Is there any mod for the Nexus 7 to enable motion gesture, like going to a next picture with a handwave.
Thanks in advance!

hey i m not sure that nexus 7 has proximity :|
anyway u can find some apps that do this with another sensor like front camera or light sensor
wave alarm
sensor music player
and maybe u will find sth for album
:good:
If you mean like some of the samsung devices where you wave your hand in front of the screen and it scrolls and stuff like that. I don't think the N7 has those sensors/hardware to do that. I think at best you actually need to touch the screen, as the only other way to do it would be kinnect style (via the front end camera which wouldn't do much good anyways).

There is no zoom in the Nexus S camera application.
There's a thread on here a couple of weeks ago discussing this. Many pointing out that digital zoom is just cropping of the same image so a wasted feature since you can crop on your own; still, a nice (and missed) feature if you want to send a pic from the phone where you can't get close enough to frame the way you want and you want to send/upload straight from the phone.
I'm not sure if 3rd party camera apps will let you zoom or not, but you might try a demo version of one.
Thank you so much for the reply i thought my phone is broken.
Ya, no "zoom" but meeh it doesnt matter its only Digital zoom
Use Vignette! It's my favorite 3rd party camera, with tons of options and cool mods, allows you to zoom or crop, but has no front facing camera support. But otherwise, it's great.
Thank you
Hi,
Just unboxed my N10 and playing around with it etc. Can't get PhotoSphere mode in the camera - it works on my GNex so I know how to find it in the camera settings, there just isn't an option for it. All I see is three options: Camera / Video Camera / Panorama
Any ideas as to where PhotoSphere is and how I can get it to work?
Thanks!

Sorry - just noticed there was a system update waiting which brought PhotoSphere in along with the lockscreen widgets and new keyboard...glad I noticed that before rooting as could have been a hassle!
Great. Now record some videos of you using your N10 and upload them to youtube. Only joking.
On a serious note, what's the screen like? Good colours? black level? Is there any backlight bleed on your screen?

The screen is gorgeous. I've never actually used a retina to compare but it's miles better than my GNex or N7. Blacks aren't perfect, I'll admit, but they're darker than I expected. I don't see any backlight bleed though as has been reported elsewhere—hopefully that was just a preproduction glitch...
Im not on about the quality as that can easily be done what i mean is the software, personally i find the Nexus 4 camera software kinda awkward to use.
So what im asking is it possible to port over the camera software from let say a Galaxy S3 ect to the nexus 4, so you can have for instant one touch focus, change ISO ect ect, also get rid of the circle focus thing for something like a square box?

Honestly this is my favorite camera app and it works great on the n4. Seems to focus on close up subjects MUCH better.
There is a lite version as well but I highly recommend buying the full version.

When u use front camera, you dont need to reach shutter button on the screen with your finger. just put your finger on the heart rate sensor then when you release finger phone takes a photo.
I would also love this feature!!
Yea me2 ..I was just thinking about this feature ...and to work with both cameras ...
And another trick from note 4 ...fingerprint shortcut
Would be awesome anyway

I think u can open some apps (u choose which one )
Just by swiping /using your fingerprint sensor /button
And u can choose for each finger an app
If samsung care about us ) will share with us some of note 4 features .but I doubt about that ..

You can just use voice control to take a picture, just turn on voice control in camera settings and say "cheese", picture taken.
You can even use the volume key to take a picture.
I'm using the voice command

I can't believe Samsung didn't think of this for the S5, my friend just showed me he can do it on his Note 4 and I was expecting my phone to do the same!

No way... They never added it and it's now 2017...
Even in roms the developers port everything except the camera app stays the same (stock with no heartrate picture taking)...
We don't even need the heart rate thing to take pictures. Just use voice control for hands free selfies.
The touch to take a photo is frustrating as hell when i'm used to tap-to-focus on targets rather than it immediately take a pic.
I've tried fiddling around but still no joy. Anyone know of a secret-squirrel setting someplace to turn that crap off?

I had the same problem with my moto g. An easy fix is to get the google camera app, which is very similar to the stock camera app, but it has tap to focus.

But no slomo or 4k, I hope with the release of the 6p they will add those features to the google camera app, I hate switching between camera apps.

I guess you could just use the stock app when you need to film slow-mo or 4K? Alternatively, you could look around for other camera apps on the forums or on the play store; I found one called open camera, not the nicest looking interface but looks pretty functional...
Edit: I've heard that the moto x style doesn't support the camera api which is a bit of a bummer...
I've used Open Camera previously, may have to give it a go. Google Camera is ok but it is a bit Basic?
I wonder if the Oppo camera app will work >.>
I think many people do not know that you can use the volume up/down buttons to snap a photo. Then it feels very much like a traditional point and shoot camera when you hold it. I literally just found this out today. I really wish Moto included that tidbit in their initial tutorial animations.

I installed this Xposed module on the stock rom and changed almost all the options in it and also installed Camera 360 and Camera FV 5 Pro (I changed the extension from .jpeg to .png in FV5).
Now I'm not sure if this app it's really better or is just a impression because I can't see any difference between the stock image quality (and Google Camera) and the Camera FV5, I can see just the difference in the image size.
Attached sample images - https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B9AGQuLtWUjVUS1lbkF1MTh5MlE&usp=sharing
Camera 360 ≈ 3,6 - 3,8MB
Camera FV5 ≈ 20 - 22MB
Google Camera ≈ 5,0 - 6,0MB
Stock Camera ≈ 5,5 - 6,0MB
Obs.: HDR turned ON in all cameras
