aftermarket camera showing stuck pixels in sensor?

anyone else try any aftermarket cameras for video camera mode and notice different colored like stuck pixels? whenever I make a video on another camera, like stock google camera, Lenovo super camera, snap camera, a few little white stuck pixels show up.
they don't show up in the stock app. I'm wondering if this camera sensor has dead pixels, and somehow the noise reduction on the stock app hides them. is there any sort of pixel mapping program for Android cameras like dslrs have?

Noticed something as well. Initially I thought it was a dead pixel on the screen so I downloaded an app to check for it but it found no problem. Then decided to upload the vids to my desktop and the odd pixel behavior was very obvious.
I am not aware of cell phone manufacturers putting in that level of effort to correct defects but it would certainly seem possible. Beyond my knowledge to speculate further. Will check to see stock versus "lgcamcorder" app. Right now.

Sigh... not showing up...
I don't recall the exact conditions that made them show up. Will check my desktop later an recreate the issue.
No problem at all here,i just took a video with super camera in a dark room.Everything is dark no whites at all.
I think a youtube sample of what we are talking about is in order. It's not always easy to see, but when you find a video that has them it's really obvious. It takes the right colors in the image of the video for them to show up it seems. Kind of hard to explain. Trying to find the videos that had the problem since I'm at my desktop now.

Found a video with the problem, going to upload to Youtube in a bit. Be sure to have your computer open to full screen since the dots are quite small.

Video of my bird, and my finger lol
Be sure to have full screen and 1080p or the 'artifacts' created in the video are not visible.
Ugg, compression even at 1080p has blended much of the white spots away. I think maybe a frame capture from the original file will be the best way to show what I'm talking about. But anyway, if you look at my birds grey feathers as he walks about you will be able to see white flickering pixels that don't move so they stand out as his grey feathers pass by them. When he first walks to the left near his water you can see them, and when I put my finger out and he 'trips' you can see them pretty clearly.
I guess the upshot from this is if you are going to upload your videos to something like Youtube, then the bad flickering pixels won't matter much. Trust me when I say watching the original file it's obvious where the bad pixels are and they are nearly always visible.
Maybe I will have to upload to Vimeo instead so the original file can be downloaded.

yup., bottom towards the right where your finger is, you can clearly see a stuck blue pixel.
that's exactly what i get. i get blues and whites.
If I remember correctly, I recorded that video at a higher than stock bit rate with the lgcamera app, not the stock app to avoid confusion. When I get around to it I will try to set up identical scenes and post the difference.
This may seem like a useless issue to some but with others trying to make a better camera app for the g2 it seems important to be aware of this.
Interesting. I noticed exactly the same. I do have Cyanogen with paranoid google apps and:
-using cyanogen camera app: I get a couple of camera stunk white pixels
-using lgcamera app (adapted for cyanogen): stunk pixels are bot there
It seems there are some additional stunk pixels enabling DIS (digital stabilization)

the issue i have is after updating to 4.4.2 stock hangouts and tango and wechat video calling all have bad camera,, but the phone camera is fine in the main app it self, video and photo>> any idea what i have to do here?

Camera Help?!

Hey fellow Z1 owners. I have a question about the camera and maybe I am doing it completely wrong. I noticed that when I take pictures, they don't really come out that sharp, in superior auto or full manual. Below is an example.
As you can see on my dog's body, the fur looks like a flat, smudgy mess while in real life those are each individual hairs. Is it something to do with the camera software and pixel binning or is it my crap photo skills?
When I compare some of the pictures taken with my Nexus 5, I notice that the hairs can easily be defined and pictures are generally less noisy. Any help or insite would be appreciated. Running .290.
This picture is from the Nexus 5. As you can see, more detail and less noise. This is mindboggling to me.
The picture looks fine to me. It has that distinct "Sony" skin smoothing effect.
I assume that the lighting conditions are less than optimal? It could just be the aggressive image processing from Sony. Did you try a different camera app?
More the ISO is, more you will have this "effect".

The lighting conditions arent "optimal' but they certainly arent LOW light. I noticed a lot of pictures have this smoothing effect reducing detail. Will a different app help this at all?
Try to take pictures on manual 8mp. 4x3 and use landscape as seen that helps me in some conditions
And don't use auto mode results won't be that good

Oh, that doesn't look good, but again you've got lights again, I would suggest trying it in the daytime, by the way it doesn't look like a slow motion video you are recording?

Anyone interested in getting a port of the mate 20 pro camera? I like the fact it has those cinematic video shooting modes like black background with subject in color.

Interested, as long as it can work properly on my Exynos Note 9.

Nope. The stock camera overides the manual brightness settings to create a better preview of the picture you are taking.

The pictures are not appearing dull, its because you are viewing at lower brightness settings in the gallery.
