OverClocking and Custom ROm

Hi All,
I've just buy an Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P5110. And I head that we can improve the CPU by overclocking it to 1,4 Ghz .
Can you tell me what the risk of this operation? Cause the CPU will heat too much and maybe died more quickly? What do you think?
My second question is too know how can I do that? Cause I've seen that I need to root my tablet? first and after that? It's possible with my model?
When I use my tablet I found it a little too slow . Can I improve this with a custom rom and a overclocking?

Custom ROM's and Kernels will increase your performance but of course they will also void your warranty.
You can root and install a custom kernel which will allow you to overclock your device.
The main risk is the CPU overheating and causing your device to become unstable, if that happens you just need to lower your OC as your device can not handle it. You will be lowering your CPU's lifetime but it should still last a year or two (Most likely more) it just won't last as long as it could have.

Thanks for this, but I've look how to install a Custom rom but I don't find any good rom for the version 2 of the Galaxy Tab 2 . There is one availaible?

ive read of people using some of the roms on the 5110 with no problems, read through and see what you can find. 5113 and 5110 are regional and the 5110 doesnt have the IR so id imagine they would work but just check through there.

Hello Again Just one last question.
When you say that if I overclock the device , I lost my warranty , there is no way of go back to the original Rom before send it to warranty if any problems occur?

depends, if your overclock damages it, you wont be able to boot up to change anything

Best Custom Rom S4

Hi Guys ,
I am thinking of rooting my S4 , can please suggest a fast and kitkat custom ROM for this. I dont want stock ROM , but Touchwiz experience .

This is the wrong place to do that, if you have a problem or a question go to question and answer section. Also you cannot ask that every roms are different between each other, you can try every rom and choose the better one for you according to your needs.

Above post says it all. There is no "Best" ROM as what works best for one user may not work best for another due to differences in device usage.

[Q] Note 3 Rom Questions

Hello - ive been an avid reader of the forum and wanted to say thanks to all the devs for there hard work.
Just a few questions to help me understand a little more about this. I have been using roms for a little bit now and i am wondering if there are any stable roms. I have problems such as not being able to play videos on YT or FB unless i do a reboot, GPS works on and off but aside from that all else is good. Are these normal issues or is there a ROM someone can recommend for me?
My Phone:
Model Number: SM-N900W8
Baseband Version: N900W8VLUBMJ4
Kernal Version: 3.4.103-TEMASEK-CM11 - HLTE-V3.95-EXP4+
I use to youse CM11 KitKat official but had lots of problems with phone shutting off, resetting, freezing, etc.
Any help would be great folks

Maybe it is the problem of your kernel settings ie. undervolting and frequency. I personally use Temasek CM11 but I find RCELITE S5 rom good too

I am assuming ART is an app used instead of the stock s pen program? I looked up ART on Google Play and was not able to locate it...does it have a full name?
You feel like giving me a little crash course on all this stuff we have been talking about as i dont think i know all the pieces of the puzzle.

[KERNEL]Perseus Kernel Discussion

So guys, after read some posts and open a question, i found one of best kernel ever made for exynos devices, Perseus Kernel, dev it self said he dont open more topics here in xda, maybe is because some noob users.
i found in he github and have a download link
This made only for discussion, a'm not a dev, so report bugs ask helps i cannot help much.
Kernel is based already in 5.1.1 sources so only in works in 5.1.1 roms.
Please dont contact dev, he probaly dont responde, so this is only discussion and if someone find functions please post and i update when i have time.
for now i see kernel have this features
Clock controls
Voltage controls (Clusters, Memory buses, Internal, GPU)
Smoother GPU throttling
Synapse
For S6 G920F Android 5.1.1 ROMs
Auto-root included, install SuperSU from Play store
for install need use odin

Is for f variant, maybe works in other variats too
Use Synapse for config kernel.
and dont ask features or governors, like i said i dont a dev
every custom kernel have a risks and will count in knox
Edit:Works fine in I brasilian variant, but only after a factory reset, if you in custom kernel will need a factory reset

For me all fine, have color control too. Kernel only work in adaptive display

Doesn't work on g920t for anyone who was wondering 8( loose data, and apn settings dissappear.

Wow! Crash ROM for the S6. That would be great!!!!! I was a huge fan of your ROM on the G3. There was nothing better. Would be very happy. Have a good time

For those who are curious, it doesn't work with the g920i, the screen colors are whacked out.. I knoe it's for the g920f, i figured I'd give it a try, many kernels for the f work with the I. Love his work, figured I'd try it.

Works fine in i variant, mine is i too. Only need set screen mode to auto, and donwload synapse for calibrate colors.

When you say calibrate the screen and set it to auto. I don't see any options to set it auto or calibrate it. Must I do it manually?

Can anyone recommend me any costum rom? Figured I wanted to finally root and costum rom my phone!

Renovate ICE ROM is still being updated, and it's fast/stable. I advice you to check it out for yourself.

Its hard to say what will work for you as we all use our devices differently....What works for you may not for me kinda thing trial and error
