Help! My Samsung Galaxy S4 won't charge or connect to a computer. I've tried different chargers, cables, plug in locations, car, 110, computer. There is no dirt. Connection is clean. I have a spare battery and both of them will charge on the battery charger. I have tried backed up roms. I have done a factory reset.
All of this and nothing helped. Am willing to try anything. Verizon is going to send me a refurb.
Help please.

I'm not sure if it is because I upgraded to CM10.1 or because I had my phone plugged into a charger all night that didn't even charge the phone, but my USB port won't connect to my computer anymore. When I connect it, it says the device malfunctioned. What could be wrong? I feel like it's because the other charger messed it up.

10.1 USB is broken. It may work if you restart the phone while plugged in

I apologize in advance if this has been asked before. I just got my note 3 today its MJ7 and Kingo just hangs on connecting forever it for 10...20...30 minutes. I have disabled anti virus I have enabled usb debugging set screen timeout to 10 minutes and nothing is working. I even unistalled the drivers reinstalled them and even let the Kingo app install. Should I just update to the newest and try like that?
Much help appreciated

Hmm, sounds like you are doing everything right. Did you try another usb port or possibly have another pc to try?

Maybe try another cable, if you have one.

That fits the 3.0 output on the note 3? I don't have one ughh

You can use any micro usb cable. It doesn't have to be the 3.0 cable. A standard micro usb cable fits in the right side of the charging port.

Hello smart people... So I updated my nexus 4 to the 4.3.3 version and now it just won't charge... It has been connected to the wall charger for 6 hours and still 34%... Please help!!! Also I have absolutely no tech knowledge... So easy instructions please???
It doesn't make sense that the update would cause the phone not to charge. If try a different charger or a pc. See if it'll charge then. If it still doesn't then I'd try reflashing the factory image

Thank you...I'll figure out how to reflash factory image and see if it works..I have tried different chargers and PC too...and it was fine right up til the update...now its charging incredibly slowly...and heating up a lot too..
Im having the exact same problem! Tried switching chargers, didn't work!
All of a sudden, as in since Monday, my phone has stopped charging. Multiple cables and chargers still result in the same problem which is the phone things it's charging, status says "charging (ac)" but nothing is actually happening. The battery slowly goes down but the weirdest part is at 0% it will stay alive with the charger in but still not actually increase.... Any ideas?

Have you booted into recovery and clear dalvik and cache? Have you tried a factory reset?

I'd try finding a different battery and see if it charges that one. Stop at a local store and they will let you try one from a demo unit.

I've actually got two and neither work. They charge in my standalone battery charger but not in the phone. I may try a different rom but that seems weird that I'd be the only one with the problem....

Recently, my phone has been taking a long time to charge. I am using the stock charger, but it is the same with every charger. It takes 10 hours to charge from zero to one hundred percent. I even lose battery sometimes while plugged in. A factory reset DID NOT help, neither did wiping the cache. What can I do? I need this phone.

Check what amperage your phone is being charged at... Google play store has an app called galaxy charging current lite. It'll tell you how much charge is going in.
The max a kitkat charge while screen is on is 1200mAh. While off it can reach 1900mAh. Pre-kitkat can do 1900mAh with screen on but it gets hot.
If your phone is charging only at 1000 or below, you may need to try a diff charger or a diff cable.
You probably have counterfeit charger. It could also be battery problem, I recommend replacing battery or getting new charger. Good luck.

Sounds like a dirty or malfunctioning micro usb issue to me. Try using a tooth pick or a piece of paper to clean out your micro usb slot. Hopefully it's just dirty and not malfunctioning.

I don't recommend this until you've checked with new battrry, charger, and cable. You can risk damaging the sensitive USB port on your phone and if that happens, the cost of repair is significantly higher.
