Mobile Odin has two modem file holders (1 and #2). WiFi was not working on MF8 so I flashed the modem in both slots. Since then my phone hangs then reboots whenever I make a call. I reflashed a stock firmware, did factory resets and flashed various modems with no luck.
Mobile Odin puts a modem file in #2. In guessing I have a modem file in modem 1 (only guessing) that's making the phone malfunction. How do I get rid of this and fix my phone?
Thanks for any help.

Guys i flashed UAE stock MEA firmware on my I9500 after that i cant connect using mobile data. My phones region was AFG though i am not from Afghanistan.
What should i do to fix it?
I rebooted the phone now it is stuck at the Samsung logo help
-Verify your download rom is not corrupt
- if you are rooted try to wipe your phone before flashing.
- reflash rom.
- for mobile data, check your apn settings to make sure it is correct for your carrier
Hopefully this helps.

My S4 from US Cellular is not calling or using data, when I try calling it says "to make a collect call to a..." . It happened after I flashed a CM10.2 Milestone from a OTA download and I used TWRP to flash. Odin won't f;ash either of the two modem files I tried (and I am not even sure if those were correct modem files for this model) and Odin Mobile did one but it still doesn't help. Any ideas?
Okay, I just flashed the stock ROM and now data works but it still makes me do a collect call?!
Hi all,
I have recently flashed my phone with Phoenix rom v9.0 upgrading from an older version omega rom. The installer went through without an issue but when it boots up it won't connect to the mobile network(vodafone australia). If I go to settings>more networks>Mobile networks>Network operators it searches and connects to vodafone and will work until the screen turns of then it disconnects.
In the install instructions it says if you lose connection when screen is off flash with latest kitkat modem. I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
And flashed via Odin modem XXUGNF1. And still get the same issue. Please help!!
It's usually because you are on the old bootloader and are using a incorrect modem. If you are on the old bootloader you need a specific modem to work with Android 4.4.2. Im not sure which one though. You have to search for it.
Thanks will search for correct modem... If no such luck would just flashing the new bootloader fix this issue. Is losing the ability to downgrade the only dissadvantage to doing so?
I have flashed heaps of modems and still keeps cutting out on screen off. I have also tried to find a csc file for my country and carrier and no luck. Thinking of just jumping in and flashing the newest bootloader and modem to see if that fixes the problem. Is voiding the warranty the only issue with knox or will it stop me from flashing new custom Roms down the track?
Hi Guys,
I am on a custom rom XXUGNG8 Base.
I wanted to try the matching modem so with odin I flashed the modem.bin (since I am on the old bootloader) and I have lost my 3G/LTE connection completely. It just won't connect. I've flash modems like this a lot of times and never had this issue. I tried flashing the old modem back, a full wipe and a clean install but I still don't have a connection.
It somehow feels like the modem isn't working at all. GPS still works.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Possibly try changing your CSC.. There's an app from Google Play called CSC select. You might have the right modem and wifi fix. Disclaimer: changing csc will remove all of your data so do a backup before doing it.

So after deciding to get CM11 last night, and a long, arduous process of getting it installed, my phone now has no service. Upon booting, I have about 10 seconds tops of reception until it just vanishes. I have flashed back to stock ROM and flashed to the modem it was on before twice. Still nothing. Is there hope?
There is always hope.
What rom and modem are you using now? Did you perform a full wipe in the recovery?

Currently using stock. Modem is I9505XXUGNH7. And yes, I did wipe
Reflashed both the stock rom and then the modem again... still nothing. I'm on 4.4.2
EDIT: After manually selecting carrier I actually get reception, but it says network unavailable. My IMEI is unchanged. Baseband is the same as it was before when it was fine. Any ideas?
Would be a good idea to download latest stock Firmware from sammobile and flash via odin, report back with results

I already did.
EDIT: After calling my service provider, they say everything's ok with my SIM. I can access mobile data on 4g and everything, APNs are fine. Just says I'm not registered on network. Already flashed again to a more recent modem. Still the same.
