[Q] Stuck in bootloop after trying to go back to stock. - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay so I was on pa 3.0 and wanted to unroot my device and return to stock. So I used this method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039162, and I finished all the steps but now my device gets stuck in the splash screen. Any help here?

Thanks for the reply, and I'm able to get into fastboot mode and whenever I boot into recovery, I just get the dead android sign. And its fine if I lose all my memory because I've backed everything onto my computer.

is this normal for a bootloader ?

So my name is kinda weird. Sometimes glgps persists ans drains the battery. And I can't get into recovery. Here's a pic of my recovery. It seems like fields aren't filled in. (obviously i hid my serial) What gives?
thats normal, looks exactly like the ones I had, to get into recovery you have to hook up to usb
Your bootloader is still locked. You need to unlock to get into recovery.
Edit: Oops, my bad. You don't need to be unlocked to access recovery apparently.

It is a pic for your Bootloader (Fastboot Mode). Using Volume Up/Down, you can select wether boot the device, or reboot into recovery. When you selected what you want, press Power.
Also, yes the product name is fine : Grouper is the product name of Nexus 7.
first you need unlock

Sorry mods. Please move this to q&a.
Thanks to the replies. You have to have USB to get into recovery? No other android device I've ever had , besides the Xoom needed that. You just selected recovery mode from boot loader. All well. I guess all are different.

Plug into usb and use the volume buttons to select reboot recovery then power .. when the android with the red triangle comes up you hit power+vol up and the options come up, I'm talking about stock recovery not CWM pretty sure I read people couldnt get into recovery without it plugged up but I couldve remembered wrong

Cept mine doesn't. When I select recovery mode it hangs at INI (white Google on a black background)
If you think the recovery is borked and want to reflash it , download the factory image from here, extract recovery.img from the image and put it in your platform-tools folder on your PC in ADB and once you are in bootloader from cmd prompt type
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
that is how I go back and forth between CWM and stock

Guys,
@animal gets stuck on google logo, that means the system is also broken..
You got to flash back the whole stock rom.

Do yourself a favor and download the Nexus 7 Toolkit from the Development section - it's allows you to do anything you need to via nice, easy to use menus (including downloading and reverting back to stock Google ROM). It's a *great* tool for the Nexus 7.

Power off then press and hold the power and both volume keys. Once in the bootloader, do a factory reset. Let me know if that works.

You can always reflash factory images as long as you can get to fastboot...download the Nexus 7 Toolkit and it will make it really easy for you.

Sprint S4 Stuck at Yellow Splash/Bootloop

So I got this S4 shortly after it came out running 4.2. I flashed CM 10.2 shortly afterwards, and ran that until the first milestone of CM11 was released. I switched to that for about 2 months, but decided I wanted to return to stock this evening.
I followed Qbking77's guide on unrooting to MDC, and all seemed well until I got to the restart stage and the phone started hanging at the yellow Sprint logo until switching to a bootloop. I've since tried reflashing the image multiple times and no dice.
I have a nandroid backup from 1-18-14 that I took after installing CM11. At this point I'd take anything functional, CM or stock.
After flashing mdc in odin just turn off the phone. Boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset. Reboot. Profit.

Maybe I'm confused but... Isn't that when you hold volume up + power? If I understand what I'm doing, I think I'm only able to get download mode and not recovery.

I see.
So I'm tried those on the phone and I can get download mode, but not recovery mode. It will flash with the text in the top left corner, but then go right back into the boot loop like before.

So... I couldn't get recovery mode to work and I assumed that somehow I had erased it.
I went searching for tutorials on how to restore a stock recovery + rom and found an application that acts as an Odin All In One.
I'm not allowed to link yet, but something tells me that the author Rwilco12 is known around here because it's a pretty helpful piece of work he's done. I used the tool and suddenly I was able to boot into recovery per leaderbuilder's instructions.
The good news is: ITS ALIVE!
Thanks everyone for your help!
If you have an SD card and are stuck at the yellow sprint screen take it out and reboot the phone and it'll boot. After that first boot you shouldn't have a problem anymore

After holding down the volume up and power you can let go of power and hold the volume down. This will make sure it boots into recovery.

send the rom to sd card and rename it to update.zip(if u have stock recovery)
switch off ur phone, press menu+power+volume down key, release after s4 name comes up.
Click on volume up,if u have stock recovery click on factory reset, apply update.zip, wait for it.
If u have custom recovery,u will have many options, wipe everything u see, select file from sd card flash.
Sent from my GT-I9500
edit:if u have custom recovery,u can even mount ur device for adb access.
edit2:this is best to my knowledge..

Yes, but now the phone don't boot.
You need a download mode jig. Can make one yourself or buy in ebay or something.

Well that's a problem. You might try the jig but I've never had to use one so don't know if or how well it'll work.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Seeing that you said you can enter recovery via ADB, you phone should not require a jig I believe, as it tries to boot and. Start ADB which allowed you to enter there. Also did you say that while on recovery your phone starts pressing random buttons. Like say up and down I assume? Just wondering if you have broken volume keys or malfunctioning keys.
And which model S4 do you have?
