Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.
I installed CM10.1 within 5 minutes of opening the box and forgot to backup.
Anyways when I make calls using speaker phone the other person doesn't hear me clearly (been told it sounds like I'm under water or robotic like almost). Not sure if this is CM10.1 or just the phone.
I am thinking about returning it for a new one. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Return your phone to stock and then check the speaker
You can use the forums search function in the development section to learn more about it. But honestly, if you don't know about ODIN already, I'm not sure why you are doing anything to your phone in the first place.

Bud yes I know what ODIN is. Your response was limited. I am currently away on business and will have access to ODIN tomorrow. My question was to see if anyone else has had the same issue.

I told you where to look to find the answer. And from YOUR limited response "Odin stock?? Not sure what you mean" I assumed you didn't know what ODIN was and let you know that you probably want to familiarize yourself with it before you do anything else that could ness up your phone.
If you don't want answers, don't ask questions.
And people wonder why they don't get help.

Yea, sorry about that, I guess was just too lazy too, wont happen again tho.
And thanks!
I thought it was working for a second, but it happened again.
I noticed tho, it only happens when I get a missed call, thats seems to be the problems with most of the 2.1 ROMS that I tried, any idea on whats going on?

Sounds like you were trying to revert back to stock. I assume the stuff you are talking about is yellow. If so try to use odin again.
The obvious question to me is, did you try Odin again after it failed? Logic would suggest that if Odin failed I'd have to do it again.

This as well as learning to use Google instead of posting a thread on a forum.
It is because of your tar file on odin.it was two small.try re odin ing it with a tar file of 255 mb or something like that.happened to me before too when I was a super noob but fear not you'll eventually become less of a noob too as time passes

So we are supposed to write out a detailed explanation to each one of these duplicate threads? I think not. This forum is out of control with this kind of ****. Oh, and talking about being helpful, it's reassuring to see that out of your 321 posts you have been thanked exactly zero times.

Using google first saves you time because its an immediate response, it saves everyone else time having to an a simple question, and it saves our forums from being cluttered. I said nothing rude and I would have answered his question had it not already been answered (which I highlighted with my quote and saying "this"). If you want to respond to my adult advice and response by acting childish, that is your prerogative but I will continue to post help to those who made an effort to get it.
thats i guess meh cool but a simple reply/explaination would have been "flash odin again" instead of repeating the long rant over and over again too. maybe its jus best to leave this place altogether

Maybe before voiding your warranty and messing with your $500 phone you should do some research and be prepared for the plethora of things that can go wrong.

I believe his point was, however, that before one starts an endeavor that can break a piece of $500 hardware one should generally make sure they understand all of the possible outcomes and how to deal with them which he pointed out that you didn't. He could have said it in a more polite manner but he was correct.
I have ben to this screen when my odin got interupted. Pull the battery for a couple minutes. Hold down the one key on the keyboard and then power on while holding it. This puts you in download mode. Odin back to stock.

It appears I have one thanks or maybe I cant count. More than likely since I dont cry about wanting thanks that could be it. The purpose of a forum is to get help. Regardless if the answer could be found on google the forum would not need to exist. I am on one forum and it is the most mature forum there is. I see question repeated over and over again. Even in this case people still answer it like it was asked the first time. If all forums were like that, forums would be a much better place.

LOL what'd you do, pm someone and ask them to thank you? You def had zero when I posted that. You're right, forums are here for help. It is however a two way street. It seems clear that you think it's one way though. You are clearly here to be helped and not TO help.

I do not understand why it is difficult to simply search for an answer. If you cannot find the answer, then post and people will help. As I've stated I do very often provide detailed explanations to people even to those who had not searched for the answer however I always add that in the future they should seek out the answer on their own first. His question had been answered and as such I stated that he should try and figure things out on his own. I have never begged for a "Thanks" and I could care less about them but I have spent hours of my time helping others fix issues and there are many people who can attest to that. Leatherneck has done the same, in fact he has even helped me a few times that I can think of in recent history. On the other hand, the only posts I've seen from you are complaints about other users or asking other users for help. The point of these forums is to allow a place for developers to gather and together fix and hack away at new phones and such, not to aid in every little personal disaster. That is why it is a FORUM RULE to search. A rule for which violators can receive infringements or even bans. By telling people to search, I am not telling them to shut up I am showing people how to be an active member of this community and if you cannot grasp that then your place here is very limited.
Nom glad to help.why you ask you said thank you

well i'm in big trouble it looks like, i followed this video into a huge mess where now my phone won't load past the white AT&T screen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H_gBP5Dd_8
phone was rooted fine, DLed goomanager, followed the instructions and then in the recovery screen i chose "power off" thinking i could just turn it back on
WRONG
I followed it perfectly up to 3:00, and then i chose the reboot/power off options. And bricked.....not really sure how that happened, but help would be greatly appreciated.

alright thanks i'm going to wait a little bit to see if anyone else has any other options....this is pretty crazy, how do you follow a video perfectly and have success at every step and then it bricks?
I've done this before... I didn't do anything wrong, stuff just happens. Can you boot into recovery? Try a wipe if you can. If not, you'll just have to restore with Odin.

Simple don't follow a bloody video. Read and learn about what your doing before you do it. Most videos are out dated and don't give you the needed info incase something goes wrong.
Also a heads up. Asking for help fast does no good as this is not a support forum.

That was a little harsh.
Video's are IMO, a good idea. If you don't know what you're doing, then follow instructions. So, the OP did good IMO.
That video is only a couple weeks old and is for the Galaxy S4.
I didn't watch it (no sound card) but it doesn't matter now.
OP, what does happen when you press the volume up + power + home button to get into the recovery?
Did you try pulling the battery for 30+ seconds yet?
You should not be seeing a white AT&T screen at any time. You should be booting into recovery, where you will then flash a new ROM.
Well, I mean it shouldn't have killed your current ROM. But that could be a separate issue.
If you can get into recovery, then just toss a ROM onto your external SD card if you have one.
If not, then use ADB push to push a ROM onto your internal SD where you can then flash it.
Or, Odin back to stock.

Telling people to read in this forum is futile. It only gets you called names like do*che and d*ck. Kenny knows, he had to clean up a response to my post telling someone they needed to do some reading. It's sickening how lazy people are these days. But it's the truth. You won't learn anything by being spoon fed the info. Sometimes the best answer to give someone is to just read. This isn't a support center. It's a development forum. People need to learn the basics on their own. Zelendel said it best in his legendary post. And if I could find it right now I would link to it.
And if you're gonna follow a video, try one that was made by someone like AdamOutler, not some rando with a random website.

There was a ROM here that was posted about 1-2 weeks back. It sounded great but I don't remember what it was called. A user here posted his story about asking the dev if he could port it over to the s4 and did so. I however, cannot for the life of me find that thread again. Although I still cannot put a custom recovery on my device, I would like to at least keep up with the news on this particular rom. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or can direct me to the ROM itself, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks =)

@f3liC. It's back in general forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44974492
A friend of mine gave me a flex to fix.. At first, it was rooted and had a custom ROM on it. Something from mii.com. anyway. The only version it would accept is d955 so I put that on it. Imei and baseband were unknown so I put d950 on it somehow. Now, the imei and baseband are showing but it still will not accept a Sim.*I've even tried editing build prop operator to OPEN... Nothing. I'm losing hope...When I put a Sim in, it doesn't detect and the radio says service state: radio off. When I pull the Sim out, it tells me to put a valid Sim in...
What can I do?

No, all you want is to be spoon fed. That's why you made 40 posts on the same topic and you're still stuck. You don't want to help yourself, you treat this place like a tech support centre and you give people attitude above it all.
Let me make one thing clear. No one has to help you. If you think you can just come here and get the geeks to do your homework for you then you're dreaming. Search, read and be respectful and then even the devs might help you.
@peachpuff I admire your patience.

If you think I've been having an attitude i apologize, but I categorize myself as a geek as well so it's a little offensive. Anyway, I'm a little new to all of this - I've made TWO threads because the first was going no where quickly. I don't wanna be spoonfed, I just want help - I can't find the modem files for the Flex anywhere - I've tried flashing a lot. A lot. I've gotten far thanks to all the help from you guys which I am very thankful for. I apologize, I'm just frustrated...been trying to get this thing to work for over a month now....any help is always appreciated. I plan on donating (if possible) to who ever helps once its fixed.
Thanks..

I don't think you need a modem. Your phone is locked to at&t. There are services that unlock them like this. It'll be good if you can try someone else's at&t sim first. But that's what I think since your phone works properly except for your sim problem

Have tried, my friend has tried his straight talk Sim which he said runs off of att? Is that true? Is the entire reason the radio is off because its network locked? If it were true, wouldn't it say out of service, not radio off????
