So i managed to compile 4.3.2.1.000.000 Grouper ROM from Google Source today.
Was wondering why I'm getting 4.3.2.1.000.000. I've never seen this before when compiling.
I assume this is PURE AOSP?
Can upload if anyone want's ...

When you compile AOSP from the master branch, it has a version number like that to show that it's different from the stable releases.Android 4.2.2 from master was 4.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.

You don't install it, The source code is needed to build a custom kernel, but either enable overclocking or generally tweaking it to improve performance. You need the Android SDK to compile a kernel.
But, can we get the OS from this source or it's just the kernel?
Sent from my GT-S5830B using XDA App
Install Linux eg Ubuntu, down it, build it directly or git AOSP source then build.
My computer is unstable, or I can use it to port CyangenMod. But I have git AOSP source, I might try to build one. However, how to flash the built is a big trouble...
been trying to dowload this for a whole day. each time only got 10kBps speed, and resulting in timeout. also cannot resume. wth samsung????

Well, ladies and gentleman. I seem to be having this annoying issue.
It seems that it is only me... I tried to start fresh 3 times.
Anyone have any ideas?
It is in hardware/qcom/media/libI420colorconvert/ColorConvert.cpp
Here is the problem at hand : http://pastie.org/8082846

I can't see any folders named libI420colorconvert in jb4.2. They are there in the other branches. Maybe you have the wrong branch?

It seems like the Ivan source code is somewhat older - it uses LOGV while in Android 4.2 we have ALOGV etc. You would have to manually update the Ivan's code or use the original one (which may not work ofc). I have G+ account so you should be able to contact me through there. I set up an IRC channel a while ago so that could be an option too.
Sorry, my last post did not make any sense.
I am having an issue with this.
I used pika's manifest to sync code for display
https://raw.github.com/pikachukaki/android_local_manifest/cm-10.1/local_manifest.xml
and it syncs display-legacy and tries to remove display that does not exist.

You have good Devs on u880, I know blefish is gonna release CM 10.1 compiled from source so soon.
Well,
I have CM10.1 Device tree by ivan! I still don't know how to make Vendor Trees
AFAIK, In CM10.1 only RIL is not working
I will try to give my best
(Btw, I am a source builder )
@nolinuxnoparty Ivan CM 10.1 trees are totally fixed, what you mean guy? I cannot understand you... That is a thread made by IVAN! where he uploaded him sources for build Cm 10.1 , so I don't understand what you say. Also we have enoughs u8800pro DEVs who knows about compiling. Ivan is called qiwu here, and also there is him CM10.1 built from that souces uploaded by me.

As we discussed much in my CM10.1 thread I thought to make a discussion thread for further development.I hope this is not against forum rules and if please tell me and I'll change/delete it.
Rules:
-Don't ask noob question like: "How to root,...!"
-Don's spam this thread
-Only use this for development purpose
Now feel free to post everything about development for our HTC Buzz!
for cyanogenmod 10+ look at this ----> http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/12089/2/services/surfaceflinger/SurfaceFlinger.cpp
This is the commit that fixed screenshot, task previews and other openGL es related stuff in ICS
Just found out my cpu is 64-bit, so im installing ubuntu 13.10 64-bit and then syncing up CM10.1 to fix errors with you sasa
Thanks for the link and all the best while fixing bugs.Anyways yesterday my hard disk got broken so all my data is lost so my source is lost!
I need to sync it again now!
I will also begin now and then try to fix the bugs too!

Also I'm going to install ubuntu for my new laptop, now that I've got my own i can start developing even further more
And I'm going to start helping fixing bugs in cm9
Also i'll try make a new kernal for HTC buzz cm9

How hard exactly? Then in that case, i'll still try. If no luck then
Yes, Kernel Development is harder than compiling ROMs.The first build is a pain.If it boots up it's pretty good. Then only adding the features is over. But if you don't have proper source like for the Buzz(We don't have 3.x Source), you have to search for alternate source.Like me I found a source from LG Optimus Me!
It has same Chipset as our Buzz and is also ARM-V6.So when we use our config of Buzz it should compile and boot up!
found a good kernel source as mentioned by you sasa ----> https://github.com/PecanCM/lge-kernel-pecan/tree/android-msm-3.0-jb

It seems to be up on AOSP: https://source.android.com/source/building-kernels.html
There is an article from Android Police from Nov 5th that Google released the Fugu kernel back then. I'm not to well versed if this is what you're looking for. Hopefully it is
