Hi.
I have a question.
Can I copy a file from a directory like :
Prop/cpuinfo
To external storage or internal SD ?
If yes how can I do it ?
Or if possible or easier how can I read the file from there ?
Thanks in advanced.
Take a look here:

Hi sorry but i have a question, why is my external sd card is recognised as internal storage(first pic) also and i do not have any option to unmount it.(second pic)
Also i have my files on my external sd card in the file 'sdcard' on my phone however i also have a file called sd_ext(empty) which i presume is the external sd card. Therefore, is it normal to have it like that? and how to i know which is my internal and external respectively. Thanks for the help in advance.
i can view all the files and they are recognised by my phone but i just want to know if there is a fix for this.

this must be a systems bug. It´s the same to me and all others. You can ignore that.

you can unmount your sd card in the phone settings (it must be settings/storage/SD Card unmount)

Try to use another root file explorer (for ex.: https ://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=de )

First of all: you don´t have to use another phone for making screenshots. Just press Power for 2 Sec. and choose Screenshot. (You have to activate this first in the phone settings.)
hi thanks for replying but i already have es file explorer but i am still confused as i don't know which is my internal or external i a file under mnt call sdcard and it stores everything(it contains files on my sdcard but i am not sure wether all of them belong to the external adcard) while the sd-ext is empty but under storage it says that 1.53 of 1.8gb is occupied.
Also for the part to mount or unmount the sdcard i donot have the option as shown in the second pic.i went the the correct directory as you said

Try using a different file manager or link2sd app.
file managers include
CABINET
ROOT EXPLORER
ES FILE EXPLORER
Hi, I just received my s7 Edge saturday and I bought a micro sd card. I was looking my files and I saw a strange thing : I have a folder in my root files and the sd card folder was 16 gb but when the files and folders inside was just 700 mb. Thank you but sorry for my bad english.
Any ideas ?

I don't understand exactly what you want but if the files on the sd card is not needed you can format and erase everything or just copy the needed files to PC and format external sd card

Unfortunately the sd card folder is not the sd card, it is the usable storage on the phone and is located in the root of the phone but there is the same files in storage/emulated/0. I can't understand
Yeah ! I found my problem ! Es Explorer create a bin and she was 16 gb big! That's why my storage was full

Thanks for the reply
How would that help ?
I thought that once you set up the adoptable storage that some system files are are copied over to the sd card. and also when installing some apps some/all of the files will be copied over to the sd card.
Now if i want to stop using the adoptable storage, how do i do that without messing with all the files that have been copied over to the sd card?
