You can name it whatever you want as long as the settings are all correct.

The difference is the field that says APN, one is pta, and the default one for the phone says phone.

Try this APN and see if it works. Next time please just spend a few minutes using Google before asking. It took me a few seconds to find this.

No sir... Sorry. Way to much was edited. I did leave the Resources, SystemUI, and Framework untouched from GingerTh3ory, so the CandyStor3 mods will work just fine.

Call Recording has nothing to do with the ROM... It is the kernel and it hasn't been worked out yet. When it is... It will be in the ROMS

I saw the same with my yahoo mail. Use the following to set it up.
With this set up, you can have your free Yahoo email coming to your android phone.
- Go to mail icon
- Add account
- Enter email address in email address filed ([email protected])
- Enter password at password field
- Select MANUAL SETUP not next
- Select IMAP
* username= [email protected]
* password = yourpassword
* IMAP server= imap.mail.yahoo.com
* port = 143
* security = none
* optional = blank
- Select NEXT
The set up will prompt you to sign in. You will then be taken to the SMTP settings which only prompts you for address which is smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com. leave the port as is. Then select NEXT. Sign in. Name your account and that’s it.

I don't use it, so I have no idea if it has ever worked properly. Lol, I will check it out though. I can't see what would have broken it.
I am working on a maintenance release also, a few things I have noticed left over from the Sensepocalypse.

I was/am the same.

This is not really slow. Just poor compared to the 20 mbps some people are getting. And it is still faster than Sprint 3G
Also, problem with MMS probably resides in your APN

It pales in COMPARISON but by all means is not slow. The Sprint users are suffering!

Giffgaff settings - a definitive answer?

Hi
I am having problems getting a data connection with my giffgaff sim. I have read various threads on here and on the giffgaff community forums with suggestions however none of these have worked for me.
Can anyone provide advice?
This is what I use (password is password) and I haven't had any problems!

Try the APN settings here found under GPRS-3G Settings : http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Learn-giffgaff-Top-Tips/Definitive-APN-Settings-list/td-p/1279
I used this guide on their forums here: community.giffgaff.com/t5/Learn-giffgaff-Top-Tips/Android-4-0-4-1-amp-4-2-Jelly-Bean-amp-ICS-Internet-and-MMS/td-p/6352504
You need to put the usual http... in front of community in that link, sorry, I'm too new to post urls.
Details in my link look similar to jm89s link.
Just to check, have you had a text saying that you've activated your sim? I had to activate mine by putting the code on the credit card thing that my sim popped out of into their website. I then got a text telling me it was time to activate my 3g, but that I might need to do it manually. They have an app in Google Play carried something like 'giffgaff apn helper' that can autoconfigure some devices.

Not familiar with avatar, but in the network settings there should be something like access points, there you would add an apn of your network.

Straight talk apn

I currently have a AT&T s4 using ST.
My current apn is tfdata that can be found on the ST website. Is this the best one?
My phone says 4G but its.obviously not 4G speeds.
Also my simcard was the original big one and I cut it so could this be a problem of my slow speeds?
Thanks

the most you will get is HSPA which shows 4G icon, the only Straight Talk that gets LTE is the Galaxy S3 and its on Sprint Network. The max throughput is around 7MBPS down and around 1MBPS up.
