Hi all,
I'm thinking to buy an hifi amplifier (Denon M38) and I read that in that amplifier there is an USB port in order to connect the iPhone or iPod and the amplifier is able to browse and manage the iPhone library directly from its remote and disply.
Is there an app in order to connect our Andorid device via USB and simulate that there is an iPhone instead of an Android phone?
It will be usefull to connect the Android device on all the amplifiers tht support the iPhone....
Couldnt you just use a thumbdrive or set your phone in usb mode and browse them?

No notification pops up, my phone just doesnt seem to recognize the cable. Any reason? I was told the xoom camera kit cable would work for otg usb.

nobody? okay...coool
You'll need external power to power it

its a pendrive, which should work unplugged. It just doesnt seem to even recognize that its there. Do you think the cable is defective?
In the usb otg tutorial video in the accessories section it shows that plugging in the cable without anything attached to it should trigger a notification. If it doesn't, it's probably the cable

okay, I guess the motorola xoom cable does not work for some stupid reason. Or its defective...well ****.
I guess, it's missing a resistor to trigger OTG mode.

in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092493&highlight=usb+otg+resistor) you'll find detailed instructions on what makes one cable work and another one fail. apparently, you'd have to open the micro usb plug and connect pin 4 and 5. the connection between pin 4 and 5 determine, what kind of connection it is: charging, sync, usb otg, mhl, trigger download mode... and indeed, that is done by putting in different resistor strengths.
I got one of these, only £2.50 shipped and works perfectly, its great fun plugging in a mouse!
All my music is on my phone. I don't have an aux cable to plug into my car. I have a USB port in my car but when I plug it up, it doesn't read my SD. Anyone know of any apps that they have tried that have worked?

This might be more of a general android question but I just came from an iPhone 5. My car stereo has a USB port and when I plugged in the lightning cable, my spotify would output audio to the stereo. This is NOT mounting a storage drive and having the stereo read it, to clarify.
Is there a way I can do that on android? My car also has aux which I've been using in the meantime but I like controlling the music with the stereo's remote.

Hopeful bump.

From experience I have with Android phones, no. Most car stereos do not have the proper drivers to read the Android phone and be able to output music. For example, in my Chrysler 300, the screen would say "USB Device Not Recognized" but it would still charge the phone, albeit very slowly. Bluetooth is your best option if your stereo comes equipped with it.
hello everyone, i am a student. i tried to use the nexus 7, connected it with a bluetooth board to remote control an IC. the problem are:
1. the sense port in the otg cable makes my nexus become a Host when connected to the bluetooth device. therefore, it cant be charged although i have pluged in a 5V.
2. when connected, the nexus 7 gets screen problem about touching sense.
