deleted important apks with titanium - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know. I am retarded. I deleted the first two fonts and the first gallery apk (alphabetically) judging by the icons. Can anybody back them up and email them to me? Or better yet, back up all of the factory system apps and email them to me (who knows what I deleted). Any help seriously appreciatd.

That would be the easiest route, but have you thought of backing up your personal info and flashing a stock rom or factory resetting? I wouldn't want to goto that extreme, but if all else fails just another option.

I tried factory resetting. Didn't fix my problem. I have no problem flashing a stock rom, but I couldn't find one for tmobile.

Er, found a T-Mobile rom in the specialty T-Mobile S4 forum, I didn't know there was one. Problem fixed.

[RESOLVED] DL09 Rom Broken Email

I posted about this previously IN another thread, but I would like to start a formal topic about it, since I can't find any relevant information anywhere else.
After updating my Fascinate to DL09 per all instructions, the built in email app stopped working as it normally should. It now only sits on a black screen, does not force close, but says it's working fine and refuses to do anything. It only allows you to compose an email (That will not send, just sits in outbox) or view the account settings.
I've tried flashing DL01, DL05, and DL09 restores (via ODIN), and nothing seems to be getting the email back to a functional state, it is having the same issue under all 3 builds (and multiple custom ROMs). I'm more then happy (and able) to refurbish my Fascinate and start anew, but I'd like to figure out what the underlying issue is before I have to resort to that.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Best guess? DNS server issue. That said, installing a fresh ROM should have resolved anything but a data issue. But you probably already wiped data when you put on a known good ROM. And you probably already did a nandroid restore. If you could have forwarded all of your email to a gmail account and skirted the issue, you would have done that as well. So what does that leave? Titanium backup your favorite [user] apps and take captures of your home screen. Odin/heimdall everything with fallingup's stock or adrnalyne's mega Di01 odin.
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.

Suggestions Appreciated.
Actually, I hadn't thought to try my nandroid backup, but I'm doing that right now.
On top of that, Didn't actually have Titanium installed, and Odin'd everything I could find online. Hopefully restoring to a known-good nandroid will work. And as for the DNS issue, I did think about that, but It had literally been working minutes before odin-ing to DL09, which makes me think that if it was a DNS issue, we might be seeing more threads pop up about other things not potentially working.
Again, seriously appreciate those suggestions, trying what I can right now.
EDIT: Nandroid restore from the 25th worked. Thank god I hadn't done much in a week that wasn't saved onto the SD card.
Thank you so much for the suggestion, I don't know that I would have thought about it.

[Q] Market Apps Persistently Unlinked After Root

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. This is the first time I've posted.
I recently rooted my Epic 4g with the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770388
and then used the "update.zip method" to fix Clockwork Recovery found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782300
Looking back, I suppose that was somewhat redundant, but there is nothing to indicate major system damage to me yet.
However, I am having a rather annoying issue that's causing me a lot of stress. All of my apps have come unlinked from the app market. Titanium Backup's market doctor finds "no recoverable market link" and even after I relink them myself by re-downloading them in the market, they come unlinked in a matter of minutes. It's pretty annoying and I'm eager for a fix.
What would cause this behavior? Did I **** something up in the rooting process? Is there anyone else out there experiencing this? I will be so greatful to anyone who can help me solve this problem.
I'm beginning to regret that I rooted my phone in the first place, which is kind of pathetic. What did I do wrong?
If you are on any rom try reflashing it after wiping system data through clockwork if that doesn't work then try using odin. If the problem still persists your FINAL option is to take it to the sprint store

I unrooted the phone after I ran into big slowdowns in network speed and overall performance while trying to re-download all my apps for the third time and that fixed both my issues.
Thanks for the response, btw. I'm not running any custom ROM, just Stock 2.1.1, but I assume those options could still work, although It would result in having to download my apps agin, wouldn't it? Also, what would I say if I took it to the Sprint store?
The upshot of all this is that I still have clockwork recovery, so last night I made a backup of my non-root image to revert back to if I have the same problem next time I tempt fate and try the root again. That's how it'd work, right?

[Q] Google Apps not working, even after reinstalling and restoring.

So I rooted my Intercept yesterday, and I read atleast 10 threads on items safe for removal. However AFTER deleting google talk I stumbled across a forum post informing me I was screwed. Gmail and the Market will not work now. I tried reinstalling google apps 3 times, and also hard reseting my phone atleast 5 times to no avail. I am not sure what to do now. What can I do to fix this? Would flashing it with the stock image work? I am not opposed to flashing it with something custom, I just dont know if that would work seeing as though a hard reset wouldnt work. I am at a loss. I have spent countless hours searching, and everyone else seemed to fix their problem but I was unable to. Maybe I need samsung intercept vm apps dump from someone to restore ALL original apps in case I deleted something else as well? I know....my noob mistake for being cocky and not dooing a backup myself. Please help me.

[Q] Evo and Metro- oil and water?

Hi there, new guy here. Last week I bought an evo from a guy and that same guy flashed over the evo to metro for me. So just like a lot of people here I am having some problems and I'm also looking for some advice.
First of all I don't know what rom he used... I know that I have superuser on the phone. The version of phone I have I believe I have is 2.2 (?)
Is superuser a flash, root, or rom? How would I find out which root I have? He didn't mention it to me. All he said was don't download any apps that require "superuser permissions"
Here is what is working-sms, youtube app, wifi, internet w/ and w/o wifi, market, email, gmail and yahoo, receive photos
And here is what is not - voicemail notification, mms, can't send photos, gps forces the phone to reset many times, so navigator/ maps causes reset. Not to mention that the phone will reset several times throughout every other day. Also getting the data error.
Called the guy and he said that he would reflash the evo for free this time. He also suggested doing a factory reset, that might fix the constant resetting I am having. I read online that some task manager apps can cause the phone to reset when gps is on.
Any help in all of the above is appreciated. Should I have him reflash it? Should I attempt this myself? Not knowing what rom I have right now is the hardest part for me right now.
Again thanks for the help.
ROM info is in the settings/about phone/software
To factory reset: settings/sd & phone storage
Superuser just let you give an app permission to access root or block it.
I would do the factory reset if your having reboots. More ROM info would probably help us out with your problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795182
Im not 100% sure of.metro.pcs hack or wtv that they do for the Evo but that rom.has everything working download the metrodroid (latest version ) , put it in your sd card , go to recovery mode and wipe , data, dalvik, cache (this will erase all your data ) and then go to.choose flash zip, look for the zip flash and hopefully the works, root ia only one it should be fully root to run it in metro pcs and I recommend you to read different topics about what root is, have fun

ok thank you. I just did what you stated and found out that my rom is bugless beast to0Mod V0.1
Any other info is appreciated, I am thinking about installing the metrodroid rom like jgalan suggested however I am plum terrified about bricking my phone. As I have never done anything like this on a phone. Only xboxs etc.
Does anyone out there know about this romthat I have If it's truly V0.1 I'm assuming its hellllla old, but I dunno. Thanks again for all of the input.
One last question how full proof is the metrodroid rom? I was doing some reading about people still having issue with stuff that I already have working currently (sms, web etc). I just don't want to open another can of worms if I can avoid it. Thanks again.

[Q] trouble after deleting data/data/com.android.providers.settings

hi guys, would really appreciate your help..
i was trying to fix my nexus 4's problem of unable to sync with google servers so i deleted the data/data/com.android.providers.settings and it indeed fixed the issue.
unfortunatley, after rebooting, i'm now:
- unable to get a lockscreen
- unable to get home button to work
- swipe down settings are gone. and so are notifications
is there another way to restore this other than a factory reset?

Factory reset wil not help, reflash a factory image or custom rom if you are rooted.

He only deleted the data so of course a factory reset will fix it this.
You will probably take ages trying to fix and end up having to wipe anyway. I take it you haven't got a backup of any sort (nandroid/ti backup) etc?

Yup, my bad. So many users wiping the entire sdcard nowadays that i took it wrong and didn`t read correctly
I thought I did but I searched my PC and couldn't find any previously backed up data. So I guess I've no choice but to factory reset and reinstall my data

Hi there! I had had the same problem l33chpda had, but the factory reset fix worked just one time only, today i was about to resell my phone so i wanted to factory reset it, after that i've come across with the problem i had that time, again.
Don't know what to do, i have same issues mentioned by l33chpda, cant get into settings, swipe down settings neither, etc; when try to, phone just do nothing or stays one second and goes back home screen.
I have made nandroid (both clockworkmod and TWRP) of the phone when I bought it, but with online nandroid so i don't have any custom recovery installed.
While checking those nandroid backups, I've discovered the deleted folder backup in the clockworkmod nandroid folder.
Could it be possible to paste it back into "\data\data" folder? should that be the fix? Or I'll have to reflash all even though I dont wanna take that risk because is just that, the other things of the phone are intact and work great.
In case of reflashing, could you tell me about any easy tutorial on how to install clockworkmod recovery?
I own an LG G2 D800, KitKat d80020y rooted with stumproot.
