I rooted my phone today and installed clockwork recovery. Firmware is V20A. Everything in that respect works perfect.
Before I started the process, I backed up my phones data using LG PC Suite.
I want to restore my backup files...contacts etc, but every time I try to use LG PC Suite to restore my personal files and info, it reboots my phone and I drop into clockworkmod recovery screen. At this point the computer cannot see the phone and seemingly cannot restore my personal files.
I did my best to find a solution, but I find myself at a loss as to what to try next. Any advise is appreciated.

Sure. I worked on this for 2 days. I had nearly given up. It seemed as though installing V20a was a mistake. But there is a solution was rather simple. I will post a link or 2 and hope they dont get removed.
First off...Framaroot was what did the job. Find it Here.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
This is how I did it...
1. Make sure that your usb is in debugging mode by going to Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging
2. Copy Framroot to your external SD card
3. Install ES File Explorer from the Play Store onto your phone
4. Use ES File explorer and find the Framaroot.apk that you copied to your sd card and run it.
That was about it. The only thing that worked for me.
Lastly clockworkmod recovery would not install via Rom Manager (for me) so I just downloaded the L7 version clockwork apk and installed it the same way as I did with framaroot...I got it from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
I hope this helps and I hope posting a link was not a no no...if so...I apologize.

I'm guessing you're using custom rom for 4.4.2 right? i think custom rom means no LG suite but I dont think thats a problem..why do you need LG suit?

I need it so i can get back my contacts and info. I did a full backup before i install 4.2.2, and now i wanted to get the contacts and calendar back, but LG suite doesnt recognize the phone.
I figure out, got it back to 4.1.2, restore the backup, backup to external and install 4.4.2 and restore from it. Thanks
Dear retroflash
Do you have a backup of your recovery? I don't think so. Try to search the internet for it. Maybe you eill find something. Otherwise you're doomed.

you can use the firmware that you can see here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239786
and here are the instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31828740
(skip step 1, you already have the firmware)
and ofcourse in backing up the applications and data you can use app backup and restore (downloadable via play store) and about the data or save files on the games etc, i really don't know how to back those up so you would need to start again. In sms, you could use sms back up and restore of any kind. There are so many applications in the Play store where in you could use to back up your files.
P.S: When using KDZ your phone would go to emergency mode but dont worry it is just flashing. Just wait for it to reboot.

Thanks alot! Two questions tho, is there a way to do without losing any apps and data? Also, will this ROM work on the ROGERS network as it's taken from a different country. Thanks once again.
EDIT: I just updated through LG PC Suite, it's working fine now, thanks everyone for the help!

As far as I know it would work on any network since it is an OPEN Network. And for the losing apps and data, as I said, you could use different back up and restore. You could download them on the Play Store (e.g. SMS BackUp and Restore, App Back up and restore). Though your save files on some games would be deleted. Atleast you would have a smooth buttery OS

Long story short, I deleted my backup rom (Don't ask Please cause I already know)
I am running TWRP 2.6.3.2 and it does NOT let me install any rom (4.3 or 4.4) I constantly get the error (Error executing updater binary in zip) for every rom zip I have downloaded.(AOKP)(PA)(CM 11) etc...
I've tried the Return to stock guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 in General Discussion, and I consistently get stuck @ 49% when restoring the firmware.
I also cannot get the LG Mobile support tool to download a new firmware for the phone itself.
I do have access to sideload via TWRP but it is useless because every rom gives me an error.
Do I have any options left or do I just call it a week and enjoy my $600 paper weight?
Please any help would be much appreciated!

Can you get into download mode? If so, the LG Mobile Launcher should work. Make sure you have the latest drivers downloaded from LG. It should also be in the thread about using the Mobile Launcher. I couldn't get it to work at first because I didn't install the latest drivers. Just plugging in the phone to your PC won't do it. Also, if you do get it to work, the firmware that will be installed will be d80110g, not d80110c that came with the phone. There is no info about this version other than the thread I started about it. Code Hustler tweaked ioroot to root this version and it is in the thread. Just search "T-Mobile software update" in the general section if you do get it installed. Good luck!

Whenever I try to use the upgrade, it never even asks me for my IMEI , it says stuck displaying: Downloading software, but it never downloads anything. It could be a driver issue. There is just so many links on here maybe I really haven't installed the correct drivers??
Any links to drivers that works would be very nice if possible!

Problem Resolved / My Solution
Okay, after 12+ hours of trying every method possible on XDA I finally resolved my issue. I will update the first post just incase any others care or fall into the same dilemma I was in.
The LG Mobile Support tool would not download the firmware and it would NOT ask me for my IMEI to download it either.
So my solution....
***
Installed LG Mobile Support Tool then Installed the LG Drivers.
BEFORE I connected the phone to the computer. I opened the LG Mobile support tool clicked (Options on the top right).
When the dropped down opened, I clicked the (Upgrade Recovery) option. THEN, is when the prompt opened to ask me what my IMEI is.
Before I entered my IMEI, I connected my phone to the computer, then proceeded to enter my IMEI and hit OK.
This is when the LG Mobile Support tool SUCCESSFULLY downloaded the latest official LG firmware and installed it.
*** BE AWARE, with the phone connected to the PC, the prompt NEVER appeared to enter my IMEI.
*** But with the phone disconnected, the prompt came up every time. This might be the trick for some people.
*** with the IMEI prompt opened, I then connected the phone , entered the IMEI, then hit OK. BOOM HERPES....
Well I'll polish this up more later. I hope this works for every LG G2 Variant and not just the T-Mobile one (D801)
-Esteef
Well, good to hear that your phone works again... I see CM nightly has some TWRP install script in lastest build, and a TWRP version for CM 10.2 and CM11...

Just unpack your kdz_updater package with winrar in a folder where you want to use it. I don't see anything about incompatibility with win8.
one problem remains

i succesfully unbricked my lg thanks to kind people who knew how to do it.

I have LG G2 D802 32GB. When I bought it, there was Android 4.4.2 KitKat installed.
Then I rooted it using ioroot25 and installed custom recovery using AutoRec.
I flashed CloudyG3 v1.2 rom by @Cloudyfa using TWRP.
It was working really good except the VOIP calls, thus I wanted to revert back to stock.
I found this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
I tried to flash it using some Europe Open KDZ from this page: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G2%2FStock%2F
The flashing started and stucked at I think 4%. I rebooted the phone and it appeared as qhsusb_dload.
I can't remember if I clicked on Normal or CFE flash. But I think it was normal.
I tried to unbrick it with this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
After that I got only LG logo and no recovery, no fastboot, no download mode, no qhsusb_dload mode, no nothing.
Now I got board replacement. The board have rooted Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean installed.
As I want to have CloudyG3 installed. I tried to do that by installing custom recovery and then flashing the CloudyG3 rom and KitKat baseband. But I think I have a battery drain issue, as Cludyfa already said. I also tried with flashing the Cust and Persist partitions from the KitKat KDZ, but my battery didn't got any better.
The question is, why I bricked my phone with LG flash tool? What should I do to make sure that this won't happen again?
I made backup of entire phone nand (mmcblk0). Should I DD it if I get the bulk mode (qhsusb_dload) again?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
@mss1988 if the phone is stuck at 4% just let it still for some time cause the program could might be bugged or some other error, just leave the phone on dont restart it cause the phone has first removed the stuff and didnt copied the bootloader etc yet.
If you get qhsusb_dload mode then I suggest to use the unbrick guide and also Pick the right files for your phone. You can DD your backup to your phone but using the unbrick guide seems safer to me.
Also check when you can use that qhsusb dload that all files are copied good.
Tip to prevent brick after root and custom recovery: Flash an stock rom through recovery or an stock rom which got modified under the hood.

And i flashed custom rom for LG Magna(AOSP Rom,Exception rom) in search of those 8GB,and i did it. But now the whole software has problems, like no double tap for lock-unlock,camera is really bad,no QMemo, and alot of things that original LG Magna had. Now there comes tricky part,i wanted to flash it back to normal stock firmware via LG Flash Tool with KDZ file(i found KDZ file for LG Magna) aaaaaand as i wanted to start flashing to stock firmware,THE PHONE HAS NO DOWNLOAD MODE THAT IS NECESSARY FOR FLASHING.Can you guys please help me finding out how to flash it to stock rom? So to those people who will face this problem in the future, here's some tips.
1. Download your firmware from here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=237
(ctrl+f) then type the model number
2. Follow the instructions from this site: http://www.file-extensions.org/article/install-kdz-firmware-to-lg-smartphone
3. A window will appear asking for your country and language. Choose different country then your language. (If you are not Korean)
4. If an error about "can't connect to server" occurs, ignore it. You've already downloaded the file, so there's nothing to worry about.
5. Wait until it finishes rebooting and optimizes the apps.
6. ???
7. Profit
Hahaha, jk.
8. Enjoy and be careful next time
