Can anybody tell me if that simplistic control can be flash on defy mb525 cm7?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029712
And if yes, what I should flash? Odex or deodex? I'm sorry if I'm wrong but I don't know if it's only for touchwiz or work also on another interface. And another one. I should move those two apk with permissions in system/app Before or after flashing?

You can either do it manually using the link above or you can flash the top download from the stock .340 themes post.
This is located in the themes section under the themes for stock rom 2.3.340
http://www.mediafire.com/file/p3ccpixxqfp3qsx/2.3.340Deodex.zip
Is this the actual ROM? I may have worded this wrong...

That's my 2.3.340 deodex zip. It only includes deodexed apks and a script to remove the leftover .odex files. It is not a complete rom.
Hi...im looking for settings.apk with coloured menu icons ???
I try to extract some zips and taking settings.apk then i copy it to system/app, i change permissions and doesn't works...
I used to do this on froyo roms and working,, but on miks v6.5.7 dont works??
Any help, please????

Manually messing with files is a complete wrong approach to theming CM7-based ROMs. Look up some theme manager howto. More stuff can be done via metamorphs in case this is not enough for you.

I want to run the stock rom which is odexed. This mod is a must. I will donate to the person that puts this together for me.

That version is (deodexed). I need odexed, but thanks.

Yeah, I don't think that's possible, b/c I'm pretty sure you have to deodex to decompile and recompile the framework.apk an other system apks that need modding... may be wrong though.
Why not run a deodexed system?

In that thread someone mentions that nottach did a 1% Mod for a HKTW version of Android that would supposedly work with odexed systems, but I never actually found any posts verifying it. There was a link included, so it's there if you're inclined to look.
I was looking for this mod for an odexed system too, but in the end I just decided to flash a deodexed system.img. Since I was trying to keep my phone as "stock" as possible I was reluctant, but with how many mods are designed for deodexed systems it just seemed like the best thing to do.
You can always flash a recovery from an odexed backup, which I have done with no issues.
I've had a look on various forums incl here, and using Airdroid I can access all areas of my phone, but I'm dammed if I can see where the stock wallpapers are stored on it, can someone tell me the definitive file location so I can grab & snag please.
Phone is unlocked and not carrier specific
Sys ver 45.0.2310.MB526.Retail.en.GB
Built in wallpapers are inside framework-res.apk,
you'll have to decompile it to get the wallpapers.

I'll check now, hopefully the Defy plus will be the same.
Fraid not, I've decompiled and looked in every single directory at every single file (there's a lot) no wallpapers though
Anyone else know ?
Can you post ur framework-res.apk?
Ill take a look at it

Ok I have got it from System/System/Framework/framework-res.apk
Hope it's the right file
Any luck ?
I too am after the stock wallpapers for the Defy+ so I downloaded the framework-res.apk file and only found 1 that matched what was on my phone. I've attached the one that matched (green bubbles) plus 2 other files that were contained in the various folders.
Ended up downloading the full rom for the Defy+ MB256 and found the wallpapers contained in the BlurHome.apk file. Also extracted and saved them into a .rar file as well.
Download - BlurHome.apk
Download - Motorola Defy+ MB256 Default Wallpapers.rar

Motorola Defy+ stock wallpapers
Please can you upload that wallpaper 00118.jpg for me,i tryed really hard to get this after i upgraded to CM10 Nightly.
And i can not download your rar-file,the link donĀ“t work for it.

is there a tool that can take from clockworkmod files and copy to sdcard then deodex files and move to system
I think that this is the wrong section to post this question, but anyways, I'm pretty sure it's not possible to do that.

Deodex your ROM without using pc:
Make a flashable zip of your deodexed system apps and framework!!
It works for me!!
Use the updater script to delete your .odex files and overwrite deodexed apps and frame to your system...
Voila!
Sent with a pinch of love, 2 cups of cuteness, 3 eggs of happiness with a garnish of spit!
Flash a deodexed stock rom in CWM
