Hi, im facing a wifi issue on CM10 (i flashed from v10k). 3g seems to work fine, but everytime i try to connect with wifi - it just goes "enabling wifi", and nothing happens - then wifi ON/OFF switch goes to gray.
Anyone with the same issue or know how to solve it perhaps?
Cheers!
I notice i have same error but my rom is cyanmod last version!i have installed first, v10k with bootloader unlocked an rooted and then from cwm recovery i have reset default settings .Now i can't open wifi, only a grey buton.

I found the solution for this issue:you moust reinstal in cmw recovery baseband v10k.

are you downgraded from V20 to CM10?
maybe you should flash the baseband
I've instaled v20d when apperead, but i use this stock rom about 1-2 days. After this terrible experience i've instaled cyanmod and v10k baseband. My problem with wifi started when i've instaled v10k(Homero zip version), then cyanmod.

CM10 Wifi / 3G
Hi all,
I just flashed CM 10 to my p700 and now my wifi and 3g aren't working at all.
I tried to setup my APN several times but these settings can't be saved for some reason.
When pressing the WIFI icon it shows that it is turned on but it isnt receiving or transmitting (I can't see it in my home network.)
Next step is going back to V20D_00_m

If you instaled cyanmod, you can enter in recovery.Steps are:
1.Turn off the phone
2.Keep push Home +VUPVOLDOWN(center) +Power
Phone will vibrate an CWR appears.
I tried this key combination but it didn't work.
Just flashed to V20D_00_m by KDZ
Now it doesn't get past the lg boot screen i'll fix this first.
In the end I want to run CM10 on this device.

I tried uploading Froyo to my mytouch 3g. I rooted the phone using the one click method and backed up and flashed the new rom. Upon reboot, the rom wouldn't start up so I recovered and restored all previous settings. I found a new rom and went into recovery but i see the dreaded white triangle, but if I turn it on normal it starts up into the original rom fine and is still rooted. How do I get my recovery back? I am also running ROM manager.
Just reflash the recovery from ROM Manager.

Seems to me like his phone keeps reinstalling the stock recovery upon reboot or rom manager isn't flashing properly, and probably needs to do it manually with "flash_image". . .
( I posted a way to fix the flashing recovery issue before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428838 )
First of all, u didnt described ur problem clearly. then, i think your recovery mode is ok, the thing is you couldn't go through that. did you tried to go to the recovery by holding home+power down key together? then the picture of a phone and a triangle with (!) mark comes up, release the keys and then press them together, hope you will solve ur problem through that.and for making ur phone faster, try bananabread 3.1 , right now i am using that. good luck
Hey, I could really use some guidance here. I'll present the information as simply as I can:
I bought a Galaxy s4 AT&T a few days ago. I've been interested in rooting and flashing different roms, but I think I may have done a bit too much.
I rooted using the motochopper method - great, worked like a charm.
I made a backup of my original rom using CWM. I even took that backup and saved a copy of it on my Mac - perfect.
I thought I'd try Cyanogenmod 10.1, so I downloaded the latest nightly build and flashed it using CWM - so far so good.
Everything was working fine, but my LTE (or any data) was not working at all. I could use Wifi, but once I turned wifi off, I had no data, no gps, no 3g, no 4g, no LTE. I tried the *#*#4636*#*# method, the LTEOnOff app, and changing my APN based on the recommendations provided in this thread - I just couldn't get it to work.
I thought I'd try restoring my original backup, but when I went into CWM to do so, it said that my backup could not be found...(I still have a backup on my computer, just in case)
I needed my phone to work, and badly needed LTE to do so. So, I downloaded this rom: [ROM] CleanROM 1.0 -★| Clean and Smooth! | The Way Nature Intended! |★-
So far, this rom was working fine - it's just a debloated version of TouchWiz - which I like. But, here's my problem now - If my phone reboots, it stays frozen on the Samsung logo (with unlocked lock logo underneath), and I can't get past it. I'd have to go BACK into recovery, and flash the CleanROM all over again, and set my phone up as new with all data wiped.
I really need my phone to work again, and I don't know where to go from here. What options do I have left? What can I do to get out of that frozen Samsung loading screen? Can't I just reset my phone to the way it was? Can't the CM10.1 rom work with LTE?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Your best option is to flash the stock MDB firmware via odin . After you get the PASS on Odin go ahead and manually boot into stock recovery and wipe data factory reset again then reboot. You will have to re root and reinstall recovery but this will take care of any issues you had from a bad flash.

Having the same issue so I figured I'd give these steps a shot. Followed them exactly and phone (AT&T S4, TWRP) would won't even reboot the first time into CleanROM. I'm stuck on the Samsung screen with the lock.
edit: I've noticed that now, when I reboot into TWRP, it prompts me for a password. Hitting cancel takes me to the regular home screen, but I had not been getting the password prompt before attempting to install CleanROM. A permissions issue, perhaps?
edit 2:
I've just spent some time trying a bunch of things with bits of good luck surrounded with tons of bad. Below are the steps I've taken to try to get CleanROM to boot (and reboot) without any issues. Hopefully they help figure out the issues we're having.

Wipe /system
Flash CleanROM

I can't speak for OP, but I was hoping there was another way to rectify what has already been done without flashing stock seeing as how I'm on OSX. If that's the only option, then so be it.
Hey. Thanks for the feedback in this thread. I flashed factory through Odin, and everything is working fine. I then factory reset my phone through factory recovery. I'm back to standard touchwiz with all the bloat lol.
I'm going to wait until there a more stable release of cm10.1 - that was a good rom.

As I mentioned before starting over is always the Best and Safe way to go. Shortcuts will only cause you headaches and possibly get you a brick that is why you see Odin stock threads. Do yourself a favor and start over I know it sucks but when your modifying your phones its gonna happen once in awhile.

this reverts you completely back to stock. You will lose all your data but you did back up regularly, right?

Make sure you've disconnected usb when attempting to enter recovery. Hope the silence means you've sorted it out!

If you're trying to unpack the ROM try redownloading the rom.
You're saying that you have CM installed? I had this exact problem and I had PA installed.. it was a mess. I had to sideload the original ROM because to flash with that program your build.prop has to be the original information when you received the phone or else the program will throw a "different phone model"
Do you have the LG usb drivers? Install all proper USB drivers and try to sideload an original ROM.
BTW do you have any backups? Restoring also gets you out of this mess
never mind i opened the wrong folder thanks for everything guys it worked perfectly ^.^

How do u back up your EFS files
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
**This is "my" way of doing things on my D800. I cannot take any responsibility for your device getting effed up no matter who's directions you follow!"
So you think you've got issues with this ROM? Won't boot, flash or start-up. Well, maybe you haven't followed the proper flashing sequence or you have a bad download. Did you know that 99.999% of the issues people are having is user related? Well, maybe I don't know the exact percentage, but you get my drift.
Seriously though, before posting a question, make sure you have done all the personal troubleshooting possible. To help make this a little easier, I am posting the exact method I use for flashing this ROM and I haven't had a single issue.
Before flashing any ROM, you should always be sure to do a proper back-up of your EFS files. This could very well save you from a bricked G2 and save you from having headaches if you do something wrong during the flash, wipe, etc...
The method I use is to download FreeGee from HERE. Once you have downloaded and installed FreeGee, you will have an option for backing up your EFS files and also will provided the different versions of TWRP (TWRP is all I use). Once your EFS files are backed-up, immediately upload them to the "cloud". If you need a good cloud app, HERE is one.
Now that you have this done, you are ready to attempt installing a custom ROM. Here are the steps that I take:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Make a back-up of your current ROM
3. Go back to the recovery home screen
4. Hit the Wipe button
5. Hit the Advanced Wipe button
6. Check the boxes for Dalvik Cache, System, Data and Cache. DO NOT CHECK THE INTERNAL STORAGE BOX!!!
7. Once the wipe is complete, go back to the recovery home screen
8. Hit the Install box
9. Choose the ROM you want to install
10. Swipe to confirm the flash
Once the flash is done, it should say successful if all went correctly. From that screen hit Reboot System. You should see the sweet boot screen and then be brought to the setup screen.
If you have done all this and you are still having trouble, please re-download the ROM and follow the steps again. You may have gotten a bad download.
If after you have followed these steps twice and you still have a ROM specific question, post away.
If anyone has something to add to this, let me know and I will add it. I hope this helps at least one person. bigfau, if you want me to remove this, please let me know.
Other Notes:
~ If you are on the software version that ends with "o", you will likely have to LGFlash back to the "d" version. @AyDee Thank you!
~ The newer version of TWRP and Philz Recovery may cause issues with flashing. I am using TWRP v2.6.3.3 and have no issues with it.
You could add that ATT users coming from the 'o' firmware need to roll back to 'd' and that a lot of users are having issues with the newest TWRP and Philz.
Not rom-specific but worth mentioning.
Anyone use Facebook Messenger on D800 with 3.0 and have it open two apps when you run it? Tried uninstalling and installing it again and still does it. Only app that does. Any idea how to fix it?

WIFI issue
I installed this rom on my D801 and seemed to go well. I booted up phone and could not connect to WIFI so I bypassed that part and when on. Everything seemed to be working so I went into WIFI settings again and tried to connect again but still wouldn't connect just kept searching. Can anyone help me resolve this issue because this really is a great looking rom and would like to use it?

I had similar problem on D800 and solved it by flashing TWRP 2.6.3.3 and then re-flashing this ROM. Hope it helps.
What are the changes in the last version

I "mis"understood you lol .... flash the stock kernel ... habla .... habla...
hi everybody! Im sorry if someone else already posted this issue, but coudnt find it!
I tried to load the “CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20141103-1025-moto_msm8960” to my xt907 and everything was doing fine till i reboot system and the screen of bootloder unlocked never went away!
I also install the gapps and did the Factory reset and fortmat data and cache…
Al first i got the error status 7, but I erase the scrip til ; and could continue!
Any idea on whats going on??
And worse of all, before I began, I did a backup that now isn’t working! The phone stays with the droid eye and won’t start again!!!
Help please!!!
Thanks!
Was it a clean installation? If not, reenter the recovery, and clear data, cache and Dalvik cache (I hope you made the backup via Titanium Backup app before doing this). And let Carbon OS boot on its own (fresh start will take five minutes or so before you're shown the "Get started" setting wizard). Also, Bootloader Unlocked screen is a feature, not a bug - there are some bootloader unlock screen flash files over there ---- > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2824690.
If you don't get any signal, go to Settings, then touch Mobile Networks, and then go to CDMA subscription, and select SIM/RUIM instead of NV. The phone will then try the SIM configuration which you will then get some signal.

I would flash a whole new firmware in there with rsd lite same thing happened to mine.
To enter AP Fastboot Mode while powering up your device hold onto the Power and Volume down and download rsd lite and firmware for your phone.

Thanks for the help!
I’m not sure if it was a clean installation! I did it so many times trying to do it right, that probably did something wrong!
Just a few questions:
-Was it OK to use the “CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20141103-1025-moto_msm8960” in my xt907? There were so many ROMs to download that I wasn’t sure which one to download!
-When I got error status 7, was it OK to erase the script til “;” ?
Now the script is starts like this:
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/ …….etc etc
-Final question: I have to do something with the Kermel? I have the 3.4.42-g5170b6b version.
Thank you both for the help!
What bootloader are you currently using? Jelly Beans or Kit Kat?

OK to run that ROM like what Dr.Mario said the ROM is a jelly bean boot loader ROM which means it won't work. I with have you try PAC man rom best ROM out there and supports KitKat bootloader.

Pick Pac Man with KKBL - emphasize the prefix in "**bl" as it pertains to two separate bootloaders supported herein. "KK" - Kit Kat, and "JB" - Jelly Beans.
