[Q] How much does the Samsung Galaxy S4 cost? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How much does the Samsung Galaxy S4 cost? ... had enough with my iphone5 its about time now!

How long is a piece of string? It depends what country you're buying it in, what model you want, and whether you want it sim free or with a contract.
Here in the UK it costs around £450 sim free or for free on a £30-£35 a month 24 month contract.

How much would you buy the Galaxy Tab now?

Since the wi-fi version will come out on April 4 and the fact that the SGT has been out since November, how much do you think is a good price for a used SGT?
I have looked on Craigslist and the average price for the T-mobile version is $400.
There seems to not be a lot of AT&T version.
I do not want the Sprint or Verizon version.
Do you think a used SGT for $400 at this time is a good deal or should it be less?
I have the Xoom currently but I want to buy the SGT for my wife. It is small enough to put it in her purse.
Another question for you guys:
1. Would you buy the brand new AT&T SGT with its current price or a used $400 (with no tax) on a T-mobile SGT ?
Thanks.
I paid $499 for my VZW Tab and it was worth every penny. If you are buying it for what it does out of the box you won't be disappointed. If your like every other idiot I've met and you buy Android devices for what some developer MAY develop EVENTUALLY or not at all, you will be disappointed.
I also think $400 is a little high atm for a used Tab.
$300.00CDN. No more.
My threshold was sub $300. When it hit $299 at Costco for the VZW tab without a contract, I jumped on it. Development and BT capabilities are behind their GSM brethen, but it was worth the significant savings to me and it runs well for me overclocked to 1.4ghz.
I just paid 300 usd for my sprint one and love it. I dont like any other carriers data plans.

Outright price?

Is it going to be around $650 outright? I have a Nexus 4 which is on its way but might switch to the S4 if it's around $400
I doubt the SIV will be 400$
but hopefully less than 700 since that's my parents current budget lol
(or else I'll have to buy it when the price drops)
it's most likely going to be at the 650-700 range for outright,
maybe like 299 on contract.
I think everyone and their mother would buy one outright if it was $400. I'd be first in line. I would guess at least $700
Even the nexus 4 costs more than 400 outside the play store lol.
EDIT:
First lot of 2 GT-I9500 for US $1375:

Second lot of 2 GT-I9500 for US $1225:

Buy it now sells 1 @ US $830-840 (16 - 64 GB) w/ free shipping.
Buy it now guy also selling 20 64 GB for $10,000 and many other deals.
Here's a new one buy it now from the UK, a 64 GB for US $752 or GBP 500: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...ntageCostumeJewellery_CA&hash=item4d0a0e7d18c Note the picture though and the description says "Main Stone: Rhinestone", LOL.
I was sure any early ones would be at least $1k, but guess I was wrong. Maybe more in the $600-$800 range ?
The auctions were UK and buy it now is US. I've heard GT-I9500 (these) were selling in China already.
Is the GS4 already a relative flop, compared to expectations ? More of an incremental upgrade from the S3 ? S3 will get many software features. Is no LTE an issue on International version ?
BTW, I've bought about 20 phones in the last few years, for app testing, and most were from EBay. China or Hong Kong are usually well priced sources for most phones these days. I usually buy from a vendor that has better ratings 99+% and charges $10 more though.
WTF
where do you guys live expecting the GS4 to be 600 dollars outright?
Here in Australia, the GS3 was close to 800 outright, so I assume the GS4 will be around that same price...
Ayee, then again Australia always gets the short end of the stick,,
It'll be like $300/$350 with a contract and $600/$650 without most likely.
My guess.

That's too cheap. The s3 was around 650 euros when it came out so that's about +750. If that's the price it's gonna sell very well

Galaxy S5 or S4? Help me choose

I am on AT&T and planning to upgrade from an old Galaxy S2.
The galaxy s4 costs about 19 per month on the AT&T Next 24 month plan, while the S5 runs 27 per month. In short, the S5 is about $190 more (over 24 months). Is the higher price of the S5 worth it?
Not a gamer and good camera is important. We have a new born so we do take quite a bit of pictures. Although I don't know if S5's camera is noticeably better.

The camera alone(I have a newborn too) should answer your question. S4 has 8 megapixels, S5 has 16. Huge difference, IMHO. Congrats by the way. I had the S3 and jumped right to the S5 because the S4 is alot like the S3. I'd go with the S5, faster processor, bigger screen, much better camera. And congrats

s4 has 13, s4 active has 8.
Thanks. I don't think I want to pay $27 * 24 months + tax = ~695 bucks. I can buy the same for about 150 less new elsewhere. Did you go with the AT&T next/2yr or buy it outright?

Indeed camera on s5 is better so is the battery life.

Galaxy S5 Retail Price?

Hi. The lowest I can find an AT&T s5 is $559 retail, which I think is a recent price drop after s6 was announced. It is now about $100 lower than original retail. Since I think the s6 will be $699 can I expect much lower retail in next 4 months? Will be paying cash up front--no contract or NEXT plans.
It is my understanding that ideally I want the unlocked T-Mobile version so I can use on AT&T or to get and unlock. Any suggestions on how to get this? I loved the freedom I had with unlocked boot loader and rooted Nexus.
Thank you

Sprint
Sprint has confirmed that it will offer both devices through its leasing program. The Galaxy S6 with 32GB of storage can be had for $80 a month, which covers both the service and device cost. The Galaxy S6 Edge will cost $85 a month. Sprint customers can upgrade to the 64GB model for $5 extra a month, or $10 more for the 128GB model. Sprint's Boost Mobile prepaid arm is offering the Galaxy S6 starting at $650 without a contract. The carrier didn't announce pricing for devices purchased on a two-year contract or at full retail.
Why AT&T gets away charging $85 more than Verizon baffles me. But hey at least higher storage capacities are available and it's not just 32gb. Why we can't have the emerald green and blue variants I'll never understand.
Oy... I wasn't in pain until I saw the full $$$ amount of the 128 Edge in writing.
Oh well... better make a stiff drink and go ahead and get this out of the way -_-
anybody else mad we only get 3 colors?
and on top of that verizon is only doing black and white.
why can't samsung just sell devices on their website, this **** is annoying.
Looks like AT&T'S pre-orders are live. Not sure how long but I just went to att.com and noticed

I'm mad and simultaneously happy.
I was getting nowhere on deciding between the Emerald S6 Edge and the Black Sapphire, but seeing as the Emerald one isn't even a choice, it made the decision easier lol.
Of course, I might end up buying the Emerald one and selling the Black Sapphire depending... but for now, I'm good.
I'm also a little salty that AT&T didn't bother throwing in a wireless charging pad with pre-orders or something. Considering the price of the phone (and the fact that Best Buy is offering the the pad for pre-orders) they really could have thrown people a bone. Especially since it appears they decided to put their damn branding on the back of the device -_-
I did some digging and found the sprint prices for 2 year agreement by logging into my account and going to shop for phones.
32 gb $199.99
64 gb 349.99
128 gb 449.99
That's a little steep imo for the 64 gb one. I don't know about you guys.

Exactly so annoying...every other manufacturer does that. It's like Samsung is fully bent over back to carriers.

According to Sprint's website, the prices are actually
$199/$299/$399
$299/$399
for the standard and edge respectively. Looks like the 128GB Edge might not be happening though?
I thought we were finally at a point last year when storage bumps were $50 instead of $100.

Does anyone why AT&T charges more it's not their phones are any different

Because they can. No other reason. They do it to raise the cost of the monthly installment payments.

That's odd. Maybe the upgrade prices are different from purchase prices. I double checked and it still shows what I posted.
