Yes, its a known problem with all roms. Just reboot and use.

My original IMEI number was starting from 35XX and now its has been changed to 44XXXX i have not done anything just using phone as it is. Because of this whenever i inset my simcard my phone gets hanged.

there was a thread some time ago talking about a problem with some elfs going to a special imei, that its blacklisted so it wont work.
i think the mods have deleted the thread, but search in google the whole imei number u have now.

The problem has now one more thing when it starts the phone even without sim it gets hanged. now even i cant see IMEI number by starting and when it starts screen becomes red please help me...

late reply: phone had water damaged, the best thing you can do is stop messing around, remove battery, and take it to capable technician.
it happens often that imei gets to factory default, not 1st case I´ve seen...

that could be that your elf was reported in your operator and the lasted owner send to changued IMEI of the device for continues working with then.
your device dont have any problem for that IMEI only work again

I got an htc trophy lastly but it has a big problem. It stops playing sound sometimes on its own!! The speaker stops and i cant make or receive calls. The headphone doesnt work. When i reboot it it works normally again, until it stops and needs again rebooting. They told me its a software problem. What can i do?? If i root i wont be able to get the upcoming mango update. I tried to hard reset but it doesnt get any better:/ any ideas??

If you got your phone from Vodafone gr then you must return iy at once...
For me this is not a software problem.....Its a hardware problem...
The unlock (no root just unlock) of the device has nothing to do mango update or any update and warranty ...The phone restore that you made is OK to bring the phone in his original state...

You just can't go there without the receipt. You need a proof that someone got it from Vodafone...and its not stolen
Com'n m8...just ask the one that gave you the phone for both the receipt and the Vodafone store

Ask whoever gave you the phone as a present for the receipt... or give them the phone back and they take it.

I got a problem with my HTC HD Mini, after restarting the device due to crashing while receiving SMS, the unlock screen is NOT accepting my CORRECT passcode. After entering the numbers and tapping "UNLOCK" Nothing happens, not even an error message for something like that!
Again I AM ENTERING THE CORRECT PASS CODE and NOTHING happens when I tap unlock.
I NEED MY CONTACTS AND PHOTOS SINCE I DON'T HAVE A BACK UP... So I didn't try "HARD RESET".
Is there any way I can solve it? Is there any way I can recover my data?? Please HELP ME. THANKS...

If you didn't use encryption on your SD card you can just put your microSD in a card reader and backup your files. And if you stored your contacts on your sim card, you can put your sim card in another phone and copy them through that other phone. So, only the data and contacts that are stored on your phone memory are not accessible.

What happens When you put the phone via USB to the PC?

First of all, There is no Micro SD Card installed so I need to back up phone memory files...
I didn't try with windows 7 as that is using different software for syncing the phone, but in Win XP, when I try with Microsoft Active Sync, it says that the phone should be unlocked before it can be synced!!!
If you have the opportunity try with windows 7, I think that'll solve the problem of synchronization. ( I use windows 7 to sync - without to must unlock the screan of phone.) After sync you can do hard reset and look for errors due to screen lock...

Also tried with Win 7 and Mobile Device Center; NOT WORKING... a Dialog Box asks to unlock the phone first and then try to Sync...
Isn't there any other way to access PHONE DATA without actually Syncing it?? Like iPhone Browser for iPhone???

Well, I've asked the customer service already! they offered me HARD RESET. no more choices... (
Hm, sad... I think you are out of options else than trying all password combinations . But I think its better to accept your loss and next time backup your files and contacts. This reminds me of doing a phone backup myself.

I suspect it's a hardware problem then(the digitizer in your case)
if nothing happens when u tap the screen i'm pretty sure this is the problem

Even i have the same problem .. i dont mind loosing my data .. how to Hard reset??? Nothing works no even connecting to pc via windows mobile ... please help
My girlfriend got angry with me and had my phone in her hands. Result: Flying S4 crashes with wall and turns off.
When i turned it on, i noticed it won't connect to the network, and that it has some kind of "micro-freezes" (every 5 seconds, it will freeze for 0.3 seconds).
I brought it to my telephone company service center (as the phone hasn't any fall sign, nor is it damaged). When they first take it, in front of me, they type *#06*, and notice the IMEI says "null". Then they tell me that this is a sign that i tried to root or modify the phone, so the warranty won't cover any fix. They still keep the phone to analyze it.
Some hours after that, i receive an email saying that the phone is ready to pickup. When i go, they repeat that as the IMEI is null they cannot do anything. They also factory-reseted the phone as they always do when analyzing them. (i'm sure they didn't open the phone to check if something was broken, as they take more time when doing this)
So i have two questions:
Has the "micro-freezes" problem have anything to do with the IMEI being null? or is it a problem with broken motherboard? (also the phone will heat a lot when charging, more than normal)
Is there any way to recover the IMEI?

I personally don't think the micro-freeze is related to the IMEI. You should monitor the CPU activity. There can be a component failure, which makes the phone freezing due to drivers and component failure. Just saying....

You can also install Android System Info: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electricsheep.asi&hl=en
With ASI you can check the log, or you can also connect the phone to the pc and monitor through ADB. But with that app you need nothing. Check the logs, there are lines related with the freeze.
Back in March when my S3 was freezing due to sudden death, I had lines in the log related with the freeze, I shown it to the Samsung tech and they replaced my phone's motherboard. Check the line and post here the log, we may help you detect the issue.
