Hello guys.
Since the IO, Google Services became very hungry!!
Before the update I didn't had any problems... I had always 3G/H+ enabled and I had sync for email and gtalk..
1,2 days after io data limit reached!
Now, if I increase my data limit 2 mbs, in less than an hour the limit will exceed again...
I also face some FCs on gapps.
I have CM10.1 RC3, and I wear a white T-shirt.
I tried a clear install of CM RC3 but still the same...
Any thoughts?

Try a blue teeshirt. I use the CM nightly and no issues.

I couldn't click anything in the dock when i installed this yesterday? Was a clean install.
Edit: Just had to update Nova and it's fine.
R: [ROM][4.2.1] Official Cm10.1 monthly for Nexus S & Nexus S 4G
any feedback?
i flashed this rom over xylon rom, based on cm10.1
no issue or problem.
I'm on this ROM from yesterday (full wipe), with stock CM kernel.. no issues so far.. Only one Trebuchet FC, but probably was my fault..
BatteryLife seems normal, no drain etc..
Everything work good, and smooth enough for a 4.2 rom.. but too many animation ...
I give you some feedback using this ROM as my daily driver..
Put the M release on last night. Using marmite 7.2.3. Works well, smooth and battery life seems ok.
Installed it straight over the top of the CM 10.1 nightly i was on.
Will try marmite 7.3 sometime soon, but had a few issues with that for battery life on the recent nightlies.
Many thanks for this ROM CM people.
Just as an aside, i had a horrible time with the phone over the last few days. Not sur what happened but it wouldn't boot past the bootloader, and somehow i lost the recovery (TWRP). Had to go back to the factory 4.1 version and rebuild the lot from there. Then it all happened again.
Finally worked out why, apart from me being an idiot. I had used Titanium Backup to load apps and settings back after an update, and they were backups of 4.2 apps, not 4.1. So, rebuilt from scratch on 4.1, got a nandroid backup of that. then built from scratch on a CM10.1 nightly from December that i knew was good and reinstalled all apps and settings manually. Much cursing and gnashing of teeth.
battery drain is very very slow.
I lost only 2% after 9h in stand-by mode. with others roms ithe minimun was 6%.
Keep in mind that this is the first 4.2 ROM i've installed:
I'm facing the AndroidOS 50% battery drain sometimes... Yesterday this value was 45-50%; today, after a full charge and a reboot, the value is 7-10% (Stock CM Kernel)..
I've noticed that even with other ROMs and Kernels on 4.1.. probably it is related to apps installation and first launch.. so not a real issues...
Two minor "aesthetic-personal-issues":
- "clear all recent apps" is in the top-right corner, totally invisible when more than 3 apps are running, hope CM team will set it on the top left or leave the decision to user...
- sometimes is hard to know if some "toggle" in user bar are ON, OFF or inactive (like WiFi On but not connected, Gps etc).. probably this needs some work2do to clarify the behaviour of this tiles... or maybe it is just personal taste...
And I hope that in future they add the option to set 4 or 5 tiles per rows in user bar...
Battery life is not different from CM10 or other 4.1 ROMs...
I just had a literal nightmare with this rom. While I was just swiping through the desktop with the phone charging suddenly everything started to black out. What was scary was how gradual it was happening i almost thought my phone is going to explode now or something lol. Didn't help the fact that I was using the phone at night in pitch darkness.
Took out the battery immediately and rebooted just fine for now. I updated from cm 10 stable without wipe as i was prompted for an ota update.

same happened to me, but without the charger and stock CM kernel... Now I'm testing Marmite 7.3 and everything work good...
I think that this is related to some background operation that slow down the device..
Hi everyone,
I am using a nexus 4, jelly bean 4.2.1, have been rooted. After a week of use, I have noticed some problems:
- Camera: sometimes it stopped working, can't take photos. I searched and found this problem was reported somewhere.
- Laggy transitions in app drawing when I am installing some apps.
- Wifi connection: sometime it doesnt find the wifi network while my friend's iphone can see it.
- Mobile data: After long hours of unused, mobile data is disabled. The only ways to enable it are enable airplane mode or reboot. I saw this problem reported elsewhere too.
- Random laggy: overall the phone is fast and smooth. However, sometimes I find it laggy when opening or closing apps. It happens randomly.
- Baterry drain: sometimes the battery drain significantly. I once experienced 33% to 13% in few minutes of camera use.
Has anyone had the same problem? Hopefully it was a software problem. Do you recommend any other better custom ROM?

Figure out battery drain problem.
I flashed the original stock rom, wipe all data and apps. Today I can use my phone all day with screen on ~ 3hours and ~ 40% battery remaining. Yesterday I noticed an app called LINE ate up 25% of my battery. I thought it was a wrong measurement. However, after removing it, my battery improved significantly.

I have CM 10.1 Nightly with Mako kernel. The data usage monitor is saying Google Play Store has used 27+ GB of data. I have a 16GB Nexus 4 so that cannot be right. T-mobile SMSed me that I recently went over 4GB which sounds right.
Why is Play Store claiming it used so much?
I heard that the rc3 release of cm10 had an issue with math process when calculating data usage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Try the newest version or another rom see if it reports the same usage.

Upgrade to rc4. There was a calculation error.

I am still having this issue on RC4 recently, from my data usage counter on nexus 4 it is showing that i have been using 11GB for the past 5 days, from Jun 6 - Jun 10. Top usage from playstore with background usage of 2GB and background usage from Chrome of 1GB.
How is it possible that background usage can amount that such a figure? If 11GB of data traffic is being transmitted from my nexus 4, my battery life should deplet within a mere few hours. But my battery life have been nothing out of the ordinary, a full charge last me a full day till the evening when i reach home at about 7pm with a remaining battery percentage of 30%.
I have a screenshot but i cant post link under 10 post count, Sorry.
By the way, even if it was just a calculation error, you can limit the amount of automated actions the play store does by turning off automatic updates on a number of apps you don't wish to be automatically updated (or limit them to only do so over wifi, which is usually an option that pops up for larger than normal apps).
Personally I'd probably freak if I saw 26GB transferred, but then I would blame the measurements because I usually monitor traffic on my routers/etc (plus on the mobile network, I wouldn't have been able to transfer that much in such short period of time).
Hello everyone!
I'm a new consumer of this great phone and everything working great, but.. I have a little battery drain on every kernel, doesn't matter it's stock or franco, or official cyanogenmod kernel. I also tried ParanoidAndroid, Cyanogenmod 10.1, and stock system. What can i do with it?
Turn off auto-sync and reboot.

the more that you have syncing, the more battery gets used. also, mediaserver showed up in your stats.. you have music syncing.
That's weird because on Xperia Arc I turned on auto-sync and it was ok. And I not sync music over Internet at all.
did you by chance freshly wipe your device or freshly flash a rom? if you did, its common to see android system and media server in the stats. its all the syncing thats going on from being fresh. have you rebooted since? if not, reboot, then check your stats in a little bit.
I was flashed stock rom at the morning.
I turn off auto-sync and restart phone, and I also turn off Google Now, Internet conection, screen brightnes - minimum and I send 3 sms. After 1,5h of doing nothing my battery status changed from 100% to 96%. Why?

The audio out_2 is pretty high. Were you listening to music? If you did then that's normal. If you didn't then that's a problem.

Yes I listened music, but for about 5-10 minutes. So what can I do with it? I've got PowerAmp ani it's always frozen in Greenify app. I didn't use stock music player, never ever.
I'm getting the high android system too. Just for reference, my screen on time was 1 hour 14 minutes when I took that screen shot. I just didn't want to waste space by adding another pic. Normally, I don't care as I'm usually near a charger, but I was out of the house from 11 am till 9 pm, and with only 40 minutes of screen time on, I was down to 5%

Guys, make sure sync is off and head over the play store and download greenify

Sync off, Greenify on, Wi-Fi on, sound off. It's ok?
Hi,
Running a few tests here to try to nail down what is draining our batteries apart from the fact they are just low capacity.
My initial setup:
- reflashed stock 4.2.2 from google site.
- Installed stock with a few extra apps incl Kaspersky
- Turned off Currents and Google Now.
- Disabled Sync for Music, books, movies etc
- Turned off WIFI, sync, location, blutetooth (not Data, will do tomorrow).
- Charged fully and pushed button to let it sleep.
- In the morning after 8 hours the results are :
81% charge left, main usage:54% Phone idle, 40% Mobile standby, rest Android OS.
Comparing that to my HOX on 4.1.2 with similar setup it was down only to 95% (but with data off altogether).
Will report back more tests.

How much screen time do you have?
At 12:30 Am I have 18% battery (~2h music before) and screen was ON , for about 5h.
Hi and thank you for reading this...my question is sort of generic I have a nexus 10 running 4.4 ROM and a galaxy nexus (Verizon) phone running a 4.4 Rom also. (I have my favorite ROMs for each but try many here and there. Enjoy them all).
My question has to do with Google + data usage on both devices. I've noticed recently that by the end of the business day my tablet is almost drained and having my phone on between 6 am and 10 am, the dead battery alert is sounding.
I'm not a user of Google + other than letting it back up my pics (10 or 12 a week). When I check my battery usage Google + was somewhere in the range of 350 and 550 megabytes while every thing else is under 50 mb. When I disable g+, data usage reads a high number under the heading of 'disabled' (or uninstalled) apps but the battery is still dying.
Again I don't think this is rom specific. Is any one else experiencing this? Is it a bug in 4.4+?
Thanks again...
