I don't know if this is a known issue or not, but it is surely concerning. I am attempting to upgrade my ROM to one of the WM6 ROMs and while trying to identify the version of my bootloader, I realized that my unit is not responding to the reset button. I am not able to perform a soft, hard or even bring up the Bootloader screen (PWR+CAM+Reset buttons).
Am I overlooking something really stupid here? Has anyone else come across this issue before?
Thanks,
tocarv

Maybe a hardware problem with the reset hole button?
Not exactly the reply I was hoping for... I really do appreciate your reply. I was starting to think that my question was so rediculous that nobody would even be willing to answer.
It seems I'll be studying the instructions to disassemble the P3600 a little more carefully this weekend!

I recently just bought the HTC Evo Shift and so far am very pleased with it, except for one thing.. when i ever slide it im always pushing up/down on my volume rocker and its annoying.. i was wondering if there is a way i can disable this or if someone out there can make me a flashable zip file to disable it lol.. thanks guys!!!
Been discussed already. Check previous threads. I believe the final answer was to just learn to stop pushing them all the time.
^ Shift Faced
haha sadly enough I think that is right. I did notice after I got a case it happened to me less often since there was a small ledge aroung the rocker.
I think someone may have suggested something from the market that could do it? not sure.
Edit: here it is, it didn't take me long to find it... and it was almost the exact same Thread Name as yours.

I am an ignorant fool who doesn't know how to use the search function.
Just ignore me.
*hides face in shame*
If you are having a issue or not sure of what a problem might be it is always smart to ask. All you have to do is state your problem as specific as you can and usually someone will get back to you fairly soon. There is no reason to hide your face in shame xda is here to help people... twrp is a common issue with many people and I know that with all of the posts out there it is sometimes hard to tell what fixed and did not fix an issue... Hold your head up high you got more balls than most for at least trying and who knows maybe even succeeding...!
I see you shamefully found your own answer but I'd like to point out that quick boot from the market works on the kf and is a very easy way to reboot straight into recovery without having to mess with firefire.
Hello,
I hope my explanation is good enough to understand my problem:
When I am typing on the hardware-keyboard, I often get stuck at the edge of button "A".
This happens likely after pressing "Shift" and sliding my finger towards "A" or the middle of the keyboard.
It seems that the edge of the button "A" is not smooth or flat enough and probably the overlapping between "shift" and "A" increases this problem.
With overlapping I mean this:
Alt.......A
_____|___|
¯¯¯¯¯¯|
Shift
Has anybody else had this problem while typing? Or is there a fix to avoid bending the edge of the button over and over?
Thanks for any help!

PS: I am posting this here, not in Q&A, because I think that there is no simple answer for this.
No problem here, but I have sometimes more than one letter with one pressing of the key. Like ... Milessstonne
And ... I have now CM72 and QERTY instead of QWERTZ!
Dunno which ROM are you using, so I dunno if that is right solution for you - but did you try Keyboard debouncer from M2T? It solve this problem, especially the "doublepress" issue.
I had this issue also. Everytime I was writing something, it looked like this:
Helllo, how aare yyoou...
etc. It was terrible, but KB Debouncer solved it (and it should solve stuck issue also)
Just give it a try if you can. And if you can't, then consider trying another ROM, because for me this was quite annoying issue
You got my problem wrong.
My finger always gets stuck at the key edge.
It is no software issue or semething like that.
Ahh... I should read more carefully. Sorry both of you. My mistake
I don't have problem, you described, but the keyboard is a lot worse, than on my old 9500 Communicator - but hey, there was more space on 9500, than on M2, so no complains
I am just afraid that I damage my "A" button some day
Weird that this problem isn't more common.
Maybe I just have some sort of assembly fault with my keyboard.
My old HTC Hermes was also equipped with a "better" keyboard but it was also a real big rock of a phone

Hello xda. I searched and searched but didn't find someone with the same problem as me. If there is an existing thread, would you please direct me to it and close this one? Alright so for Christmas i got a 32gb nexus 7. it worked great for the first few months. in the last 2-3 weeks though, it was become unusable. it has a weird issue where it doesn't register my touches, and no its not a sensitivity issue, I got it to load a multhitouch counter app thing, and in the upper right corner, it randomly thinks its touching there (its completely random, but it does it more often than not). so when i try to touch something i want, the screen just spazes. and it spazes if i just unlock it and let it sit. i can't even use the tablet anymore. its not a software issue (im not 100% sure but pretty sure) because i managed to reboot into recovery and it freaked out and clicked a bunch of things (touch CWM) and just completely freaked out. so now i just leave my tablet off and let it sit there. i am debating returning it to google as a defect, but i thought id go to xda first. thanks to anyone who helps me. if you need anymore details dont hesitate to ask, i probably forgot some anyways:silly:
Before you send it back to Google go into the bootloader and do 'fastboot oem lock'

yeah if i send it back im definitely going to do a factory reset im just nervous that they wont buy the "factory defect" aspect because of a few minor scratches on the screen
