Yeah they said 2-3 I attached my paypal debit card a and checking account so it should verify quicker I guess.

All Nexus 7 come with the Transformers movie?

I just ordered the Nexus 7 today and was just curious if the movie was only to pre-ordered tablets or if it came with every purchase.

No, it doesn't show up til you activate the tablet.
Took a couple of minutes to show up on mine, as soon as I did the OTA update to 4.1.1

No, everyone gets it. Doesn't matter where you purchase it, instore, from google, pre-order or not.

Sorry to revive this old topic but instead of making a new one this one actually fits my bill, I am about to buy a nexus 7 next week and I would like to know if I buy it this month do I still get the $25 google play credit and the movie and books?

That is my biggest fear since I live in Brazil, so I am thinking of asking my parents in the USA to buy the Nexus 7 activate it there for me and buy what I want then whenever it arrives in Brazil I would not have any region specific problems.

Well It's not like it's a stellar movie so I don't really care much

Is there any way to watch it on a computer? I assume its streaming, so it would likely know what device you're using.

If I remember after reading a recent androidcommunity story it depends on the region you live in. I believe North America is Transformers 3 and Europe and the like got ice age and a TV show of some sort.

Store credit

Hallo,
I'm sorry if this had been asked allready, but i can't find out how ho search only the nexus 7 forum with the xda app.
I just got my nexus. A friend bought it for me in the Google store online while she was with family in the usa. The box was completly sealed. When i signed in, there was another gmail adress mentioned. I thought that was weired, but figured it probably was a Google employee. But now i see that i don't have the store credit and i'm afraid that someone else ook it from me. Or is that offer not available anymore? She ordered it last friday, august 10.

When the N7 is ordered online, you're asked to provide a Google account and it's associated with that account somehow. The $25 store credit winds up getting given to that account.
Since you had a friend purchase it on your behalf, I would expect that your friend inadvertently received the $25 credit.

Aah i see. Well her aunt payed tot it. Do she probably has the credit then. I'll see if i can fix it. I don't think she uses an android device actually, do she can't do anything with the money.

Still, you shouldn't feel disappointed, OP, as the price of the Nexus 7 has gone down around 50$ since we early adapters got our hands on one.

Correct me, but i think you get a free movie, a few books and 2 songs for free.. Idk if its still present, but i got them when i bought my 32GB 3g.. ^^

You guys are mixing up the free gift with google wallet and the free gift from nexus 7 purchases.
The gift with google wallet was indeed ten bucks.
The gift with nexus 7 was 25 bucks.
Both have now stopped.

The 10$ credit wasn't linked to the 7, it was for activating Google wallet. So no, there wasn't a 10$ credit with purchase of nexus 7, there was a 25$ credit at one point.

Which, coincidentally, was explained earlier in the thread. There was never any $10 credit linked to the N7. Rather, it was only for activating the now obsolete Google Wallet prepaid card. The credit for early adopters of the N7 was a $25 Play Store credit, which ended 30 Sep 2012.

I'm about to buy one and ask to be sent at my friend's house in Little Rock, AR. She coming to Brazil in the end of June, and would bring it to me. Since I'll go to NY in July, I thought it was good to have the phone for a time, and if needed try and get replaced (hopefully won't need it, *cross fingers*).
Of course, I'll ask her to see look out for the most obvious problemas, upped corners, gaps, cracked glasses.
Anyway, are those gift cards transferable? Or does any one have a code?
