Custom rom for gt-n8013 - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

HI,
I am new on this forum.
I would like to know which rom is best for the galaxy note 10.1 gt-n8013.It shouldnt have many bugs.
thanks
bye

Their is no best .
Custom roms are all described and bugs are reported in the threads .

I think it's not allowed to make a thread like this. You have to read the features of the roms and try. You can see the popularity of the roms by its views . But there can be good new roms with not many clicks. Just try.

The one from the factory is the best.
What don't you like about it or what is it that you want to do that it can't do?
.

Its a bit laggy, thats the main reason.
Do you know whether android 4.4 will be released on the note gt-n8013
Thanks
Bye

Plenty of roms .
Suggest you install the one that you understand how to .
Nandroid backup allows you to try them all .

Or... just root it and flash a custom kernal to overclock the stock rom... its pretty snappy when overclocked!

As it has been already mentioned, there is no best rom so it is just stupid to try to find one. You can try many and then decide what suits you better.
Also, please use the appropriate sections, all the questions go to Q&A.

Best custom rom?

Hey guys, what is the best?
The original galaxy s phone had darkyy rom etc.
Also, what about kernels - the original had supercurios vs hardcores, what about the s2?
Im unsure about what is actually available for the galaxy s2, as i cant seem to find similar developers :/
A little help would be appreciated.

1. Everyone has a different opinion, and thankfully we already have many options to choose from.
2. Too early to tell but the dev work so far has been really amazing. Partly due to Samsung and their brilliant approach to custom Roms (basically encouraging it) and our wonderful Rom chefs who (with the help of many others) are doing an incredible job.
Just start going down the list and try them one at a time... some (if not most) you won't even have to wipe your phone to try.
Welcome to the SGSII world.

Omega is always a good starting point but don't just try roms. There are quite a few mods you can install regardless of rom just make sure the base matches .
Anyway hope you enjoy your new phone !

Each ROM is a little bit different.. read the OPs.. the features, the tweaks.. see which one YOU like!

Go root it and flash CWM.
Once your done download my ROM and try it out and tell me how you like it.
Closed, I recommend reading some threads in the development section there is also a thread in the general section that lists available roms and mods/etc, "What's the best rom" or "What roms should I try threads" are OT and not needed.
Also post questions in the Q and A section in future.

Looking for a ROM

I have a HTC One and I have been looking for the perfect ROM
I am after a ROM that:
Will remove bloatware, and give me the option of what I want/don't want installed on there
Will improve battery life
something that looks different from the stock look, I like the rayglobe ROMS (too much crap on them though)
IF someone could give me some advice, I would be grateful
Thanks
Every Rom is good. One way or another. Thread will be locked soon.

U beat me to it lol!
OP try them all mate! everyone on here is better than stock with its own optimisations and bloatware removed. also check out the themes section if you want a different look
new look no bloatware, try this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356654
or any other GE rom.. hope that helps!
Well
If you want different from stock then you can try the GE roms. Many roms offer both Sense and GE variations so try out the different GE roms around the forum. Might also want to change your kernel

Galaxy s5 roms

Hello to everyone, I'm new in rooting and flashing but I tried sometimes. Now I'm on stock lollipop 5.0 I tried unroot as I saw on you tube but I can't get ota updates anymore even after wipe data reset etc. My fingerprint scanner is not working and also the camera is blacked sometimes. I wanna ask if I can solve all this and also if there is a fast and smooth rom with no problems. I read something about the zombie rom which is like s6. I hate touchwiz and maybe the new one is better. Can anyone give some advise?

Try wiping and flashing a stock rom in Odin. As for fast and smooth roms, the fastest roms are usually CyanogenMod or it's forks. I wouldn't recommend Zombie rom, as it has some basic bugs which need to be ironed out. And it's still running standard S5 touchwiz (plus some nice S6 mods and apps).
Basically if you want a stable, fast and non-touchwiz rom CM is the way to go.
Otherwise it's all very individual and depends on how you use your device, so the best way to know is to try for yourself. Threads about the "best rom" are usually forbidden. Also, since you say that you're a newbie I highly recommed to take some time to read ALL OF THE STICKY THREADS in each section of the S5 forum. Reading them usually helps A LOT. :good:
Please Post All Questions In The Q&A Section.
They do not belong in the General Section.
If you are missing your threads, this is probably why.
They will be moved or closed depending on their material
PS. Do not post a new thread in Q&A, instead this thread will be moved by site staff.

im your average user really ...
im using NORMA right now the battery is 50 50 on it...i want something fast with a good battery really....
Battery backup is more or less same on ALL the ROMs. When I say ROMs I mean TW based ROMs obviously.
If you want to extend it use Xposed modules like Amplify, Greenify, Power Nap or those kinds. Really not interested in those things, but you can always do a Google search.
By the way, this post belongs to Q&A section. Why post in under Development section!!!
I've used a lot of roms. Cm 12.1 had the best battery life. But you lose all touch wiz features, like multi window, but some can be acquired through apps. I would suggest getting CM 12.1 straight from the source. Look on YouTube for a tutorial. All of these roms are based on Cm 12.1 or Touch Wiz. So for the most part their all the same. Different skins, different clock speeds, different wallpapers, different themes, but underneath their the same.
Try miui 7, I think it's got better battery than tw or cm rom. It was one of the features of miui 7. Really smooth too.

Ask devs to move this ****
the best rom for good battery life were Miui 7 (Bhflower's version) or Darklord v2.2 (note 4 port rom) :highfive:
