[Q] LG optimus L7 P 705 Stuck in emergency mode after flashing with KDZ

Yesterday, i try something with my phone
first my phone in FW V20a taiwan + root, next i want to flash it with FW V20a CIS +root+ CWM + deodex
after that KDZ has an error
here's a picture​
Now i stuck in emergency mode!!. i have waiting for it. and still nothing.
I've tried to flash it again. and still stuck in emergency mode.
Can someone fix this problem?
or i must go to LG SERVICE CENTER?

I had this problem before, where my phone was stuck in emergency mode. I flashed it by following the instructions in this zip I found on a french android forum. www4. zippyshare .com/v/61483915/file. html (remove spaces)

same problem here, tried to flash the newest stock rom on my gf's l7 p700 fail and now im stuck on the emergency mode.. hope it helps :crying:

Only solution for me was to flash using LG Emergency Recovery

The offical LG update tool saved my life, it restored it
Xperia Arc S [lt18i]
ROM: latest FXP CM10
Kernel: Fusion Kernel 5.1

Thank you so much! My phone works again after a week of trying a lot of things

I was upgrading my LG P705 to 4.1.2 usind KDZ V20B, but it failed & its now stuck in emergency mode. The main problem is my PC is not recognizing it. I uninstalled LG drivers & installed again, but then also, its not recognised by my PC. Please Help.

Yeah so I had the same issue and tried this method, but i am not sure I got the right LG update software. Where do i download it from?
Also, when im running this, despite me running the little server the LG update thingy still connects to the internet and downloads a kdz, which fails to be installed on the phone.
I am trying this on a vista computer, will try on XP to see if results change.

My problem solved
before flashing use should care about alternate program running instead of KDZ upgrade tool, also need P705 dll files
i also stucked in Emergency mode i check Device Manager\Modem disable it and put P705 dll files and work nice
i also tell that we want better stable program instead of LG KDZ upgrade tool

Long story short, I deleted my backup rom (Don't ask Please cause I already know)
I am running TWRP 2.6.3.2 and it does NOT let me install any rom (4.3 or 4.4) I constantly get the error (Error executing updater binary in zip) for every rom zip I have downloaded.(AOKP)(PA)(CM 11) etc...
I've tried the Return to stock guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 in General Discussion, and I consistently get stuck @ 49% when restoring the firmware.
I also cannot get the LG Mobile support tool to download a new firmware for the phone itself.
I do have access to sideload via TWRP but it is useless because every rom gives me an error.
Do I have any options left or do I just call it a week and enjoy my $600 paper weight?
Please any help would be much appreciated!

You sure? I just did it successfully. Did you download the correct firmware?

Il always yuse lg mobile support. Il start by geting lg g2 ind download mode, power and vol +
When my phone is ind download mode i conect it too the computer and start the lg mobile support
Press options and upgrade it works for me

Can you get into download mode? If so, the LG Mobile Launcher should work. Make sure you have the latest drivers downloaded from LG. It should also be in the thread about using the Mobile Launcher. I couldn't get it to work at first because I didn't install the latest drivers. Just plugging in the phone to your PC won't do it. Also, if you do get it to work, the firmware that will be installed will be d80110g, not d80110c that came with the phone. There is no info about this version other than the thread I started about it. Code Hustler tweaked ioroot to root this version and it is in the thread. Just search "T-Mobile software update" in the general section if you do get it installed. Good luck!

Sideload the latest twrp recovery and then pick your rom and retry make sure you are correctly wipeing systen dalvik and chache

Whenever I try to use the upgrade, it never even asks me for my IMEI , it says stuck displaying: Downloading software, but it never downloads anything. It could be a driver issue. There is just so many links on here maybe I really haven't installed the correct drivers??
Any links to drivers that works would be very nice if possible!

I cant post outside links, but go to google and search d801 usb driver and download it from lg site
Try install and tell me if it solved your problem.. Otherwise ill help you getting it solved.

Problem Resolved / My Solution
Okay, after 12+ hours of trying every method possible on XDA I finally resolved my issue. I will update the first post just incase any others care or fall into the same dilemma I was in.
The LG Mobile Support tool would not download the firmware and it would NOT ask me for my IMEI to download it either.
So my solution....

Installed LG Mobile Support Tool then Installed the LG Drivers.
BEFORE I connected the phone to the computer. I opened the LG Mobile support tool clicked (Options on the top right).
When the dropped down opened, I clicked the (Upgrade Recovery) option. THEN, is when the prompt opened to ask me what my IMEI is.
Before I entered my IMEI, I connected my phone to the computer, then proceeded to enter my IMEI and hit OK.
This is when the LG Mobile Support tool SUCCESSFULLY downloaded the latest official LG firmware and installed it.
*** BE AWARE, with the phone connected to the PC, the prompt NEVER appeared to enter my IMEI.
*** But with the phone disconnected, the prompt came up every time. This might be the trick for some people.
*** with the IMEI prompt opened, I then connected the phone , entered the IMEI, then hit OK. BOOM HERPES....
Well I'll polish this up more later. I hope this works for every LG G2 Variant and not just the T-Mobile one (D801)

a while ago i rooted my d802 and flashed some roms and my experience was that my batterlife was worsen. So i tried to flash official kdz firmware in order to unroot my phone.
What i did was verry simple, flash the kdz and factory reset the whole device. But then i went back to download mode to see if i still had root. to my suprise it showd this (kdz 220b, userB99- rooted)
my question is why is it still rooted ?

hey men, i tried exactly what you said, but it stil the same after i flashed the kdz with CSE flash mode.
when i go back to download mode it stil says (user b97 - rooted in) i forgot to say that rooted is in red letters, does that say annything ? i am bit confused

Let me know, did you download KDZ ROM from http://lg-firmware-rom.com ?
You have to enter your IMEI to get you download link. It's a kdz file with around 1.6 Gigabytes.

It doesn't make sense!
Stocks KDZ will make your phone like first day and repartition all partitions.
CES mode should works and Its delete all of your files.
BTW, It's just way I know to back to completely stock ROM.
Try again maybe works.

i totally agree with you, but i already tried more then once.
I remeber that around 3 months ago i flashed an official kdz file and i tried to install root and recovery but it kept failing, so i installed an app called autrec and this app fixed everything .
Could this thing cause the problem ?

No, autorec just install recovery.

i have also to mention, each time i went back to stock kdz i installed root checker, and the app kept saying root is not properly installed blabla, realy weird.

Hello abati.
The "rooted" tag in download mode is an error by LG, when they updated the LG G2 to KitKat. You can manually replace some files (rct.config), but even though it shows ROOTED in download mode, it isn't unless you manually rooted it after flashing a kdz.
If you're thinking of sending the phone in for a repair, I recall hearing that it doesn't have any effect at all.
But if it really bothers you that much you can flash a Jelly Bean ROM kdz (4.2.2) and UNROOTED will appear in dowload mode or just replace the files. But it has no practical value since your phone is not rooted.

It will change make sure you download and flash the correct model and storage (16 GB or 32 GB).
Also, it's easier to press thanks button than to say thanks - unless you're out of thanks for today, like I am

hey m8 what you said is right, i flashed a kdz (D80210A_00) but it acted strangely cuz it kept rebooting and I then shutdown the phone with a combination of the buttons and then powered on but it kept rebooting. eventualy i checked in the download mode and there it said unrooted in white text.
eventualy i went back to kdz (D80220H_00) kitkat rom, and i factory reset everything and downloaded root checker, root checker says LG g2 device is not rooted. But when i went back to download mode and just see what it said ^^
It says rooted men -_- realy disturbing
did LG do this intentialy ? cuz if i am going to send tis device for repair the chance is very high that they will charge me the cost for the repair because my phone shows that i rooted.

I suggest installing the Stock Jelly Bean .kdz file for your device, and then upgrading to KitKat ONLY via OTA.

But when i flashh jb kdz it keeps rebooting, totally nonsense if you ask me, but when i hold power and volume down for a couple sec. then the phone shuts down, after that i pressed the power butten but it still kept rebooting. I was able to enter the download mode and see for my self that it showed that it was not rooted, but besides that the phone always keeps rebooting.
After I flashed the kdz based on kitkat, i did not had anny problem at all, except that download mode shows that im rooted when in realtime its not.

Hello again. Sorry for the delay, was busy reading!
After flashing a jelly bean KDZ you need to perform a hard reset if it bootloops.
Just press and hold volume down and power button till lg logo pops up, then release the buttons and then immediately press and hold volume down and power button again. Then follow the instructions.
If you flashed the correct file, you'll get an OTA update to kitkat

Touch not working after flashing stock ROM

I have LG G2 32GB from HK
First I Rooted the device, everything was OK- phone works...
Than I decided to burn STOCK ROM , i used LG Flash Tool 2014
Flash was 100% success, no error
After Device finish boot,
In the first Welcome screen (where you choose language)
I cannot touch the screen, everywhere i click (touch) the screen it seems like i touch somewhere else....
I cannot proceed forward from the welcome screen
The phone does not respond to my touch.... broken
The phone goes into Download mode, and quite strange- though i flah unrooted Stock Rom - it still writes that the phone is rooted.....
I tried to flash 5 different ROM (kdz file), None of them helped...same problem for each KDZ
I tried to flash using Win 8.1 , and Win7 ...same thing..touch not working after boot finished.....
I found a similart problem with no solution:

You have a refurb and a different model. Check my post here. You need to open your phone, you either have the D800 or D801. Flash that ROM, and you wil be fine.

The phone was sold as NEW and not Refr.
It was in Genuine box, with Genuine Chrager (and even manual)
Though it might be fraud...
I talked to the seller, and i am sending it back to him
Hopefully he will fix it/replace it

but when i try to flash it with .tot files with LG flashtool v1.81, but i always got [Download FAIL!!] Check DLL or BIN file.
i also tried to flash it with some KDZ files like (D80210B_00, D80210F_00) i got 100% success but stuck at 1st welcome screen too.
i tried to look for KDZ file for the LS980 version but i can't any, so can someone please help me out here, please?
Would it work if i flash it with KDZ if i can find the LS980 KDZ-file for it?
i hope someone can help me please...

i tried to look for KDZ file for the LS980 version but i can't any, so can someone please help me out here, please?
Would it work if i flash it with KDZ if i can find the LS980 KDZ-file for it?
i hope someone can help me please...

You can flash with the TOT, you just need to edit the TOT file in a Hex editor and change the model to what you have (LS980). Look at my post here on how to do that.

Bricked LG G6

Hello everyone!
To make my problem short I tried to update my LG G6 on Oreo but in the middle of update process phone shut down(I didn't know why-probably battery?) And after that phone is bootlooping and I tried to flash stock rom using uppercut and LGUP but without success I manage to start flash process and when it reaches about 50% phone just reboots and flash tool gives error message. Now phone is bricked. I don't now if there are any solutions. Any help is appreciated! Thank you guys! :fingers-crossed:

See some post how to enter in download mode (within fraction of second).. use LGUP and flash PROPER ROM..
(I see it was bootlooping.. that it must be charging)

Huge thanks for your reply, well I manage to get to download mode without problem, PC can detect phone as well and I can start flashing process, however with all firmwares I have found I cannot "refurbish" because "refurbished is not supported by that firmware" so I can only select upgrade in LG up. When I start process it goes all the way up to about 50% and phone just reboots back to download mode, after that LG UP moves a few % further reaching about 55% and gives error " invalid response code". I think if I can somehow use that refurbish option to clean flash stock rom , maybe that will be the fix. Thanks again.

I also forgot to mention that when I failed to install stock room with LG up my phone cannot escape download mode, when I force reboot it phone goes again directly to download mode. Probably because there is no OS installed?

Are you sure to using right firmwares for your model?

Thanks for reply. Pretty sure I did use good firmware I found links here on XDA forums and downloaded "H8710d_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0327.kdz" but if I somehow found .tot file would that make a difference and let me to use that "refurbish" option. Thanks everyone for help, very appreciated!

Hi Ray, can you provide me the link of the tot file? I have the same problem

Unfortunately, I think there are no tot files that support refurbish. But after I replaced motherboard regular kdz update flash worked perfectly. I haven't found solution to that problem.
I would suggest you to try your luck if you have unlocked bootloader and try to flash TWRP to get phone back.
