Hi everyone,
I've been looking around the interweb for ways to copy and paste text on the NST.
What I was trying to do was Copy text from cool reader and paste it to gmail. Cool reader supports copy but then I can't paste it anywhere. (using long press like on my phone)
Nothing happens during long press.
Any ideas how I could solve this
(I'm on touchnooter and ADW)
The absence of information on that problem seems to indicate that I overlooked something important but what....
Thanks for reading

Maybe look for a keyboard who has paste capabilities messageEase on my phone - its somewhat strange and you need to learn it but it has a key for paste, maybe you find other
and for copy ctrl+c
Edit
Look in market - there are many apps which will help you with copy and paste
try this one
Thanks a lot, sorry for the late feedback I was traveling.
I still don't really understand why the familiar long touch copy long touch paste we're all familiar with on android devices isn't around
I guess I just don't know enough about android 2.1
anyway I found another keyboard with copy and paste keys
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kl.ime.oh
It's customizable so in the end mine looks like the stock keyboard (square white keys) if you drag the del key to the left a new keyboard appears with copy and paste options.
(and I think you can get it to swype aswell, but I chose to strip it of the suggestion bar and number bar and just have a plain old touch keyboard)
I use coolreader wich allows me to copy text then copy it to a notepad app using my keyboard, works like a charm.

Hi!
Is there an app, which monitors the clipboard? I was reading a large text and found it really annoying to copy an important part, switch to word and paste it, then back to reading and the hole thing all over again...
I am thinking of an app, that creates a list of what has been copied automaticly. Does anybody know something like that?

Hi, thanks. I installed it but couldnt figure out how to get it to work. I cant even find an *.exe
Could You help me with this?
Has anybody the WORKING version of this game on the TP2???
I've the WARCRAFT 2 WVGA - Baronic version (which should be the good one I assume), extracted it onto my storage and opened the .exe. The game was running okay, untill I slide out my keyboard.
Btw, the game is tilted the wrong way, it's precisely the opposite of my QWERTY so its kinda HARD to play it lmao. If i press down while playing, it goes left. If i press right on my keyboard, the camera goes up.
Anyone also encountered this issue?
Never mind guys, I see that I dont even need to use the keyboard to play the game . My bad, but one thing is bothering though, if i press (ingame) the left side of the screen, it opens the onscreen keyboard (because I used windows explorer to find the warcraft.exe and open it.
While ingame it's actually using the background application aswell as the game If you know what I mean (sorry for the bad English). Is there a way to make a shortcut for Warcraft.exe and set it into Start or something like that?
Thanx
Copy the file then go to Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Games and paste a shortcut there then rename it and remove the part that says (shortcut to) you can do this in the file explorer I did it and it worked fine. It only works when I paste a shortcut.

Here you go here's the link to Baronic's site
http://heretical-rantings.blogspot.com/2009/11/warcraft-2-wvga-version-totally-smooth.html
I've searched and searched and searched. But yet to find anything working well.
I'm trying to find a customizable soundboard app. There's so many sounds ide use (Dave Chappelles Rick James, Mr T, Anchorman... I could seriously go on forever)
If there's nothing out there you guys and gals could suggest for me, is there any devs out there that could point me in the right direction on how to write this app.
Cheers peeps
use this program http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-wdaft-for-wqvga-vga-qvga-and-square-mobile.html as a base. in the explorer, you can switch the sounds and graphics to what you like. p.s. this program friggin rocks!
Dude, your gonna get busted posting warez here.
Dude, your cant post warez here. read the rules
how is it a ware? it says its beta and its listed as freeware on that site.
Sorry dude. Didn't actually read it. saw the site 'ppcwarez' and though it was
my bad
Nice lil app. but how would one change the sound s and such?
its all good. i installed to my sd. i go to my device/sd card/program files/godaft. in the two folders are the images and sounds. you can make your own images or go to iconspedia.com and grab some free icons and replace them with the originals. then you can grab the sound files you want to use and replace them with the ones in there. i dont know what format it is either .wav or .mp3, but you can grab an mp3 converter freeware app from somewhere to change it. the only thing you gotta do is make sure you rename the file you put in with the one you take out.
Sweet,
Ive managed to change the header and sounds to dave chappelle's rick james.
There's only one problem. The buttons still read 'harder, better, faster, stronger'
I cant find anything related to these in the skin folder.
Any ideas?
ok i just checked and there is no button associated with the words. my advice is to just reverse-engineer the app until you find the text written into it. try using a .cab decompiler/extractor or visual studio. if you dont know how to do this then maybe look around on here for people who deconstruct files. i would look and try to write you a new board but i dont have the time and resources right now. you might also wat to try to find another sound board like the fart app. not all of them have all images cooked into it.
Dude,... this is THE BEST app ever invented. Work has never been that easy,... I put "shut up", "go away", "bring me coffee" and "cu tomorrow" in the app and I never ever have to open my mouth again

I didn't actually edit the program itself. I just created the 4 sound files (*.wav) I wanted and named them L1.wav, L2.wav, L3.wav and L4.wav
Then I replaced the original sound files in the Godaft/Sounds folder with my own ones and now the first 4 buttons play my sounds. The buttons are still called "work it", "make it", etc., but they play my sounds. So if I would add more sounds, it might become hard to remember, which sound is on which button,... but the 4 I have are all I need and easy to remember

Thanks buddy.
I used 7-zip to extract the cab file and got loads of files. Extensions are .001 all the way to .052 (I'm guessing these are the resouces) and an XML file (used to install)
I've looked through the XML in notepad and cant find anything there.
So its in the resource files somewhere. How do i open these files?
Ive checked out Visual Studio, but not sure which version I'm after as don't know which language this apps written in.
I'll grab the all-in-one package though

it sometimes sucks that you have to use multiple extractors to dig out one simple image. i still got an eye out for another soundboard for you that is much simpler to edit to your liking. there was also a guitar app i seen that was crazy simple to switch...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=482726. there is only 6 sound options and you have to skin the buttons the same as guitar strings.

The first one, with the drums has very good reaction. Like it! Didnt have the time to customize it yet...
ok so the market has MANY simple notepad apps. i am currently using AK Notepad and its ok EXCEPT i like to pull a txt file to use on pc and phone. what i really want is something similar to how windows works. i load the app and have my list of .txt files to open. once im done save to the txt file without having to go to apps main screen then selecting menu then exporting each time. i check discriptions of these notepad apps and didnt found one that had similar to what i want. is there such an app that any of you use?
Wrong forum my friend. =) I'm ordering my phone soon and I'll be able to help you then.
i think right forum well ill be waiting to trade some apps as we explore this phone. i have had it for almost a month and there is so much to it! now with froyo i have to explore it again haha. holding my phone in my hand longer then holding a girls ___ but its totally worth it!

Paul, Thank You man!!!! I too was using AK notepad, but text edit is much better. I need it for daily use at work to keep notes of my service calls and this fits my needs perfectly.
GDocs Notepad is a useful one, as it syncs with Google Docs (the clue is in it's name heh)
I use Text Edit too. Great little app, but it has one shortcoming - it does not allow you to select portions of text. It's either all, one word, or nothing. That sucks a little.
Folks, the hidden menu under the Dell EM app has been cracked open. Here is how to get to it. Its still stupid of Dell to have a convoluted way to get get to it.
1. GO to EM app on your DVP (dial ##634# - if u haven't done so to make the app appear under apps)
2. Open physical keypad
3. Double tap the blank dark area of the screen (below the MMS settings)
4. On the physical keyboard, press each of the first row buttons (qwertyuiop)
5. This should open up the advanced menu.
Same password to get to the RD Test and Protocol - *#6336#
Be careful when using the Chinese language menu's. It will make the app language as Chinese. You can always exit and come back to the app.
New features:
Nothing much except one important feature - File Browser (Windows Explorer)
Registry Editor - still doesn't work for writing and only good for reading.
How to Get to File Browser:
1. Go to RD Test. In the input box type *#6336#
This will open up RD test page.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click About EM. This will open up SORRY APPLICATION.
3. In the empty input box, type 983. This will open up the file browser.
The Explorer is so slow and might crash the app.
Note:The above steps only works for the DVP's that have the new EM App and updated FW version - 2250.1800.7355.205 and beyond or close to that.
If you try to load the new EM App in the current DVP's, it will not work for the new features.

Does any of this allow the DVP to backup SMS, for example if they are stored in a data file?

Built-in file explorer
Thanks for the info on the built-in file explorer.
One thing I have noticed is it shows more files and directories than other methods of looking at the files (like using the web server app).
I can see files in the root as well as many other directories.
For example, when I open the file explorer I see:
Storage Card\
Windows\
Temp\
Application Data\
mxip_notify.vol
Applications\
mxip_system.vol
My Documents\
Program Files\
Wallpapers\
DOCFILE\
and more...
I am not sure that it is helpful, but it is different.

Are you handing over Chris a dvp?
He won't be getting mine to keep, but if anyone smarter than I feels like they can do something with the registry after having access to a device, I'm game.

Is there a way to permanetly change the touch sensitivity of the phone or will it always reset to the default of 40 after a power cycle?
