Whenever I go into Dual Shot on the camera, the camera freezes up and I can't see anything on it. It doesn't force close or anything like that, but it freezes and when I take a picture on both sides it has a bunch of lines going through the picture. Anyone else experiencing this?
See post #3.
Nevermind if a mod could delete this that'd be great! I must of had a setting on/off that wasn't supposed to be cause now it works flawlessly!!

OK this is weird... Dual Shot seems to not work in my house but outside it works. When in my house it freezes and stutters and I can't even see what I'm taking a picture of.. but anywhere else it works lol. Anyone seeing the dual shot feature acting weird or is this a defect??

Does the front camera look a little weird to yall like its kinda not aligned right inside the phone
yeah, i was going to say the same thing.
anyone know of a way to take a test pic with the front cam?
thanks
I downloaded fring and tested out video calling, works great on mine. Though I was having a separate problem with fring where it would vibrate/make this horrible noise like it was trying to ring but sounded like my Evo was dying from the inside out. Too scared start fring again.

Isn't camera source an option in the camera app? Switch that way and take a pic?

I saw a "mirror" app in the Market that just shows what the front cam is showing.

My evo is from goggle I\O and the camera is in the center of the camera hole. I cant find any manufacturing issues on my evo.

Yeah. You go into camera mode and there's a pulldown you can access (it's always on the side of the phone with the sprint logo). From within there you'll find a settings tab (along with a bunch of others) and it will let you switch camera source.
You can also turn off the annoying shutter sound from within there too.
My newly purchased wifi xoom.
Is it just my problem in hareware or there is some software update about it?
Basically everytime I switch to front facing camera, it freezes and black screen it shows.
Back camera is working fine, both video and picture.
Front is not, neither video nor picture.
Stock camera app.
If yours had similar issue and fixed it in some adb update on lib or other files. Please point me the way~
Mines working fine on the wifi version. Both the camera and videochat using gtalk. Hmmm... sounds like a hardware issue? Did it ever work?

^^ How good is the quality of your front facing camera

Obviously it's not as good as the back camera but it's OK for video chats. What do you consider bad or good?

I'm not.comparing it to the back just wondering if everyone's is a bit fuzzy
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Yeah mine is alittle fuzzy too but maybe it's because of the pixels. It's the same on my gtab too with the front camera.

you need really good light for the front facing cam, it's only adequate in decent or low light.
thanks for info
I exchanged one. Previous one was hardware issue, even best buy geek square has to admit

Most likely the hardware issue. Front facing camera broken = nothing showing up. This should have never been a software issue. If it was a software issue, everybody would have noticed it by now. Thus, assuming your xoom is stock, theres nothing you can do to accessing the library without root.

I received my s3 this morning, everything was going well until 20 minutes ago when the camera decided to compeltly freak out. It seems to be constantly trying to focus at an extremely high speed. Check the video out for reference.

I would say dirt in the camera lens
It's strange because the issue goes away when I reset camera settings, but then comes back after I switch to front camera and back again.

Nothing to report I'm afraid, it seems to work fine switching between front and rear cameras
The original issue seems to have subsided, but now I can't focus on anything...looking like I may need to get a replacement

It's a hardware issue. That clicking sound means that something's obstructing the camera lens. It possible that every time you reset, the lens shifts back to it's original position and that's why the issue subsides for some time.
Anyway... that's what warranty is for!
Hello everyone.
I have notice a problem with my nexus 4.
It's like it's a dent under the screen that's only visible when light is reflected on it. And it's only visible from the side.
I'm really confused because its not really affecting the screen when it's on and dosent seem to cause any problems.
I've found a video on YouTube were a guy filmed how nexus to show how it looks.
He has he's phone up side down sp you have to look at the top off his screen on the video. It's most visible at the end of the video.
Can you guys please look at the video and after at your phones and look if you have the same problem.

Even if you don't see it, please write and let me know.
Replacement
I don't see the problem, but I'd definitely call Google and explain what's going on. I bet they will send you a replacement.

Okay. But I live in Sweden so I can't really call Google. But I will try to go to the store where I bought the phone to get a new phone.
But the thing is that I do think that many people have this but haven't noticed it. I mean, it's really hard to see. But now that I know it's there. I see it all the time when the screen is off and when the light hits the screen.

I don't know. I guess it bothers me that the screen is dented.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I have this too, top left corner, you can only see it when the light hits it at a certain angle. The thing is the screen is unaffected by it so i'm tempted just to ignore it as the rest of the phone is perfect :good:
Okay. It seems like I'm not alone at least. You haven't noticed any trouble with the phone?
So I've had this phone about 4 months in midnight black and this week I noticed a few times upon opening the camera that it won't Focus at all. Everything is extremely blurry but then if I tap the phone off my leg or something then point the camera back at the same thing it's perfect again. It continues to work perfectly until I close the camera and come back to it a while later where the problem just occurs again.
Has anyone else had this problem before?
It's a midnight black S8 SM-G950F
Yes, it's a common thing. If you actually search for it, you might find quite a bunch of posts about it. Camera gets stuck and the only "solution" is to shake it a bit. I also noticed that it happens less frequent if you give the camera a few days rest.
Yeah, got my phone less than a week ago and the first time tried the camera out it did this.. I'm so surprised that it's not a bigger thing on the net and some sort of #camerastuckgate issue.
Shook the thing are there it worked.. Yesterday it did the same thing again.
Yes it is an issue. Only solution right now is to shake the phone.
