Android 4.3 Bluetooth Keyboard issues! - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Zaggflex Keyboard no longer works with the update to 4.3. Everyone add keyboards that do and don't work. Hopefully A dev can figure out a fix.

My Logitech Tablet keyboard for Android still works great.
Sorry to hear that you're having issues.

Thanks, are there any less expensive ones that have worked as well?

Even with the new 2.3 update.....the car dock and desk dock STILL DOESNT SWITCH AUDIO

You have got to love it. The devices said "will not work till 2.3" or whatever.
I now have it and guess what. It doesn't farking work. What a failure of a product. If I didn't get the docks almost free, I'd be demanding a refund.
I don't have the docks, but I know that samsung put these out for froyo:

https://market.android.com/details?...wxLDEwMiwiY29tLnNhbXN1bmcuc3ByLmRlc2tob21lIl0.
And there is this third party app:

I have no clue as to whether either will fix your issue.
Mine is working fine without any tweaks.
What is the problem you are having?

I put it in the dock and the audio still plays through the phone speaker....not through the audio out on either dock..
What rom are you on lepa? I am on the Phoenix rom (froyo), and it works fine. Tried the CM rom and the audio out on the car dock did not work with or without the sgs dock audio fix. Have not tried any ei22 roms yet.

100% stock.
If you are using Samsung's car dock program, then you need to push the speaker icon to route audio through the car's audio.

which is totally annoying. How hard is it to have it re-route the audio through the dock when you plug it in!!!
The desk/home dock App fails to install on a totally stock 2.3 epic
This tool will make it automatic:

I prefer this app for my car dock home app over the Samsung app. I use it with the app above:

I had the same problem, but then I found a desk/home dock in the market specifically for GB that installs fine.

ScummVM + AGS

I've never owned an Android device before so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm buying a Nexus 7 and am wondering if ScummVM works well on the Nexus 7?
And also Adventure Game Studio, there's an android port, but I'm not sure if it will work on the Nexus 7.
I can't post the link to the Android build as I'm a new user, can google "AGS engine Android port"
Thanks guys
Doesn't seem to work on mine at the moment.

Scummvm runs great. At least with lucasarts games. The mouse tracking is odd at first but you can actually change it to a click-point interface in the midi options

edit: got it working. Scummvm works great on Nexus7!
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but for me ScummVM just opens and gives me a black screen. Tried putting compatible ROMs where I think they should be but no luck. I'm rooted using the Wugfresh toolkit but other than that I've done nothing to the stock ROM. Any suggestions?

Just tried deleting the app cache for ScummVM. Seemed to do the trick. Launches fine now and tested with Beneath a Steel Sky.

Super GNES issues

Has anyone else run super gnes on their 7?
I can't seem to access any of the settings without a force close. Maybe its an issue with 4.1? Thanks for the input!

Is yours actually working now? Mine continues to just crash to the home screen without any errors, no matter what game I try to load. I've uninstalled/reinstalled with no change.
Sent an email to the dev with logcat, waiting to hear back. It continues to work fine on my phone (LG Optimus One P500, CM9), but it's kinda hard to play anything on a 3.2" screen once you've been spoiled by the 7" gloriousness that is the Nexus.
Do you guys hook up controllers to play? I've been playing some contra with nesoid but having some difficulty getting used to the touch screen dpad
I use an iControlpad. http://www.icontrolpad.com/ It was expensive but works great and has a thin profile so it sits in my bag nice. The phone clamp is removable.
I've been using sixaxis with my nexus 7 for all sorts of emulation and gaming purposes. I'd highly recommend it, especially if you own a PlayStation 3 already! It has run well on my 7 and my nexus s since the update in the topic post. I even got to play through Chrono Trigger: Flames of Eternity on it! Good times.

But the phone clamp fits on Nexus 7? I want a hands free solution to nN7 becomes a portable, it would be great.

[Q] Infuriating Bluetooth Controller Lag on S4

I've got a GS4 running 4.4.2 AOSP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544474) and I want to use my Moga Pro Power (http://androidspin.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/MOGA-Pro-Power.png) to play games like NFS MW and emulators like Super Gnes but I get an infuriating lag of ~0.4 of a second between pushing a button and the action happening, making games like Super Mario World on Gnes impossible. I've also tried a dualshock 3 controller over bluetooth and the lag is still there. If I use the PS3 controller plugged in with an OTG then the input lag is unnoticable. Is there anything I can do to improve the lag since I've read reviews and other xda threads which say the Moga works great?
Similar issue with the Nintendo Wii controller on both my S4 and Note 8. It worked fine on my previous Asus Transformer Prime from what I remember. It just may be how bluetooth is configured on our devices. Likewise, I have the same issue with my car's stereo, when I try to control the music playback. I wonder if there is a way to adjust it, but I doubt it.
So this looks like a Samsung issue then..... Were you running stock TouchWiz on your devices? What version of android were you using? I've looked all over the internet for someone with a similar problem with no luck. The strange thing is that I also get the lag on my Asus Nexus 7 with both my dualshock and moga.
Can the kernel affect Bluetooth performance because I've got a custom kernel that came with the AOSP rom?

I was running stock TouchWiz, with versions 4.1.2 to 4.2.2. I have not tried it on 4.4.2. I would think that the kernel could have an effect on the bluetooth performance, but I don't know enough to say that it's the only thing.
I see, I rechecked and actually also have a noticeable lag when using my sixaxis plugged in to both the S4 and nexus 7 (not as bad but still quite noticeable) which could mean this is a general input issue just more noticeable on Bluetooth.... What factors could affect input lag from external devices?
