The longest anyone has had it on their phones is like 15 hours. Give it a few days.
You won't be able to really tell for a few days when people stop picking up their phones every 10 seconds to play with it.

I fixed my gps early this morning and then set it up with a full charge to do a battery calibration. I turned 4G on to help it drain. I also used it to read xda for about 30 minutes earlier this morning (not sure why the battery stats don't seem to show everything that has been running). Here's where I'm at 8 hours later. I would say the battery life is pretty freaking great! Can't wait for some UV'ing once we get source.
Note: I have Overclock widget set to 1000/200 screen on and 400/200 screen off.

i somewhat second this i have left it unplugged all last night and i am at like 80-90 percent full with some what use..
I am still using juice defender, but my phone as been off the charger for almost 12 hours and I am probably around 75% battery left. I will be testing out turning off JuiceDefender tomorrow, but for now it looks amazing.
CRAPPPP
it some actually deads faster than 2.1
I've been having pretty fantastic battery life. So far the phone has been unplugged for 6 hours, I've been texting on and off all day, and played angry birds for about an hour. I'm sitting at 75%. Probably not fantastic but not bad.
I've noticed an improvement, but as to how much, I'm not sure. Maybe 20 to 40 percent better.

Quote of the day!
from a epic Galaxy far, far away.
excellent battery life
61 percent with some youtube , texting surfing the web angry birds and 4g on(sleep mode for 4g works really well) and apperently my gps was on all day. Its been 7 hours and 32 minutes ..I would normally be at like 35 percent
I have definitely noticed an improvement. It seems as good as baked ultimate and that says a lot.

I am getting battery life like it's a completely different phone.
I was always rooted but with stock roms and kernels and on 2.1 my battery life was frighteningly bad. I have been on for well over 8 hours and using my phone off and on all day checking out froyo features and the battery indicator is showing still nearly full battery life. On 2.1 I would have had to pop it on the charger at around 2 pm today or earlier.
* I am going to be making a thread about LEGIT improvements that froyo gives us with this phone. There are a ton of piss and moan threads, but froyo adds a ton of features (several i'm sure I don't know about) and MUCH BETTER battery life. *
Yeah so I burn through my battery in 6 hours... people say that it can last 24 with heavy usage. But that's total BS. So is there an extended battery pack that I could get?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I'm interested as well, I did buy a 2200mah battery on ebay but considering its coming from china i got a good 2-3 weeks before i see it.
I was looking at that and wondered if was true and not total bs. PM me when u get it plz

If you burn through your battery in 6 hours youre doing something wrong. Try.draining your battery all the way and then charge it over night

My notifications are ALL off, i run a few chat apps for maybe 30 minutes tops, but all i really do is text. My total USAGE comes out to about 4 hours and 30 minutes with Nighttime Powersaver. And my screen time is usually about 14-16 hours depending and i'm not rooted or anything.
Im texting and using data constantly...
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Also I did the battery calibration so I shouldn't have to drain the battery and fully charge it....

You should consider rooting it and running GreyBlur. I was running through the battery like crazy, actually got AT&T to swap for another Atrix and still had the same problems. GreyBlur really improved my battery life and I'm able to get through a day of medium usage and still have about ~40% when I plug it in at night.
So if im going through the battery fast that means it could be a problem with the battery?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Had same problem rooted went to greyblur I'm at 20hrs and at 30% right now since my last unplug been using it hardcore for the last 4 hrs
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
there is a 5000 milli amp battery for the atrix. i get 10 hours on 1930 so by simple math, this should get
24.8 hours
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-for-motorola-atrix-4g-with-battery-door.html
I have two numbers on my battery uptime 23.5 hrs and since unplugged 13.5 hrs! What's the difference don't no but def best battery in a phone I've ever owned under heavy use considering all the stuff you can do with this thing amazing
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I have a celltronix universal portable power pack. (4000mAh)
Has two USB ports to charge stuff, comes with multi tips to charge stuff, but I just use the usb cord that came with my atrix. Outputs 5v, charges in about 4 hours.
I don't use it much on my atrix, but I have before, just plug it into the usb port and recharges my phone, can get almost 2 full recharges out of it for the atrix.
I like it cause I can also use it to charge other items also! Used it for my iphone 3gs before I got the atrix.
You can charge power pack from wall, car, or comp usb.(mini-usb plugin to charge it.
Just google "celltronix universal portable power pack" it will pop up on a number of sites. ( I bought mine in a truck stop)
You burn through it because you have a defective product.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Yea, burning through it in 6 hours means you definitely have a bad battery. GreyBlur destroyed my battery life though, not exactly sure why it increased some peoples' but decreased others.
I had greyblur loaded once then went into recovery wiped everything then installed again first time battery barely made it to 4-5 pm when I went to for at 8 now 13+ hrs unplugged at 9am made it till 12:30am id say that's awesome. U probably got bad battery get couple new ones from what I hear they r cheap. Every phone is different t as far as battery and speed like my battery is awesome but when I run the graphic test I get 2300-2500 scores when I see others getting 2600-2800+
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Ok. So i'll go to the AT&T Store and what should I say so that theyll give me a new one? They are hardass's and I need to convince them, any help on that part?
Don't lie. Tell them you think the battery life has been unsatisfactory. And with a battery that big you should be able to get better than 6 hours.
I burn through my battery pretty quick too though. Today it was dead around 6 hours (11-5) charged and now near death again. But I don't have a screen timeout, notifications on, downloading podcasts on listen(listening to them on speaker), everything on 3G. I don't care what phone you have, that's killing the battery. Its hard to make a battery last on a lazy Sunday.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I get 14 hours with constant usage... Facebook and twitter sync 1 hour gmail sync 30 minutes. Brightness around 30 percent no auto... Wifi scan 8 minutes. De bloat no freeze. No setcpu profiles... Autokiller set to optimum. I get around 28 hours on one charge with light usage and obviously lots of screen off time... Lol gotta sleep sometime.

Make sure you GPS is off when you do not need it. It uses up alot of battery when on. I left it on once for two hours and killed 20% battery.

im suffering a bad battery right now.
my phone will ran out of battery after like 6 hours' use. it's not as good as iphone 4, but not that bad. all the android handset dont perform good on it. but my battery went down to 85% from full charge after 8 hours sleep. any solution to this? another problem is that when i browse xda on my phone, only 12 % run out after 1 hour's use. but when i play the bakery story, the battery go down 1% every 2 minutes.
i just want to know this happened. maybe the game eat more power, but not that much i think.

Have u tried Juice Defender? It's free from Android Market. Made a massive difference to my battery life. The phone used to die after around 8 hours but no it lasts all day and still has around 70% when I'm going to bed.

In regards to browsing XDA for an hour vs playing the bakery story, it's likely because XDA is much less CPU intensive. When the CPU is being stressed, the battery gets eaten up pretty quickly.

my battery conservation method is simple:
- Turn on wifi and leave it on
- Set the phone to GSM only.
This almost doubled my battery life using stock HTC gingerbread.

Why would turning on wifi improve battery life?
The idle time on Unity is very good. I'm somewhere around day 2-3/4and just now getting to 50%
However when you're using it the battery tends to die pretty quick.
Pyromod! its amazing, I get about two days battery life.
I never worry anymore, If i'm going out of the house around 5 PM with 20 percent battery life, I'm good for the rest of the night and morning.

That's how it is. The firmware interacts with the battery in a way that any % over 90% is considered a full charge, so sometimes this comes away with the phone sitting at 100% for a long time (up to like 2 hours for me if I don't use the phone much), then draining normally. It doesn't drain fast, it just drains fast compared to the battery sitting at 100%.

Not true. CM6 had a drain rate of 3%/h on idle with no connections and me popping it on once or twice an hour to get a text.
Cm7 was around the same. All stock clock with downclock with the screen off to around 500mhz.
Unity's idle rate is only about 1%/3-4 hours. It's insane.

No, I mean you clearly are going to drain fast when using a phone compared to idle.
And any ROM with a proper kernel can be undervolted / underclocked with apps to disable data in order to drain less battery in idle.

I can't tell if you're kidding or not, but the phones and ROMs I've seen all exhibit this behaviour. The OS will report the battery at 100% for a long time, as if the battery has more capacity than the OS knows about. A more accurate estimate would be to wait until you're at 99%, and then see how fast the meter drops. Better yet would be to use something like Current Widget or Battery Monitor Widget to record real-time current draw, then calculate how much energy has been consumed.
I wish there was a way to calibrate what "100%" actually means, but I don't think that is possible, since it is a hardware limitation.
I've updated to 4.2 as soon as it came out, few apps didn't work but I soon noticed that it wasn't the issue.
The battery life on 4.2 seems to have drastically decreased for me. I was able to watch over 10 hours of video on maximum brightness with Wi-Fi and maximum volume, after update on MINIMUM brightness and half the volume I was able to pull off about 6 hours.
Did your battery life improve or gotten worse on 4.2?
Stand by time for me seems to have improved. No data to back that up, but I usually know where my battery is at anytime of day and it has been higher than usual since the update.

For me it seems to drain very fast, ever since the update AND I've got less apps since I did clean install. I kept same settings for Wi-Fi etc. Even Stand by seems to consume a lot more battery, I mean it drained 40% during the night. I wasn't downloading or anything.
Definitely worse. It even takes longer to charge.
The battery life after 4.2 update is awful.

No difference for me. If anything it is better. Left my tablet idling after charge last night and it was still 100 percent when I woke up. On 4.1.2 it would generally go from 100 to 98 left overnight. Screen on time seems about the same.

You got big problem then. Wipe it might help
Definitely worse. Using it for ten minutes after a charge drains it by nearly ten percent, and this was after a full charge cycle. On conservative use it lasts me 6, maybe 7 hours, whereas on 4.1.2 with much more running at once I would ten hours easily. Its not that much, yeah, but I'm still going to downgrade. It's a good thing Google actually lets you downgrade unlike Apple.
for me battery life is much better. i get 17 hours with screen on 56% .

Hello,
After the update I noticed the tablet rebooting occasionally, so I flashed from scratch scrosler's 4.2 rom. The dev said is the official one, he just added root. I lost 25% in 7 hours of moderate use with auto brightness . Over the night battery remained at 100%.

After few battery cycles, I still have to keep my opinion of worse battery life sadly.
Just looking right now under battery settings, there seem to be many more "Google" things "Android OS (as it was before) Google Services, Android System, Tablet Idle, and Maps and Media server also seem to be taking up more battery.
