Thanks for the reply
How would that help ?
I thought that once you set up the adoptable storage that some system files are are copied over to the sd card. and also when installing some apps some/all of the files will be copied over to the sd card.
Now if i want to stop using the adoptable storage, how do i do that without messing with all the files that have been copied over to the sd card?

i have done a search and cant find the answer, can you tell me where i would find the root folder on a storage card ????
When you explore using Activesync you will see 'Explore My Windows Mobile Device' Click on that then storage card, your then in the root of the storage card. There is a not root folder as such, the root of the storage card just means not in a folder on the card.
that is what i thought, many thanks for the reply. I was just making sure, thanks

EXACTLY WHICH I FIND BUT DIDNT GET SUCCEED YET:crying:
first of all,
you cant swap internal memory (internal SD) to external sdcard as both Are different...
what you can swap is the /data folder which is THE INTERNAL APP STORAGE PARTITION.
and you may evn move(link) the /system/app folder to sdcard.
but for all this firstly we need
1) mounting script
2) ext3/ext4 modules
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY, a kernel with init.d support.

Use Folder Mount:
1)Download Folder Mount apk
2)Grant the application Root access by Superuser
3)Create the pairs. There is an option for automatically creation of pairs too once we select source folder.
4)Wait during transferring of files to ext SD card.
5)Once done open List of pairs option enable the pair and play the game.
Root access is required.
It works great no lag.I am using transcend 32Gb class 10 memory card.i have total around 18GB games on my phone.
please devs do something for this memory swaps....messed up with this memory prbs..
Any progress?
Hi, I'm using Dirty Unicorns on my Redmi2. Since it's marshmallow, I'm using adoptable storage, i.e. using my sd card as internal storage, so I can install apps to the sd card. but since this mode formats and encrypts the sd card, I can't access files that I want to flash with TWRP when booting recovery. I thought TWRP 3 was supposed to support adoptable storage, but even after updating it I can't seem to get it working. Am I forgetting something here?
Thanks in advance.
Where in the Aroma File manager are you Searching for your SD card ? Pls attach a Screenshot of the directory , using root explorer
You must identify where exactly your adoptable SD card mounted to. You can search for it using CM File manager. It should be like /mnt/storage/XXX.

Is it possible to move user apps to sd card on K8 VS500PP? If so please explain how to me. I don't want to expand the memory onto an SD card. Thanx
Wait, what? You want to move apps to sd card but don't want to get sd card? Or you don't want to use sd card as adopted storage? However there is two options to move apps to sd card:
1. Using apps like link2sd (requires root)
2. Using adoptable storage feature (android 6+ required)
I dont want adopted storage..and i would love to root this thing...but my gf thought she was helping me and installed the OTA 500pp2...bootloop is not what i want.
Sent from my m1v using XDA Labs
