[Q]Manually add NFC - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a LG Optimus L5 e612 phone. Since the phone don't have NFC built, I compared it to the e610 phone which have. They are the same.
So, my question is, can I manually somehow add the NFC to the phone?
The NFC is on the back cover and it's powering on the phone. I know it's kinda crazy, but I want to experiment with it
Thanks!

[i9505] Help needed

Hi XDA,
I've been playing around with my phone, all was fine until I downloaded SGS4Flasher from the play store and flashed something onto my phone. Since then, It's been mayhem to get back right again.
I installed a new PIT file, this seemed to fix the problem I had. I then installed OTA updates, which has changed my device Baseband version to i9505xxuemj7 from i9505xxubmga.
I used to be running android 4.2.2, but from simply installing Cyanogenmod through recovery, my phone could run Android 4.3.
Now my phone is running as normal again - Except every so often it'll crash and then get stuck in the bootloop, so I have to remove my battery and give it a few minutes before re-inserting and powering on my device for it to work properly. This means I cannot play games, tether my internet for too long etc. It's rather frustrating having such a nice phone yet not being able to use it.
Due to being new at this, I've kinda put up with the problem for a little while now - But its getting ridiculous now.
Can someone help me, I'm not good with all the terms of PDA, CSC etc - I'd like to be explain to taught what to do in plain black and white please, I know this can be daunting and frustrating, but so is this problem of mine that I've caused.
If you need any more information than what I have provided please just ask.
I'm from the UK and I'm using a pay monthly sim from Vodafone.
I am using the i9505 device with qualcomm processor - Jfltexx
If anything, I don't care about android 4.2.2 or android 4.3, they both seemed decent enough to me, but ROM wise, I absolutely loved Cyanogenmod. But anything that'll make my phone work without crashing, please help.
Do I need to find a new Kernel? PIT? I'm not sure what to call it? CSC? PDA?
All I'm used to is booting my phone into recovery mode, choosing install, and then choosing Cyanogenmod from my SD_CARD.
I've used ODIN before to do something with files, following tutorials from the internet - I think this was ROOTING Clockword Recovery Mod, or TeamWIN RP or something? I believe these are the files that make the RECOVERY mode on my phone that allows me to install Cyanogenmod through my SD Card.
Please simplify this as much as possible for me, even if it comes across as insulting ... an A B C guide would be appreciated highly.
Thanks,
So you do have this issues with Cyanogenmod and with the stock rom? I've had similair issues when my battery was malfunctioning. Can you check with a different battery?

The phone is virtually brand new - I'll get another battery yes, but It wont be the exact same one that comes with the device - It'll probably be a cheap Chinese make from Ebay for about £5.
The battery has been acting strange, and I'm not sure if its just me or not, but the battery feels sorta swelled as opposed to being completely flat.
I'd have thought It'd be an issue with the software/firmware seeing as that was what I had been messing around with.
I never had the problem with cyanogenmod, but cyanogenmod was before I started playing with things I shouldn't have.
Yes, its a common problem with the S4 that the battery becomes damaged. I think that if you replace your battery your phone will be working again. Because a swollen battery is a damaged one.
You could also claim warranty for your battery. Samsung already stated that some S4 were shipped with faulty baterys and that they will replace them for free.

Even though I've now voided my knox warranty?
Yes even then. I think you will only have to send the battery in to Samsung
And besides, I see you live in the UK. Under European Law the shop has to replace the battery for you and rooting etc does never void your rights.

[Q] Display stopped working, need RMA but not sure if rooted

Hey guys.
I've got a pretty stupid question/problem
The Display of my Nexus 4 currently stopped working (Touchscreen is still working, can take photos lol). Didn't drop the phone, i was reading a message when it suddenly turned black.. Now i want to send it back to LG (It's barely an year old...)
Problem: Im not sure if i've rooted my Nexus 4. And when it's rooted, they will send me back my device unrepaired because it broke caused by the root, right?
Is it possible to lock the bootloader and unroot the phone "blind"?
Or is there a way to find out if it's rooted?
Or even better: a way to clone the display to the pc?
Thanks for your answers!

LG G2 D801 shows up as LGD500BK in LG Mobile Support Tool!

This is a bit crazy. I dropped my LG G2 TMO D801BK and bought a replacement. Now, when I connect to LG Mobile Support tool the old phone shows as an LGD801BK but the newer one shows up as a LGD500BK.
The new phone came stock with 4.2.2 and then a series of upgrades from TMO appeared. It gets as far as D80130a and when D80130b shows up it fails in the update, reboots, and Google Play Services keep halting and almost all the other apps don't work.
My old LG G2 is now sitting at D80130c and works fine except for the cracked screen.
Is there anyway to just copy everything off the old phone onto the new one ROM and all or fix the newer phone to identify properly? I've noticed that the new phone IMEI in the rom is different from the one inside the case... any thoughts?
Really appreciate any assistance.
Update: Strange IMEI info ...
Opened the back of the G2 and the printed IMEI doesn't match what the phone reports. Interestingly enough when I do a check the one inside the back cover comes back as a LG G2 and clean but the one that the phone reports comes back as a "prototype" from LG and not a G2 at all... I'm wondering if someone used a prototype IMEI when "refurbishing" this phone to get around a blacklist.
Thoughts?

Any ideas guys?
Best thing to do here is for you to take it back and MAKE THEM change your phone under warranty.
How the hell did they fix your phone if it's still bootlooping?
They must be the worst technicians in the world...
I hope it's not the infamous LG dead motherboard
Im really disappointed, and i cant don any thing
They said we can open your phone but. I dont trust them

MTP not working & slow charge issue after changing a flex

Hello guys,
I have a LG D802 unlocked and noticed that it wont transmit a voice during the calls or record anymore, so official LG service changed my flex and voice issue has solved but!
I recognized following things afterwards;
-original usb cable recognized as usb charging, 200-300 mA while using original cable and charger. (8 hours took to full change )
-any windows or linux system can not recognize my beloved g2 anymore, even in com ports.. I tired everything in software base..
-interestingly I can enter download mode while my g2 connected to AC charger, so it is strange.
What do you think guys, LG service member thinks there might be issue in processor but it is ridiculous
Tell me your opinions please ?
(I have the "replaced flex" but I havent tried to replace with new one)
Looks like they have damaged your motherboard. I've tried replacing the Flex on my LG G2 twice, and this problem wasn't solved. Slow charging+Can't connect to any pc. My phone is stuck on jellybean forever as there's no way I can root and install TWRP without access to a laptop. Good luck.
I brought my G2 D802 in the exact same state by replacing the battery myself. I think I broke something while trying to remove the old one, wrapped in those flex bands. Looks like that cable is easily damageable by design.
Not everything is lost in my case, as I had TWRP installed prior to this mishap, but the slow charge is a real pain.
Sorry I can't really help with an advice. This phone will die as it is, not worth paying for a repair.
