How to underlined number inside a received SMS ?

Hello,
On most phone when you get an SMS with a phone number in it, you can allways underlined the number and then push CALL BUTTON and call this number
Example : hello John, call Suzan at 0123456789
and then 0123456789 will be underlined and you can call this number
Is that possible on Magician ? Anyone know a trick ?

Wow! This is so old problem but so important for me. Are there any solutions now?

You can draw a line on the screen with a Gel-pen.Then write it to a paper.Then dial it!

I have the Qtek 9000 and it has the feature. I'm not sure if it's a WM5 thing or just a Universal thing.

It's a feature that Microsoft added only with Windows Mobile 5.
You won't get it with older versions of the Messaging app.
With my XDA and XDA2, I just used to drag over the number, Tap+Hold, and choose Copy, then Edit/Paste into the Phone app.
No other way, unfortunately.

Soft Best Than ID caller

then we can assign an Mp3 tones for a contact + a group of contact , + big picture for each contact .

I recommend you stick with the current, ID caller. what wrong with it? why do you want to change?

I stopped using the CallerID app all together. All it does is put a pic on the screen for whos calling. When I reset my Mini, I softreset immediately to stop installing the stuff from the Extended ROM. I didn't reinstall it because:
1. Doesn't really do anything worthwhile.
2. TAKES UP 2Mb for what????

the problem with ID caller , is the ringtone , sometime , for the incomming call the ringtone was is the MP3 assigned , and sometime the default ringtone !
FYI i put the short MP ( 25 scd ) on /windows
and the problem persist

Caller name instead caller number in SMS

Hi folks,
TIM Brasil send me ans SMS with all calls I've lost. useful when I flying, at arrival I saw who call me.
The problem is the SMS contain the caller number, time and date, so I need to search at Contacts to discover the caller name.
Someone know a piece of software able to look at phone number inside of SMS and scan the Contact to match it, showing the name of the contact?

Here in Italy vodafone sends a similar SMS but sets the sender name to the one who attemped to phone you
In this way the phone shows automatically the name (if it has been stored in contacts)
To quickly discover who's the owner you can do two things:
1) if the message contains "This number +xxyyyyyy tried to call you..." press the down key (the number should be selected by a square box) click and your phone should start dialling that number (doing a lookup in contacts and showing the name)
2) you can remember the first numbers (excluding the international prefix) press "red phone", "green phone" (to quickly start the phone application) and use the hermes' smartdialer to quick find who's the owner.

Try using SPB Diary...

Make sure your numbers are in the international format.

In fact this work, but is not exactly what I want, because after a airplane trip the SMS has 3 or 4 numbers. So I need to call/abort 3 for times... It's not elegant way.

What is SPB Diary???

spb diary is a diary application in form of today plugin..
but as far as I know it can't do what you're looking for.

Hi Guys,
I'm trying again... Is there a WM developer here who could develop a little plug in to do it?
I think is not complicated, but I don't know WM development to do it.

i had once a siemens sl45 and when i had a phone number in a sms it replaced it by the name in the phonebook... i so miss that feature..... i haven't seen it on other phones since then...

phone number display problem and dialing numbers with extensions

Hi All,
Great site!!
I have 2 questions:
1 - When I use smart dialing from my hermes I use the direction arrows once I have found the contact and choose the work number of a contact that has an extension as +1 (999) 999-9999 x 9999 I then get a dialog saying "Invalid entry, please try again."
This same entry dials fine from speed dial or dialing from contacts, any suggestions, it's a real pain to manually dial the whole number.
2 - I have my numbers in outlook 2003 and they are formatted with the +country code format, so all numbers have a + in front of them.
When I smart dial, I can't see the last number of the phone number it only shows
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxx
Again it's really annoying as the only way I can find the number is by dialing and I usually use the smart dial to find a phone number when I am looking for someone's phone number.
BTW I have tried to edit the number and remove the + but outlook put's it back. This is actually good when travelling.

on my outlook, I have the phone num , ext and the phone will dial and wait for pickup before dialing the ext.
of course, i am not using the country code feature, so...

I would be happy with that behavior.
If I could change the font to be smaller in the phone application at least I could see the whole number.

any dial app that shows : call waiting in progress or sth like that ?

each phone has this ability that shows the other person that we are calling to , is speaking with the phone ! so these kinds of msgs will appear : call waiting in progress ...
can our phones do this thing ?!
