[Q] s4 sbeam very limited compared to s3

So I got my S4 the 2nd day it came out. I was lucky enough to get the 32gb. recently I tried sending someone a music file and for the life of me couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong. worked perfectly fine with the s3. so after digging around on the net I found out that samsung has disabled sbeam for everything except pictures/videos.
i am aware that there are apps out there that both parties can install to send other kind of files to each other with tapping feature.
one can also use wifi direct and not have to worry either.
I guess my main question is : Is there a rom out there that enables me to send non picture/video files without having to install a 3rd party app or use wifi direct?

Have you tried looking in the "Development" and "Original Development" sub forums to see what the functions of the ROMs available have? Reading through the threads would provide more information that might not be listed in the OPs. I'm guessing you are not getting replies because this might be a feature that most people really don't care about with custom ROMs so they don't check. Researching the individual ROMs and asking questions (that haven't already been asked) within those threads would probably get you a few more suggestions. Good luck.

ROAM in Cabo, Mexico

Hello all, pls allow me to ask this, even if its a repeat - I can't find the answer I am looking for, and I searched this forum.
I am on Sacs v6. I am going to Cabo on Friday. What will roam control do for me, how can I use my phone down there without incurring a $200 bill for 4 days?

I'm in Mexico City a lot and, quite frankly, I just turn off my data, and only make a call if it's very important. Texting out is .50, and texts to you are .15 if I remember correctly.
I just use wifi at the hotels.

Or you could unlock and buy s telmex sim card.

How To Fast Charge Galaxy S4 I9500?

Hi.I've read that fast charge can only be apply with custom kernel.Please help me.What kernel support that fast charge?

Why not go to the download section, pick a KERNEL that grabs your attention, read the information and if it is not included ask in the KERNEL thread or you can always try a kernel out yourself.

I'm not serious about this, as I'm a member I have to do my best to keep all tidy and understandable. I don't know what you're meant with "You also not born directly become Einstein". If you know how to reply to my post like that, you should read the rules and understand the forum and the right section before even creating a question thread in a General Section. There's a dedicated thread for that.

Hello devs! im using galaxy S5 G900f and i have installed a s6 rom port on it (darklord rom) every thing is like the s6 but one thing is missing ànd its the s6 camera app can someone port the s6 camera app to the s5 i want it so bad and i shall be very grateful to him

Oh boy. Let me help you out just real quick before you get slammed.
1) If you're posting regarding a very specific rom, try posting in that roms thread before starting a new one.
2) If you DO start a new thread, don't post a question "[Q}" when there is a dedicated thread called "Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" that is there for the very purpose of asking and answering questions.
3) If it seems that your inquiry is more app specific related than rom then perhaps you can also check to see if the specific app (in your case S6 Camera) was already ported here in the "Galaxy S 5 Themes and Apps" and do a quick search. You might see that there have already been requests for what you're asking:

Anyone out there still using galaxy S4 GT-I9500 ?

GT-i9500 is almost 4 year olds. :angel:
I and my friend were buying this phone together in 2013.
Yesterday ,my friend changed to an iphone. He said S4 was great but now no one uses a 4-year-old device anymore.
I think we can prove he was wrong. I see although we just have a little dev, but we are still a big community. And i hope if the dev see that there are many people using GT-I9500, they will keep develop for our device. :good:
So who using GT-I9500, raise your hand and if you can, tell us which rom, which kernel you are using ? :laugh:

Really, we just still have 3 people using GT-I9500 ?

Stop spamming the development section because you want to prove to your friend's wet dream people are using this phone.

From what I read about it, development for that device is a pain in the butt.
If you want to use an S4, then get any of the Snapdragon variants of it.
