Tutorial to flash Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 to CodeRom NexusAce XXKPH 2.3.4:
• First download CodeRom NexusAce rar file package which contains all the essential firmware flashing tools. Please note that after downloading the rar file, you will have to place the file on desktop and then extract the same. Use below link to download.
*MOD REMOVED* NO WAREZ*
• Check whether extracted folder contains these key files COPPER, APBOOT, MODEM, CODEROMNEXUS, CSC and of course ODIN Multi Downloader v4.38
• Open the Odin Multi downloader v 4.38 file from the extracted files after which you will see that a new window will be popping.
• Now, at this point of time you will have to ensure that the KIES is completely closed and also preferably close all other programs in your computer too so as to ensure that the software update process is not hampered or interrupted in any manner.
• After this you will have to make sure that your phone is turned ON in the download mode, the download mode can be turned ON by pressing Middle Key (OK Key) + Power key and Volume down Key simultaneously before connecting to PC after which the phone will enter in the download mode.
• So, after double checking that the phone has entered in the download mode and connect your phone to your PC, then yellow ID: COM block. Now, next up without changing any other parameters you will have to select the files as they are mentioned below, this is very important step, if any of the file is wrongly entered then you will end up bricking the phone for which we can’t be held responsible in any manner what so ever.
OPS – Cooper_v1.0.ops
BOOT – APBOOT_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5
Phone – MODEM_S5830XXKPH_CL260130_REV03.tar.md5
PDA – coderomnexus.tar.md5 (just ignore error message while inserting this file)
CSC – CSC_S5830SERKPH_CL260130_REV03_user_low_true.tar.md5
• After checking the entries as mentioned above, click on the “Start” tab which is just located above the “Select OPS” option. Please note that as soon as you click on the Start tab it will take 5 – 10 minutes to complete the firmware update process and its highly requested on not to interrupt the process as this may brick your phone permanently.
• You will see that after 5 – 10 minutes of time as mentioned above, the updation process is completed and you will have to wait till you see home screen in your phone and also you will have to watch out for Odin as you will see that a Blue colored box will be glowing up as “PASS”
• Now remove your phone safely from PC and go to settings and Locale to change language.

Awesome Rom. Just can't get a2sd swap to work. Everytime i click the enable swap, it says "working" and then goes back to off. Any idea why this occurs?

Hi Diliban ,
Five Stars for your detailed tutorial , will take some screens and attach it to this post so that it becomes more easier for newbies.
You have stated in you tutorial:-
" Make sure your sdcard was inserted and has been formatted into ext4 partition. "
Is this step really necessary , I have flashed with ROM's before without doing this .
I use ODIN to flash and remove SIM and SD card .
Please clarify ...

The answer is YES.
It highlighted in Pre-flashing check list on post #1.
Hi,
I'm using my xperia arc s now since 2 years and have collected some intersting tips which might be interesting for you.
- Android is Modular: You can replace any .apk from themes and apps for example on any ROM - Let's say you use a ROM called "Mod CM10" which is based on CM10, you can use themes & apps which are made for stock CM 10
Else: You use Ultimate HD but want a different statusbar theme. Simply pick a systemUI.apk theme and flash it - as long as it works on stock ics its going to work in ics based ROMs
- CMW flasahbles: You can always view them with winrar and see whats inside - change or replace content & you can still flash it. Simple as 123
- Your phone charges in CWM
- Free RAM is NOT wasted RAM - 100mb is a good value of free RAM
- You can't crossflash mods from cm10 to ics
- to disable led lights, simply edit hw_config.sh to echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_current
- OC only slightly boosts performance
- If you install CWM via xParts, it'll put a few files into /system directory - you can always select locked bl in AROMA of some ROMs & it'll do the same
- Maps, Facebook and Messenger CAN be freezed when your gaming to save nearly 100mb's of RAM
- Thousands of build.prop tweaks WON'T IMPROVE ANYTHING
- Easteregg of about phone > android version is in /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi and /system/framework/framework.jar/smali/android/internal/Platlogo.smali
- To decompile .apks you always need to install framework from the device the apk is from
- use alogcat to take logcats or terminal: logcat > sdcard/log.zip
- Lockscreen popus switches are framework-res.apk
- onscreenbuttons, statusbar etc are systemui.apk
Many more cooming as soon as I rememeber lol
Before we begin, lets start this Formally

Disclaimer : I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead phones, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about doing this to your device .
YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, your data , i will laugh at you.
I am happy to present you , the best EUI 5.9.21S experience for the Le Max 3 ( X850 ) .
Things changed and improved :
-> Launcher now support drawer mode ( ported from 28S)
-> Latest Super Manager , with data usage notification ( also from 28S)
-> Removed many useless applications
-> Improved system audio
-> The quiet sound in headphones is now fixed
Tip: Turn off Dolby Atmos , the speaker, earpiece, and headphones will be way louder .
-> Kernel Tweaks and battery optimization scrips
-> [ Update 13/10 ] Changed the behaviour of the deep sleep.
If you encount a bug , please tell me the details in this thread .
Download : http://bit.ly/2yNoUui
** The " R(Number) " means the release number of the ROM , like R1 - first release
The Deep sleep tuner :
http://bit.ly/2EwB9kU
*Install via TWRP above the current ROM , you don't need to change or wipe nothing .
It really helps with the battery life
How to install :
1. You need to have the bootloader unlocked , and the TWRP installed . ( How to do that ( my post link) : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76620374&postcount=7 )
**After unlocking the bootloader , you get a green notification led and the phone not turning on , when you try to boot your phone .
[ THE SOLUTION IS : To boot into TWRP ( volume up and power button ) and from TWRP , tap on Reboot --> System , this will boot the phone normally , currently we can do nothing to solve this :crying: ]
Note : If you come from another ROM , you will need to do an wipe on system , data , cache .
Also please take a backup ,if you have already TWRP , and in case you want to restore back.
2. Download the "Deep sleep tuner" and the " 21S Firmware & Modem by @moto999999 ": https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=674106145207488760
3. Download and copy the ROM , Universal_GMS_Doze.zip , and 21S_Firmware_&_Modem_x10.zip inside your internal memory
4. Flash the 21S_Firmware_&_Modem_x10.zip
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash the Magisk
7. Flash the Universal_GMS_Doze
Apps that I recommend : ( they are not in the ROM)
( Updated 12/10 )
( Currently using all from this list )
1. Power Shade ( adds a new notification bar with android P style , with changed notifications and toggles for all the things. )
**Tip : Select USA region for showing apps in status bar , not an 3 dot circle
2. Add Away ( Removes adds system-wide)
3. Install button Unlocker ( Allows you to bypass the restriction "screen overlay detected" and allow the permison to apps )
4. AndroiTS GPS Test Pro ( for GPS to indentify you faster , first time after instaling the ROM )
5. Greenify - helps with the battery life
6. Volume Booster by GOODEV - boost even more the headphone sound
For those that want to freeze apps , a simple and bug-less list :
Note : Is not mandatory !!!
LeEco account
LeEco setup wizard
MyLeEco
LeTVEcoProvider
ANT HAL Service
Fido ( all 3 apps )
VCalendar
Market Feedback Agent,
Following Feed
Fast Transfer
Effect Service
Crash Handler
EuiTransfer.AppData
Bubbles
and AOSP keyboard , if you have Gboard , or another keyboard .
You can use Titanium Backup ( Pro - required ) for this , or IceBox , or any other apps

You have boot into TWRP , and there is written " Data Encrypted " ?
If yes then skip , and go in TWRP :
--> Tick "do not show again" and the swipe to allow modification. ( if promting )
--> Skip device encryption by clicking "Install" (if the storage size is 0mb or no folder is showing while trying to install, then the device is encrypted. )
--> For solve that, click "Wipe" --> choose to " Format Data " and type " yes " and swipe to format . It's going to wipe EVERYTHING in the internal storage (that's the purpose of device encryption, to prevent unauthorized access to the storage).
--> When completed, go back, click "Reboot" --> "Recovery" , this will restart your recovery (very important, do not reboot the phone into system otherwise you'll start all over. Reboot into recovery, not system).
---> From recovery, click "Install" > and select first the " EUI5.9 firmware and modem " and flash it , after that flash my EUI5.9 , after that you can root , suggest with Magisk
Keep in mind , you are doing all at your own risk !!!
I am not resposible if you get a brick , or lose your data
For more cleary Your ROM is now instaled by .zip file Used TWRP. If I try normal start phone, system Ask me about password. Watch this on My YT Channel:

I understood
For removing password
--> Boot into TWRP
--> If prompts " device encryption " , tap on "Install"
(if the storage size is 0mb or no folder is showing while trying to install, then the device is encrypted. )
--> Go back in standart TWRP menu , from there click "Wipe" --> choose to " Format Data " and type " yes " and swipe to format .
---> Now after TWRP rebooted , click "Install" > and select first the " EUI5.9 firmware and modem " and flash it , after that flash my EUI5.9 , after that you can root , suggest with Magisk .
The password will be removed , is from encrypted data partition

HOW I install your ROM ?

Unfortunately, the phone still does not work in LTE B20 mode. On the second phone LTE B20 works without a problem. I can easily check this because in my area LTE is only using B20
Maybe there is another version of the 21S_Firmware _ & _ Modem_x10.zip which supports B20?

I cannot download any app from the play store over mobile network. I mean it doesn't allow me to download and install or update anything from the google store. The system is waiting for WiFi. I'm I doing something wrong?
Bootloader is unlocked, TWRP installed, flashed your rom according to your instruction. No settings were changed yet. Google store settings checked for ability to download over any network. Any suggestions?

Firstly , yes you can freeze the apps what you find in ROM .
You can Freeze this apps :
LeEco account
LeEco setup wizard
MyLeEco
LeTVEcoProvider
ANT HAL Service
Fido ( all 3 apps )
VCalendar
Market Feedback Agent,
Following Feed
Fast Transfer
Effect Service
Crash Handler
EuiTransfer.AppData
Bubbles
and AOSP keyboard , if you have Gboard , or another keyboard .
You don't need necessarily to freeze the apps , just make sure that you have the " Deep sleep tuner " flashed .
From my experince there is not a difference with the apps freezed or not . Maybe about 10 minutes of battery life more .
That is why i have not put an list before  . Also this list isn't interfering with any apps , or android UI from my experince . The ROM was debloated as much as i was able.
The second problem solution :
Open app " Downloads " --> 3 dot ( right up corner ) --> Settings --> Scroll up , until " No limit " , appears .
Select , and done , now clear cache for play store , and this is all , this should remove this inability

REPARTITION
sysrepart.zip - 1.1GB system, data is not wiped
sysrepart-max.zip - 1.3GB system, data is not wiped, automatically downloaded by LOS 17.1 script
sysrepart-flox.zip - 1.5GB system, data is wiped, 'vendor' partition is added, automatically downloaded by LOS 17.1-flox script
sysrepart-ultimate.zip - 4GB system, data is wiped, 'vendor' partition is added, 'recovery' is enlarged to 64MB in-place and your current TWRP continues to function, flox compatible, automatically downloaded by LOS 18.1-flox script. For N7-16GB try sysrepart-ultimate-2.zip
sysrepart-stock.zip - data is wiped, original partitions are restored
reboot immediately after repartition!
sysrepart-ultimate/stock work on any previous repartitions
sysrepart/max/flox work reliably only on original partitions
to install GApps larger than pico/nano you need sysrepart-ultimate
sysrepart-ultimate supports custom, oversized TWRP builds
To recover from other repartition attempts, simply install sysrepart-ultimate if you intend to use LOS17+ or sysrepart-stock if you have other plans. If direct sysrepart installation is impossible due to TWRP or GPT issues, run the repartition.bat script. On rare occasions you may have to run RESTOCK and "Restore original partitions" with it.
_____________________________________________________
UPDATE version 2.5 changes:
- update components' URLs
- update relog.bat
- remove installation scripts of no longer available ROMs
- add update.bat cleanup script (run it once)
- add repartition.bat script for repartition-only
- add lineage-install-3.bat script
Download CROSS2.zip and unzip it then download cross-update-XXX.zip and unzip it to the CROSS folder, overwrite existing files.
Also check the very latest interim updates in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/iiiii-cross-custom-rom-scripted-setup.4092215/post-87622749

Hi, thank you very much for this useful tool.
I wonder whether your script could be updated to support dirty flash also. Now it seems to always make a clean flash. But it is not very convenient to set up the device after each security update.
I am not very experienced in making batch files but I was thinking about adjusting your script like follows. From:
Code:
:adbd
ping -n 3 127.0.0.1 >nul
set /p =*<nul
adb devices >tmp0 2>&1
find /i "recovery" tmp0 >nul
if not %errorlevel% == 0 goto adbd
[COLOR="Red"]echo.
echo Installing...
call:wait 5
adb shell twrp wipe /data[/COLOR]
adb shell twrp wipe /system
adb shell twrp wipe dalvik
adb shell twrp wipe cache
call:wait 3
adb push -p %LNZN% /sdcard/
call:wait 3
echo Wait...
adb shell twrp install /sdcard/%LNZN%
To:
Code:
:adbd
ping -n 3 127.0.0.1 >nul
set /p =*<nul
adb devices >tmp0 2>&1
find /i "recovery" tmp0 >nul
if not %errorlevel% == 0 goto adbd
[COLOR="red"]echo.
set /p FLASHTYPE=Do you want to make clean flash or dirty flash? Clean flash will erase all data (except the files in the internal storage) [clean/dirty]: || set FLASHTYPE=null

adb shell twrp wipe cache

adb push -p %LNZN% /sdcard/

Thanks for the suggestion. This code can be abbreviated, same as the other optional items:
Code:
set /p ANS=Do dirty flash? (no if unsure) [y/n]: || set ANS=n
if /i !ANS!==n (
adb shell twrp wipe /data
)
I added it to the v1.2 update.
I just gave this script a try. This is quite slick and saves a bunch of time! Thanks for this. :good:

Hello I came here from my topic where you suggested me using this. When I fire up lineage-installer2.bat, it can't connect to the server. It asks if I want to use a local file, which I answered yes to. When i gave the name of the file ( "lineage-17.1-20201007-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip" which I placed inside the CROSS folder, it gave me an error and exited.. What's the deal there?

Hi again, first copy eg "lineage-17.1-20201009-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip" to "CROSS\data" folder, then answer [y] to the question...
Code:
Nexus 7'13 LineageOS 17.1 Install v2.0 @2020 k23m
SUPPORT - http://bit.ly/2C35sLZ
This script assumes that USB drivers are already installed.
If not, then run RESTOCK first or install them manually.
Enter device name (flo=WiFi; deb=LTE) - [flo/deb]: flo
Use local ROM file? (no if unsure) [y/n]: y
Found local file: lineage-17.1-20201009-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip
As you can see it is found automatically without entering a file name. If nothing is found, you could type any file name but the file must be located in the data folder.
It has worked! The install and setup was buttery smooth, thank you so much for this tool. Amazing!
A little help.
I am about to receive my refurbished unit in a couple of days. chances are that it will likely be on the last stock software. I have a general knowledge about rooting and installing custom ROMs on a variety of devices but nexus 7 seems different to work it. Will this script automatically root and install the TWRP apart from the designated flavor of lineageOS?
Also, will I need to go through the prerequisites (i.e. RESTOCK) procedures even if I am on stock ROM and partition by default? Will I need to repartition every time when switching ROMs after this? Can the CROSS be used again if i had to switch from say LOS 17.1 to 14.1?
Thanks in advance!:highfive:

Refurbished N7s usually come with old KitKat stock and it is advisable to run RESTOCK first to update the bootloader before flashing LineageOS. Also RESTOCK will unlock it and install N7 USB drivers on your Windows.
Yes, CROSS can be used multiple times, and will root and install TWRP. Repartition is required only once.
Pro tip: for LineageOS updates answer [y] to the "Do dirty flash?" question to retain your OS settings and apps. But being "dirty", it may not work properly after major OS changes.
Should there be LOS17 server download issues, get lineage-17.1-20201017-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip from an alternative server and drop it into CROSS' data folder as described in this post.
Cheers

Thank you so much for developing this, RESTOCK as well as stock MM debloat script. it literally saved hours and hours of hassle that one has to face while getting to different versions of android! Running 10 with latest updates. feels so good!
kernel Configuration.
While Android 10 seems tempting and it actually is, it isn't just offering the kind of experience I am looking for and hinders my daily experience in one or the other way.
Looks like you might be using LOS 14.1 with the ElementalX kernel. Can you recommend the best settings for video playbacks and light gaming? Please share your configuration as well.
Thanks and cheers!:highfive:

For video and games LOS17 seems optimal, check these benchmarks.
Personally I use LOS14 without Gapps and with EX kernel including a modification to the battery life extender. I lowered max battery charge to 4.00V which is equivalent to 75% (under)charge resulting in 8x increase of battery life. Furthermore, the mod allows for constant external power connection and no battery overcharging nor overheating/swelling. I edited "buildconfig.sh" in EX zip:
Code:
replace
echo "write /sys/devices/i2c-0/0-006a/float_voltage 4200" >> $CONFIGFILE
with
echo "write /sys/devices/i2c-0/0-006a/float_voltage 4000" >> $CONFIGFILE
:good:
You gave my Nexus 7 (2013) a new lease on life! Woo-hoo!
I was running a years-old version of the vanilla stock FW and it was soooo slow. Somebody in some comment section somewhere mentioned RESTOCK & CROSS, so I tried out RESTOCK2 and it worked flawlessly.
Then I tried installing 17.1 via CROSS2 without repartitioning (as I believed RESTOCK did that). I got an error that I did not save, hoping it wasn't a big deal. I got stuck on the Google loading screen, so I ran CROSS again. I was going to try 14.1, but wasn't given the option again (bonus? 17.1 looks beautiful and it didn't make me redownload anything, which was smart coding on your part).
I think I should have run the logging programs when I first saw errors, because I'm afraid they were cleared by the reinstallation. I did send what I could after running the loggers post-successful installation, just in case.
Now, 17.1 is working so smoothly with a quick Netflix sideload (no GApps here, used APKMirror + the APKMirror Installer) - which certainly is only working thanks to Magisk. How long did it take me to figure out how to put app icons on the homescreen (swipe up, of course!) I don't think I want to reveal
I think the only thing I'm missing is DoubleTap2Wake which I installed with RESTOCK but see now it wasn't an option with 17.1 via CROSS. Apparently somebody has it goin' on LOS17.1 or 18 but this was so easy, not sure I want to try messing with a custom kernel just yet until I get a little bored.
Thank you so much--it's unbelievable there aren't 8 million comments on this thread, it's SO well done. If you made this for a modern/uber-popular tablet surely there would be though. Thank you thank you thank you!

If the Lineage build is using followmsi's sources, then you do not need to change kernels.
You just need to activate DT2W.
See this post on how to activate using a kernel manager.
The thread with the ever changing name. xda thread - Link
If you want something simple, I use a magisk module that enables it on boot.
DT2W GitHub - Link
Cheers.
PS.
Sorry for a bit of OT.
PPS.
The Lineage 17.1 build is using followmsi's sources.

LOS14+EX kernel OTG is OK. Use the built-in file manager.
There could be a hardware issue - pin #4 may have a dry joint and work intermittently.

Hi man
thanks for your answer but it’s not a pin 4 issues , I have just changed the daughter board, and this evening I used restock2 , I restocked, install twrp, used the fix 30 and root but don’t install elementalx
I used the app usb otg helper and everything is ok
I can see my usb stick..
Help me please .. I like s2w and 2tw to turn on my screen
I would have the both otg and gesture to awake and used a better android system like lineageos
Thx

I can assure you that straight LOS14+EX OTG works fine.
You must have enabled the "USB OTG + charge mode" option which is meant for car use or externally powered OTG devices. It is NOT NEEDED for normal, N7-powered OTG storage.
