apart from their frameworks overlays
be sure that you have latest version of busybox installed

I've got frame works and system UI working from Dominator. That's the only one so far. I'm on 6.0.1. No Xposed (yet).

Anyway I'm already tried using RRO + seeking it's way to get work properly since LP 5.0.1 but no luck,, same way as this OP mentioned
Seems sony oem had own theme engine, meanwhile RRO stay close AOSP based (or ROM which without CM Theme Engine) CMIIW

will this work on my Z3 tablet 5.1.1? I try desperately to find a theme layer app but I cant.thanks.
