Is there any chance to get rid off 4 Gb file limit? I'm trying to get a full hd movie phone unsuccesuffuly.

4gb is a limitation of the fat32 file system
so unless someone's made a way for it to read NTFS there wont be
I was thinking that 800/480 is slower than 480p . I dont know verry well howbis with resolutions . Thanx

480p = 720x480 or 854x480, 1080p is 1920x1080 which is over 4 times the resolution of the phone screen. Quality and speed isn't based on resolution.
Thank you. What is the best torrent downloader that all fo you use?

Except Android is linux based and uses the ext2 filesystem, if I got things right, so the filesize limit should be 16GB minimum (I'm not sure about android ext2 block sizes?)
Is 4 gb even you try to download from phone or.to.copy from pc .. I was trying woth ttorrent.

But the user area on the internal memory and the MicroSD card is FAT32.

+ 1 for this.
I use my phone for films with HDMI output at my parents house when I visit and full hd would be awsome.
So has anyone been able to get the phone to mount the SD card with ext2 partition? I am receiving unsupported filesystem error.

When I look my partitions I see that my SD Card and my external SD Card are formatted in FAT32.
The only solution for microSD is format the microSD and use
fuse.ko and ntfs-3g from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15167790&postcount=41
if the video is mkv it should be simple to cut in pieces, even without recoding.
yeah, we can use file splitter to split that video instead of converting it to lower resolution thats what I did with my transformers 3 hd and it works fine

i think it wont work for memory card....its for mounting usb....
memoy cards with ntfs file system may work with minor modifications in kernel....and system......
any dev may focus this issue...then we can get rid of this limitation........
So I've noticed the Windows tablets that are coming out mostly all have the same chipset we do, did that mean we might also be able to load Windows RT?

No because rt requires 2gb of ram and a resolution of 1366x768 and windows rt is licensed by Microsoft.

Ahh the required 2GB of ram I was unsure about that, I had noticed the other tabs having it but figured just trying to one up. Alright thanks, I enjoy Android anyways so I wasn't even looking to switch just thinking dual boot would be fun to poke around on.
I know OpenGL ES 3 needs to support it first, I also know that in order for the OUYA to support it(hardware wise), there are some pre-req's. The apk from Play works, but of course crashes when loading a game. Is there any chance of getting support for our OUYA's?

Need a quad core a15, or snapdragon 800, maybe a tegra 4... Basically a newest gen chip which this doesn't have.

This isn't the first/only revision of the OUYA, so shouldn't we be planning ahead? If we can dev now, get things at least running on OUYA. When the latest & greatest OUYA comes out, things can implemented and fine tuned! Whadda think?

I think that because it's being developed for android in general, little work needs to be done to get it running on the 'ouya 2'. But it's relatively pointless to have it running on the og ouya. There's virtually no difference between the ouya and any other Android device...

I have a fast custom built PC:
i7 3770k, 16gb ram + GTX650Ti graphics and it ever struggles at times to emulate some games using Dolphin.
Therefore I would say Ouya 2 whatever specs it may be will not come close to achieving this.
I cant see this being viable in a portable device for several years.
Not sure why someone is developing this just now when we still cant perfectly emulate N64 / Dreamcast etc.

Does it struggle on native resolution, or do you have the graphics turned up (on your PC)?
I think developing Dolphin for Android is a great idea. Even if we can't use it now, it will be very nice to use as soon as the tech is available.

+1 the more the marrier. Ps2 emulation would be sweet now too since its a dated platform.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Neither of these will work well, they are difficult to emulate on n Pc, ps2 requires more power to emulate well than the Wii does... I can't get Gt4 to run well to save my life on my i7-680, with a mediocre graphics card (that still outperforms the Ouya by a long shot) Wii emulation might be possible at a very low resolution if OpenGL ES 3.0 ever works on the Ouya, and if the software is heavily optimized, and if we are significantly over clocked. Lol

except that the cpu/gpu is not underclocked at all and has an active cooling solution, which cannot be done in other android devices due to size/form factor, and power restrictions for portability.
It is after all it is a t33 tegra which is the fasted one available and uses ddr3 ram at 1600mhz.
Still much slower than a Snapdragon 600, which is the only thing that will run this right now (and even that runs it poorly)

by the numbers I can agree, except that the T33 on this particular platform doesn't need to be throttled or "woken up". If the Ouya had a snapdragon 600 setup in this fashion, I believe it would be amazing, but the underlying problem in this case isn't the hardware, it is the gimped version of the OS.
If we see an CM version for the ouya, I believe we could see a renaisance with the device (as with others that have gotten this treatment).
Oh and I got my wife's i3 based intel 3000 graphics sony laptop to run Super Smash Brother Melee, so low end pc hardware can do it.
Is there a way to bypass that limit?

If I am not mistaken for FAT filesystem max file size is something around 4GB. So with that file system i don't think it is possible to get larger.

Hello everyone, I am a new user here (actually I've been using XDA for help since ages!).
I created this new thread since there wasn't a thread like this since the game launched.
So I installed Modern Combat 5 on my Nexus 4 which is running stock 4.4.4 KitKat and Franco kernel with 1.944 GHz over clock and 450 MHz GPU over clock. The thing is, I can't enable Ultra Graphics settings in the game. There are only three settings in-game I.e. Quality-optimal-performance. I enabled the quality settings but it doesn't enable the graphics as seen in trailers or high end smartphone gameplays. I checked out Shared prefs folder in data/data/com.GLoFTMC5(something like that I don't remember)/shared prefs and opened each and every file but I couldn't find any graphics settings! Can someone help me to enable the ultra graphics? Thanks and greatly appreciated!
Looks like it will take some time figuring it out!

get the app gltools (chainfire 3d might work too) install, find the game in the app, enable custom settings, use fake gpu, and set template ---> tegra shield(tegra4) this will work 100%! have fun with full effects
I tried gltools once when I was on 4.4.3 and it didn't turn out so good. My device got stuck in bootloop and I uninstalled it from recovery (fortunately it created an uninstall zip file for gltools).

Yes, the game lags a little during explosion . have you overclocked your nexus? I have @1.944 GHz and [email protected] MHz so the game stays on 30 fps constant and during explosions around 17-20 fps. Oh and also the I use intellithermal instead of thermald and have it at 75° C before the CPU throttles down (although when playing the game, CPU's max temp is around 65°)

But I don't run it on 1.944 all the times. Usually I keep it @1.1 GHz with snake charmer (2 cores offline) and when gaming 1.512 GHz and when playing games like dead trigger 2/Real Racing 3/MC5 I over clock it to 1.9 GHz
