For some reason I can't get color profiles to work on any 4.3 roms? Has anyone gotten it to work? Thanks in advance

that would be best asked in the franco kernel thread.

Are you using franco.Kernel? If that's the case, which version? The current r173 nightly is only for JWR66V (the OTA). It won't work properly with any current ROM.

Go into Faux thread in development and download the reset kernel.

I would recommend trying out the Halfbreed kernel, colours are so much better than stock. Contrasty was a bit too strong for me as well, but Halfbreed is perfect. Anyway, if you still want to go to the stock kernel then the answer is above.

Hi @scream4cheese wanted to know if this is the stock 4.2.2 JDQ39 kernel and if it is flashable through TWRP?
Thanks a lot.

Ok, so I've rooted and flashed rasbeanjelly from the nexus4root(dot)com website.
I've set everything up, down loaded apps I want etc, however I've heard that trinity kernel is very good with this ROM, if I'm wrong and there's a better kernel correct me. So how do I install the kernel? Same way I did the ROM? Is it compatible? Do I have to wipe everything? Is there a better kernel to use?
Thanks a lot for reading.

Just flash the .zip in recovery, no need to wipe anything. There's no 'best' kernel so your question about better kernels could easily get 20 different replies.
Ok thanks for your reply, what about compatibility? I've heard that if ROMs and kernels aren't compatible it can brick your phone

As long as the kernel and ROM you download are for the N4 it should be perfectly fine. In the future with new releases of Android there may be some issues, but devs usually make it pretty clear in the OP what you risk by flashing your phone.

Looking for a stable 4.3 rom. Currently running CM10.2 and there are too many bugs right now.. Have to reboot too often..
So what do you guys recommend? Only feature I really want is track skip with volume buttons..
Thanks.
Ohh and if it's not too much to ask could you link me to the rom.. I'm at work and not really supposed to be playing with my phone right now.

You could actually go for any Stock Rooted JWR 4.3 firmware. Install xposed module on top it and Gravitybox. Voila.

Paranoid Android is pretty stable. Loved it with AK kernel and their LCD presets.
Currently flashing CM 10.2 Nightly (latest). They are very stable. Only issue is that you need to flash every day or couple of days to be updated
Thanks guys.. Going to try stock with the add on

Anyone know if there are any kernels for 4.4.3 released yet? Or at least a fix to get some of the 4.4.2 kernels working with wifi? Currently using stock kernel and not happy with the heat!
Thanks guys.

Google hadn't released the kernel sources yet. That's what all the devs need.
Until that time your stuck I believe using stock kernel.

Is there anyway to pull the kernel from the stock rom package?
Give the devs some time. The factory image was just released yesterday evening

About how long did that take for 4.4.2?

This will work to convert current kernels if you hate stock to hold you over. Reverts the WiFi drivers.
Will I miss out?

I installed the fix and WiFi works now. Will I miss out on all the fixes for WiFi that the 4.4.3 update brought?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/kernel-ak-t2473454 - AK with UKM and Synapse is one of the most professional kernels, you won't need anything else to take control over your N4 (TricksterMod, FauxControl or else)
Hey guys,
Is is it possible to use the newer 4.4.3 built kernels on 4.4.2 roms?
Wheneven i try to do it my wifi breaks and i have to flash a 4.4.2 kernel to make it work again.

Upgrade to 4.4.3, only good things can happen, and you will be able to use the newest kernels.

Well i got my reason not to update, since my favorite rom isnt updated yet.
I know i can just update to 4.4.3 to get the newer kernels to work, but i just dont like to.
yea, too many kernel changes in 443. my only one experience of flashing a 443 kernel on 442 was a non boot. what rom are you waiting for?

Rastakat chameleon edition! I could use the xposed module to get the same effect as this rom (statusbar color changes) but honestly, its quite buggy that way.

Thats true! but honestly i cant live without that mod anymore, and the chameleon version has it so well implemented :cyclops:
My apologies, I was not aware you were waiting for a custom ROM, I thought that you were trying to flash a custom kernel for 4.4.3 on 4.4.2 stock.
