Most people say AOSP browser is better? Is it true?
Isnt the S4 Stock browser best for our S4s? Cause it has hardware acceleration and stuff?
Aosp has hw acceleration too. It's so smooth...

Woah, play nicely people.
The general rules for thread posting are as follows:
General Forums - For news and announcements relating to your device.
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum
Accessories subforum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the phone model
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title) - For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs and Kernels including modifications to Kernels, Bootloaders, ROMs, etc.
Themes and Apps Forums - For themers to post Themes and App. announcements & discussions including modifications made to Apps and Themes
Edit: After reviewing it all, i've actually decided to move this thread to general, as it doesn't actually really involve App/Theme development discussion, rather a debate about two unedited applications.
Sorry
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards

Hi,
It seems all the custom ROMs are using the TouchWiz interface. Is anybody looking to maintain a ROM which does not have the TouchWiz launcher and Samsung mail apps etc?
Personally, I find the standard Google launcher, monochrome menus and standard mail app much nicer than the TW version, however there are interesting apps like the video player and updated kernel, drivers etc I would like to take advantage of.
I know there are plenty of other people who also do not like the TW experience, but it seems that all the ROMs in the sticky above have all chosen to take on TouchWiz.
Thanks,
Neil.

Nope'. They claim they are not intending to maintain two ROMs. They have updated their TW ROM and not their non-TW ROM.
Blazar by Poitie?

Is the final Bonsai non-TW rom that buggy?
Questions or Problems Should Not Be Posted in the Development Forum
Please Post in the Correct Forums and Read THIS
Moving to General
You wouldn't even have to use the search function to see this post on the front page of the development section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200387
And, not that I'm a mod, but clearly Questions should go to the Q&A section

That's because somebody put a post in there, I do know how to use a search thanks, and I do understand how a forum works. I'll try that ROM thanks.
I put the post in the Development section as it was a question to developers or maintainers of ROMs. I didn't realise this forum is so hard faced about 100% of questions absolutely having to be placed in the Q&A section, even when the topic is relevant to the section.
Might be worth updating the ROMs sticky in the development section to note that Blazar has a Non-TW option.
HI,
I am new on this forum.
I would like to know which rom is best for the galaxy note 10.1 gt-n8013.It shouldnt have many bugs.
thanks
bye
Their is no best .
Custom roms are all described and bugs are reported in the threads .
jje
I think it's not allowed to make a thread like this. You have to read the features of the roms and try. You can see the popularity of the roms by its views . But there can be good new roms with not many clicks. Just try.

The one from the factory is the best.
What don't you like about it or what is it that you want to do that it can't do?
.
Its a bit laggy, thats the main reason.
Do you know whether android 4.4 will be released on the note gt-n8013
Thanks
Bye

Plenty of roms .
Suggest you install the one that you understand how to .
Nandroid backup allows you to try them all .

Or... just root it and flash a custom kernal to overclock the stock rom... its pretty snappy when overclocked!

As it has been already mentioned, there is no best rom so it is just stupid to try to find one. You can try many and then decide what suits you better.
Also, please use the appropriate sections, all the questions go to Q&A.
Thread closed.
As the title suggests, I was wondering if there are any efforts in porting Tassadar's MultiRom solution to the various variants of the Galax Note 3. I saw a guy on the official maintainer thread saying that he might want to try porting it, but never heard of him again.
There are some solutions already that only work to a certain extent like Safe Strap, which won't allow you to dual boot AOSP and TW ROMs. Then there is the Dual boot patcher, which, as of now, doesn't work on most Note 3 ROMs, while the app crashes on patching the zip file. Please feel free to use this thread for discussion and updates regarding this topic. It's a shame that such a great device doesn't have this great option. Almost every mainstream device has a port of Tassadar's MultiRom. With 32GB of internal storage, it'd be just awesome.
Apologies (if) for repost.
still nothing?
No, unfortunately =(

Hello to everyone, I'm new in rooting and flashing but I tried sometimes. Now I'm on stock lollipop 5.0 I tried unroot as I saw on you tube but I can't get ota updates anymore even after wipe data reset etc. My fingerprint scanner is not working and also the camera is blacked sometimes. I wanna ask if I can solve all this and also if there is a fast and smooth rom with no problems. I read something about the zombie rom which is like s6. I hate touchwiz and maybe the new one is better. Can anyone give some advise?

Try wiping and flashing a stock rom in Odin. As for fast and smooth roms, the fastest roms are usually CyanogenMod or it's forks. I wouldn't recommend Zombie rom, as it has some basic bugs which need to be ironed out. And it's still running standard S5 touchwiz (plus some nice S6 mods and apps).
Basically if you want a stable, fast and non-touchwiz rom CM is the way to go.
Otherwise it's all very individual and depends on how you use your device, so the best way to know is to try for yourself. Threads about the "best rom" are usually forbidden. Also, since you say that you're a newbie I highly recommed to take some time to read ALL OF THE STICKY THREADS in each section of the S5 forum. Reading them usually helps A LOT. :good:
Please Post All Questions In The Q&A Section.
They do not belong in the General Section.
If you are missing your threads, this is probably why.
They will be moved or closed depending on their material
PS. Do not post a new thread in Q&A, instead this thread will be moved by site staff.

After trying lots of ROMs 5.1.1 and 6 that didn't make me happy I'm back on stock 5.0.1 which was the last release for my phone. I like it the best since it's the only ROM that hasn't major bugs and it remains fast over time where the custom ROMs suffer from major lag after time and weird crashes I do not experience in the stock ROM.
I would like however to get rid of all the bloatware.
Is there a stock ROM which is optimised and debloated? I don't seem to find one and I've looked around believe me.
Hope anyone has a good tip.
Sorry bro,can't help you but
There is a rule where you shouldn't post "what ROM to chose"
So your thread needs to be closed

I don't think you actually can ask people for these kind of stuff on the Original Android forum.. This need to be asked in General Stuff i think or its just not asked and try yourself or in the ROM forums itself to ask how stock it is i dont know.
Ok thanks
Mods will move this thread to Q&A shortly, but if you're looking for customized stock ROMs, you want to look in the Development subforums, instead of the ORIGINAL Android Development subforums.
