[Q] Deodexed recent ROM ? (XXMC2) - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hello,
I've tried to search the forum, but I only found customed ROM. It seems the latest ROM is XXCM2 (Changelist 1230243) for Europeans: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-S5360
I'd like someone skilled to apply the basic stuff to this ROM. I guess the base is to deodex the ROM and make it a CWM package. Maybe it will need a % Battery mod too.
After that, everyone would be able to customize the ROM (remove bloatware with applications like link2sd or Root App Delete/uninstaller).
For now, on forum I see only custom ROM without stock UI (often ugly) and often it's not precised on which official ROM it is based, and it seems that most of these developers/cookers don't use the latest Samsung firmware as base...
If someone skilled can help, thanks in advance, else I'll give up with this phone.

only if you want to edit smali files you need to deodex, and for removing stock bloatware it isn't needed.

[Q] Returning to Gingerbread

Hello,
You'll have to excuse my relative anonymity with regards to Android. I've always been a BlackBerry user and I've recently switched to a Note and couldn't be happier, but I know little about ROM's, development and so on.
I've rooted my Note and loaded a Custom ROM - imilka's CyanogenMod9, which has been working fantastically. However, I do miss some of the stock TouchWiz applications like S Memo and S Planner. Also, I'd like to return to Gingerbread and simply wait for the official ICS update from Samsung. Custom ROM's are nice and efficient, but for daily use I'm starting to think a stock ROM might be better for me.
My question is, how can I return to the latest stock ROM of the Note, without losing root or bricking my phone?
Thanks in advance, and I apologize if this has been covered someplace else but I couldn't find it.

[REQUEST] Android Rom

Hey guys, anyone here able to build a rom containing android Kitkat and the Halo together? It'll be awesome if there's like a build with Cm11 and Halo!
Aoson m1013
Hello Everybody
Can anyone make a nice custim rom for AOSON M1013?
Is it possible for someone to make a cwm and custom ROM for Konka V976 ?
OK this is not a requests thread. This is the forum for the Motorola Defy.
We need S7390G rom (any! custom or stock)
Hi,
We are a little group of French (& European) users, and we have a lot of troubles with our Galaxy Fresh. We tried to mod our phones a little, but we are unable to find a custom rom/stock rom/custom recovery or whatever matching with the devices. [Most of us have S7390G (and I think some have S7390E too)]
On SamMobile, the only Rom are S7390 without letters, and apparently it soft-bricked our devices.
Please we really need it, and it's a bit unfair because android users can mod their phones but us. Please, we need a S7390G stock (or custom)
 Thank you very very very much.
I know it's supposed to be a challenge for developper, and it's probably too easy, but we keep hoping.
If you want to make a good action
Or maybe we should propose you a real challenge, around the S7390G Rom, but for now, I have no ideas.
Mods could you guys close this thread?

[Q][REQ] 4.4 Minimal ROM

Hey guys I'm looking for a ROM that has just the minimal apps that keep the phone working right. (Spen/Gplay/Call+Text etc. )
I'm not looking for any super duper reskins and custom features (Maybe if there nice) or anything like that, just minimal.
The reason I'm looking for this is because I've removed the wrong apps multiple times and had to reflash my phone with is very frustrating... I know there's what to and not to remove threads but that takes to long... Ive looked through the rom section and nothing semmed to fit me (Accept CM11 wich i cant use) Maybe one of you guys has barebone minimum on your phone and could/woyld hit me up with a backup of it (Without your personal data obviously) Thank guys for any help or suggestions.
my best advice, strip the ROM yourself.
Note 3 is way too delicate for custom roms for me, i come from a lot of previous samsung phones and nearly on all of them i have used CM, but the spen framework to me is irreplaceable.
There are some scripts for Aroma that will give you a choice of apps to debloat (remove), then theres an app for windows which will re-pack the ROM without the apps you chose.
I personally, right after i flash a rom, i root, and i use a file manager and delete the stuff in /system/app and /system/priv-app
anyway, here are the links that might be useful to you

Can someone help me build a stable stock ROM?

I am planning to build my own custom stock ROM, I need help with a few things..!
1)I want to make a prerooted deodexed stock ROM - So my question is from Base ROM of the latest new build, how and where do i find that. I have an idea of how to deodex the ROM, but suggestions are welcomed. Also, if I make a new ROM, from fully stock, how do i make it prerooted with no bugs at all using the latest TWRP recovery.
a) SO, according to my thinking..I will obviously need a fully stock Marshmallow ROM with the latest build, I will root it and then copy the whole ROM to my folder and edit from that? Is that what has to be done? If no..plz assist.
2)I like to use fonts - so I want my ROM to have it pre-installed with a beautiful font
3)Battery tweak - I need some help in building a build.prop file,
4)Performance - I need to make this ROM as stable as it is stock, so i really don't mind to make the performance a little faster.
5)I wanted to also install some good theme pre-installed in my ROM, so would it be possible? if yes how to do it.
I have a basic idea on how to build a ROM, i just need someone to help me with this and whoever can help, will definitely get all the credits
a) we can definitely work together and keep building this ROM for more performance.
b)We will also try to update it with the latest builds as and when required.
SO, someone who is really willing to help are all welcomed
Hoping someone can help me build a ROM for our beloved Moto X play.

Why install a custom rom on gs7?

Hi,
This question is mostly towards the people that have already installed a custom rom on their GS7.
I have a GS7 G935F model and i was wondering why you guys choose to installed custom rom?
I'm a big fan of custom roms. I have used them in the past on my GS3 T999, because T-mobile didn't release any new updates for the phone. I saw the need to use a custom rom to be on the latest and greatest version and i switched from rom the rom to test witch one suited me best. Now with the GS7 i get frequent updates from samsung and don't see the need, but i'm still really really interested in trying one of the custom roms. So what else does a custom bring that will make me want to make that switch?

most of those frequent updates are for security propose.
custom roms enable you to unlimited experience of customization.
changing any system ui element or installing some apps that need root access and works better on custom roms usually.
but some app or mod you install on custom rom have risks to brick your phone and you need to prepare urself to repair it or search a lot to get stable ones.
:good:

Changing system ui elements or using root apps/ modules. 3 years ago u needed a custom rom for a new look and extra functionality that wasn't normally possible. Nowadays most of those things are possible. I'm searching for the things i can do now if i choose to install a custom rom. Things i could really use.
Which root apps or modules do u use on your phone?
