Tried to download CM 10.0 from dhackers developer thread and it says the file is not found. Anyone know where I can find the last build of CM 10.0.
The reason I want 10.0 is that the audio out of the car dock is broken in 4.2.2.
Thanks

There are links towards the end of the CM10 thread, with updated CM10 builds by MIC213. I'm not sure DHacker supports CM10 anymore. BTW, not all 4.2.2 ROMs break tethering.

Its not the tethering I am concerned about, its the lack of audio through car dock support. I just got too used to plunking my phone into the dock when I get in the car and leaving everything hooked up.

So which 4.2.2 ROMs do you know for sure have car dock audio (through USB) working? I have tried most of them and haven't found one yet.

What's not working:
--Audio Capture (voice commands, camcorder audio)
--Bluetooth Bluetooth actually works for connecting and data transfer..will not work for audio as I haven't gotten there yet.
--Chrome Beta not working yet
--YouTube not showing in market (and probably a few others (although you can download and sideload YouTube from the link below and it works, also webviewing YouTube works)

I personally wouldn't really want to use that unless at least the Chrome and audio issues were fixed (those are also the reasons I abandoned the AOKP ROM here).
I use the stock browser, and i can wait on Bluetooth a2dp, so yeah, if those are deal beakers, not a good rom, other than that, it's working flawlessly...

No ROM that is made from AOSP has these features that you "need" in them currently due to kernel source not being complete from Samsung.
Blame Samsung, not any development. Have fun on TouchWiz while the rest of us test drive the future of our tablets.
PS: No one is making you use these roms.
I didnt't mean to sound critical, only to mention some of the limitations that prevent me and people a lot like me from using it as a daily. No offense or criticism intended.
Can somebody link to cm9, and make a small guide on how to root and flash.

CM9 with stock kernel?
Would it be possible to make a CM9 rom with the stock kernel so that mic and other things work?
To answer a couple of questions, it's my understanding that it's against forum rules to link to an outside forum....afraid you'll have to google it.
Also, CM9 requires an AOSP kernel, so the stock kernel wouldn't be compatible.
Not the answers anyone wanted, but that's my take.

The sound not working wasnt because of the kernel source. I just hadnt gotten to it yet
Samsung released new kernel sources that work so the heavier fixing can begin. Last build had working mic as well as the sound. Still need to get bluetooth audio working but dont have a headset to test with :'( . Going to see if I can borrow one for a few days so I can get it working.

To get it working I saw online that you need to get into advance options. Where is advance options? I don't see it.

You dont need to set any options at all. Get an otg cable, and plug it in. Thats it and thats all.

Different otg cables are made for different devices. Some wont work with the n7. There are absolutely no options you need to set for a usb keyboard to work. None. It is completely automatic. I have used it with stock and many custom roms. No settings needed. None. I would bet that the otg that works with your rzr will not work with the n7.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using xda app-developers app
I dont know how many ways to say that there are no settings for that. Either it works, or it doesnt. There are NO options for it in settings. The ability to use a usb kb is built into the kernel. Are you running stock or custom? 4.1.x or 4.2.x? Which kernel?
Also, the pic you posted is from January. That means that the poster was stating settings from either gingerbread or honeycomb. Alot of those settings are not present, nor needed in jellybean. In short, those settings are not going to be found on an n7, since jellybean is the only android revision it can currently run.

Need USB port waking up app or shortcut.
Hi guys. I have a N7 and I bought http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Leath...es_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item484c513364 .
The keyboard is nice since it's also a case- the only issue that is bothereing me is that after tablet goes to sleep. so does the keayboard since it is powered by my tablet wia micro usb port. But that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that when I start using the table again I everytime have to unplug the case and plug it back in so that nexus activated the usb port again and starts povering the keayboard. What would make this case perfect would be some kind of app or just a shortcut to put on my homescrean that wouls simulate the unpluging/plugging back in...
This would realy make my nexus7 with the case perfect.
I downloaded a couple of script running apps but don't know anything of calling the USB port and waking it up... and haven't found any scripts to run and test.
Let me know if you know/find something about this...
Hello, I wanted to ask a question about why a mic works on Gingerbread ROMs but not on ICS or JB. I've tested a lot of ROMs and I've managed to make the Mic work once only in GB. I don't know much about how this works but I think its a driver problem or something because I installed a the Stock GB Sound Recorder on a JB ROM but now it wouldn't work. Could someone help if there's a way to make the Mic work on JB or at least ICS. I really don't like GB and would like to use this ability on a actual good OS such as JB 4.2.

+1 justice bump.
Badly want mic functionality on these versions as well...ideally Jellybean, but I figure progress is progress and ICS is better than nothing.

Was thinking the same thing. I saw hashcode say he was hoping to have it working in his next ROM update but that came out yesterday and no mention of it.

No, it hasn't been fixed yet, I have his latest update and still doesn't work. If there there's no help or installation of the Mic on the JB than I will find a way do so, but i prefer a actual developer who DOES know how to fix this problem because I am not very skilled at this sort of things.

One issue I know of is that you need the exact version of Google Voice Search to use some voice based features. That being said, in ICS and JellyBean much has changed in terms of Voice Search so that could be an issue. I think its a kernel issue with 3.x kernels, but lets wait till hashcode tries a fix

Yes, just make sure you have the Mic Update.zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770672 Page 3 by @sbradymobile . Use the Update.zip, just flash in recovery. Also Hashcode, I think, has it in the 3.4 Kernel.

I just had a new deck installed, here's the one I had installed, http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P8400BH
And when I plug my phone in to the USB, it says device unrecognized. Is that normal for Nexus devices? Is there any fix for it? And no bluetooth information is displayed, i see its something to do with something that LG or Samsung puts in their branded phones, so its absent from a Nexus, is there any rom with it in it?
Hey there. Same deck and same phone here. For the USB to phone, don't bother. Never got it to work myself. As far as information displaying while playing, many of the custom ROMs support this (CM10.1, AOKP, etc.), so you might want to give one of them a shot. I'm not sure this is something that can be added, or if it's something that that requires a whole ROM to implement.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium HD app
The nexus 4 doesn't use UMS for mounting. It uses MTP. Unfortunately it won't be compatible with your deck or any other device for that matter.
There aren't any ROMs that will change that either.

Haha, gotta love a cheap solution. Esp as he's just bought a new receiver.
Don't bother with cm right now. Apparently because of the new Bluetooth stack Google used in 4.21 they had to pull out AVRCP v1.3 (the Bluetooth control protocol that allows for song meta data to be sent to the headset) out of cm10.1 and revert back to v1.0 that only allows control...No metadata.
Stock Android only has AVRCP v1.0 so that's why it doesn't work on any stock Nexus device.
...but my wife's GS3 has AVRCP v1.3...boo.

Thats why i went back to 4.1.2 and asking if it works on 4.4 because they changed something with bluetooth that broke the ability to connect to wii remotes in 4.2 i believe.

Why is this such a task? To either fix or to develop for? It was almost two years ago that I was using a wiimote with the same phone I have now, the only difference is the software, the hardware is perfectly capable... So disappointing.
You have to be rooted I believe or you get no route to host even on 4.1 so i'd like a rooted KitKat use to try for giggles again with the wiimote app. from all the research I pull it's not fixed. something about the stack missing the ability to accept pairless devices. It's killing me too I built custom wiimote controllers for android and only way to use them on 4.3 is a annoying CSR dongle with OTG.

I haven't been able to get it to work on my SGS3 running CM11. However, I heard rumors of this app (Uh, can't post links. Search the play store for "USB/BT Joystick Center GOLD") working. I'm going to try the demo version of it when I get home this evening.
The "USB/BT Joystick Center Gold" has a free version that you can install to test and see if the paid version will work on your device as-is, or if you will need to order an external dongle to connect to your device. For us NOOK HD/HD+ folks on CM10.1 and higher, we might as well abandon the WiiMotes... for now.
