how many people have pre-ordered the Play vs planning to purchase after release?
and whats your thoughts on pre-ordering as i still find this quite a new concept for mobile phone contracts (my last phone was a HD2 no preorder on networks) is this a good thing to do or should be be first come first served on the day?
Yes I did pre-order. Quite normal in the Netherlands, was suprised I could only pre-order since this week though since the release date here is supposed to be march 28.
im still thinking about it because Verizon has it
i did preorder on contract which i never do, im in the UK so hopefully i only need to wait 1 more week

i rang to ask about my pre order status since it didn't change since the 23rd (the day i pre ordered)
they said they wont be getting stock still late next week and will start shipping back orders when they do
i swiftly cancelled my order
if anyone knows a place that will defiantly have stock on release day and will ship on the same day i would really appreciate it

i ordered mine from box.co.uk £465. they still have 6 in stock. guaranteed latest april 1st delivery, i called them, they said they will get the shipment in today (30th) but depending on what time they get it in, they might be able to send it out today! i might have it by tomorrow but they stressed most likely it'll be friday.
funny enough, i checked buymobilephones.net today and now the site says they have both the arc and play in stock, perhaps the customer service rep i spoke to was an idiot and they will actually ship them this week
im going to contact sales tomorrow and see what response i get

i had a look but both appear to still be on pre-order although they have confirmed on twitter the arc is in stock and has a 48 hour turn around time to dispatch i have asked about the play stock they said they are expecting stock soon

Hey, so for those of you who are like me (confirmed order but no update as to whether it has shipped or been placed on back order), What do we know? Google play still says that the estimated date of delivery is Nov 15, and it's pretty much 9:00PM PST ( I ordered at 8:34 AM PST Tuesday) so I'm assuming that either it's not going to be shipped, or something is wrong with google's servers/system. Any ideas?

same with me here my order has been placed and i have gotten an email about my order being back ordered but i called google play twice today and they said it may have been a technical glitch and your order may have shipped and you may not receive a tracking number due to sever issues and it should ship no later then tomorrow, that's what i got from two people from google today. not sure if its true but i hope so
I ordered my 16gb Nexus 4 on November 13th 8:47 AM PST I got a confirmation email 45 minutes later and haven't received anything since. It just says that it's scheduled to be shipped today November 15th. My guess is that it has been shipped, but nothing has been updated yet.
Hell I never even got a confirmation email after I made my purchase, I've received nothing from them this whole time, WHAT DO I DO?? I want to like google, I really do. I ordered a 16gb and a bumper at 8:33:57 am and have not received a shipping email or backorder email. Hoping to get a tracking number tomorrow, but if not, I am gonna assume it will show up no later than Monday.
I ordered a 16gb at 8:33:20 PST. I'm in Cali and still haven't received shipping info. I'm anxious, but won't be surprised if it showed up on Tuesday because it's still within 3-5 business days.

Still nothing for me as well. However, I noticed that those morons released the money they had held in my account sometime early this morning. Google Wallet still shows a pending charge though. What a complete disaster. I'm hoping Google gets sued by some consumer protection group. I will cheer on anyone suing Google at this point (you hear that, Apple?)

I've lost so much faith in Google. As soon as I get this phone, the first thing I'm doing is closing my Google Wallet account, and slowly decreasing my reliance on their services, just in case I decide to switch ecosystems in the future. I hadn't realized how stupid it was of me to be so heavily invested in Google until this happened.
I ordered my 3G Nexus 7 right at 9am PST on the 13th when it was released. I got my confirmation email saying Google received my order.
My card has not been charged and no more updates on my account so I called the Play Store help desk. They said they are on back order and it may take a few days before my order ships. But if I go to the Play Store it says they are in stock.
Anyone else having problems with their order? Anyone in the US get their tablet yet?

My order went through at 12PM ET (9AM PT). It took a lonnnnnng time to get through the checkout process.
My tablet was shipped out yesterday afternoon, 2-day UPS, and I received it this afternoon. Go UPS!

2 days processing, 2 days shipping. I didn't get my shipping notification until the day it was going to arrive so don't freak out if you don't get it the third day.
I ordered a 16GB on 23rd and still have not got any shipping mail. Today is the 3rd Business day and maybe I should get a shipping email in a day or two.

purchased a nexus 7 on the 21st, had a shipping notification on the 22nd, was in my hands on the 23rd...

It sounds like I got lucky. I ordered the 16gb version at 1 AM Friday the 23rd, got the tracking number later that morning, and it arrived on Monday.
I ordered mine on the 23rd and have not gotten my confirmation email. I called today to make sure everything was OK and they said my order was still processing.

I ordered on a Saturday, it shipped in the evening on the following Monday, and arrived Tuesday (the next day). I'd say this was quicker then average times though.

I ordered mine at 6:30pm on the 23rd and I still have yet to receive a tracking....I'm so jealous of you right now.
I just got off the phone with Google and they said that the problem is that the nexus 4 orders are backing up the he us 10 orders!! I was told my order has been approved and should ship within the next day or so. I originally ordered on the 23rd.

I ordered mine on 11/26 and the order posted to play as the 27th, I assume because it was 5:30pm on the 26th when it was "received" (according to the invoice) in CA and that's after business hours. I still haven't received a shipping notice.
I spoke to a Google Play Rep about it to make sure it processed correctly. I wanted to be sure there wasn't any trouble in the transaction since I recently had Identity theft issues.
He told me that it had charged my card successfully and was in processing and would most likely be Friday before it shipped and I would get it Monday at the earliest but probably later and that if I hadn't received it by Friday of next week to call them back.
So that "Delivered in 3-5 business days" Google play posts in the fine print is a not so reliable way of saying it'll be 3-5 before we mail it, Maybe.

Their customer service reps keep telling me it will send the shipping info email the same day I keep calling them. What a lie! Anyways after numerous calls and emails they finally sent me an email with some information of use. Hope this will help anyone wondering what is happening with their orders. This is what it says:

I placed my order from New York on Monday Morning 11/26/12 everything went through i even called to make sure and i have not even gotten a process completion email with a tracking number yet if i dont get anything by friday im calling them and demanding them to send it overnight at no extra charge....its all about the customer my friends! even though I am upset they dont sell the Nexus 10 in stores and have to go trough this whole process...I can say I am really excited to receive my new toy!!

the wait is very agrivating Im waiting for mine as well, and can you beleive they dont let you cancel your order...i ordered 2 by accident ( the other order got declined since i didnt have enough funds for both) but they cant cancel....i think this will be the last time i buy an item off the Google play store

I received my Shipping notification at 1:05 pm today. When I got the email and checked the tracking number, It was already in the Nashville hub and will be out for delivery tomorrow.

Wow this is totally unfair if you ordered it on the 26th and I ordered on the 22nd. Completely upset with Google now. I still have no delivery confirmation email. Congratulations on getting your nexus 10 btw.
If you're an existing customer, the phone is already available for sale through the my tmobile store. I just got of with a CS rep (my account has a history of issues authorizing EIPs so I wanted to verify my order) she made it sound like they had plenty in stock too. So much for PST time.

I didn't use Jump but I did get an EIP for it. The CSR actually canceled my first order and made a new one for me (because of the authorization issues on my account), so the phone is in the system if you want to call in an order. CSR said telesales is only for new purchases and "upgrades" are handled by CS.
Heh, hope they don't sell out before they open online orders to new people. I'm camping at my computer tonight.
CSR said they had "lots" of stock, and I quote "You'll definitely get it delivered before the guy who ordered an iPhone (previous customer she was with), he's been waiting since October".
