Hi!
Sounds foolish, but 'connect as USB storage' option in more networks is not showing on my s4 i9500. Can somebody help?

That isn't an option anymore. In CM 10.1 however you'd find it under the Storage menu.

No problems here. Options are all available for me as you can see below...
I see your Bluetooth is on and I believe the File Sharing is for DLNA enable devices which runs over wifi. Maybe something you're connected to is interfering with the DLNA connection?

Thanks, i think I've found the issue or at least something to start with. The moment i removed my SD card the options were active again. Its weird, i put it back and the options are still there for now.

You need to be rooted. After flashing, you'll find that option (Settings > Wireless & Networks > Tethering and portable hotspot).
there is no option to do it without root the device?
there is not external app that can do the same thing ?
Well, is there any options similar to what I said in my last post?

No, you need to mod the kernel at least.

Hi guys,
The other day my Ethernet cable plugging my desktop PC into the router broke, meaning I now have no internet access on my PC.
I was wondering if there was some way to plug my phone in via USB, and use my phones WiFi signal to access internet on the computer.
Any one know how this can be done?
Thanks.

Yes, it's straight forward enough.
Connect your phone to your WiFi network
Hook up your USB
Then go to Settings > more > tethering & portable hotspot and tick USB tethering

I tried that and it wouldn't let me enable it - could it be a problem with the ROM? Miui v5

Hmm tether? Can I do that with an offline PC? Keep in mind that's it's an XP
What are you trying to do? Copy data? If so, you just need a usb cable.

Which is a convenient fact he already mentioned, but until the OP makes it clear exactly what it is he is attempting to accomplish, not useful.

I thought it would be obvious he can't get KIES without an internet connection, therefore KIES USB mode which doesn't exist on my note 3 wouldn't work.

Except for the part where he says the computer asks to download something for the phone, and he can't access the phone in explorer.
KIES is not required for MTP.
I can't access my photos on the computers on either MTP or PTP. I'm on Stock 6.0.1 MTC19T. How to access my photos on the computer? Thanks in advance!
Is the phone unlocked? Just a guess. Don't remember if despite the option you have to unlock the phone too.
Otherwise you can use AirDroid and access and manage your phone via a browser if you are connected the same network

Yes, it's unlocked, should it be locked to be able to view your photos on your computer!? It's first ever with any Android device I have owned to face something like that

Go to setting>Developer mode and turn off USB debugging. Reboot and then go back in and turn it back on and you should have access through MTP.
