No problems here. Options are all available for me as you can see below...
I see your Bluetooth is on and I believe the File Sharing is for DLNA enable devices which runs over wifi. Maybe something you're connected to is interfering with the DLNA connection?

Thanks, i think I've found the issue or at least something to start with. The moment i removed my SD card the options were active again. Its weird, i put it back and the options are still there for now.

If it was me, I'd check to make sure you're broadcasting SSID on your router. For some reason, at least this is the way it is for me and I would be really baffled if it wasn't happening to everyone else as well, these android devices (I have an EVO and a GT), have a problem with connecting without it being able to see the SSID broadcast. All of my other devices (laptops, desktops, etc...) have absolutely no problems either way (broadcasting SSID or otherwise) connecting to my WiFi setup. Just the adndroid devices.
I had same problem not sure how i fixed it. But i reflashed everything like 1st time
I think it will b the modem file.
BUT check your wireless setting first

There have been a few threads on this and no one seems to have the answer.
Hi
Since a few weeks now my phone just "forgets" the passwords of networks I just connected with. This happens when I turn off/on my wifi in the settings or after a reboot. I'm on stock 4.3 and rooted. I already checked the wpa_supplicant.conf file and what I found out there is that everytime I connected to a network it put it in the file just fine, but the wifi settings don't seem to read it all back or something. In the file there are often copies of the same network and password (only different priority) that appear when I have to re-enter a password again. I also tried to delete the copies so that there's only one for each network but still, the settings don't seem to recognize it.
Thanks alot in advance
No one ever faced this problem again? Btw I do have a lot of networks saved in there, is there a limit or something?

After a 139 views and not a single reply I found a possible solution myself: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brilliapps.wifiandmorefixer
This app kinda fixed the problem for now, (all the wifi networks in the file show up in the settings). I hope it'll continue working like this. I'll inform you later if it still works (for those who have the same problem as I had and also couldn't find anything useful on the Internet)

I've the same problem, but it seems it will"forgot" password only with some kind of WiFi........maybe in presence of a WPS key! I'm not so sure, but had happened only with this kind of protection!
Nexus 4 on the roll!!!!
Hmm, I think that's not it, the settings 'forgot' also some wifi networks that didn't have wps... But is your problem solved right now? Otherwise I would recommend that app! You just have to make sure you backup the conf file!

I don't know at all, actually I've not known WiFi connection and u can't test! I'll update as soon as possible my experience!
Nexus 4 on the roll!!!!
Nope , it still doesn't work, I filled in 2 wifi networks today, they're both in the config file, but the don't show up in the settings...

OK, another fixing app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanamaral.wifi.passwords
If you launch this app and don't press the refresh button all the stored networks should be visible (in my case 86, where the settings only show about 80). Backup all your networks with the app, fix wifi (this deletes it all) and restore your backup with method 2. All the networks should now be visible in the settings.

Thanks for the app suggestion, great!!!!

Hey guys. I had a problem on my Galaxy s4, it could not remember wifi passwords and also took a lot of time to switch wifi on. I just wanted to let you know that I solved the problem by reflashing my ROM. Or any other ROM (custom ROM)
Has anyone found or established and working wifi or usb tether on stock rooted rom? This is single handly the most important function that I require on my phone. I will probably be trading it in on the Nexus 5 this week, it doesn't look like we will see working hotspot anytime soon. If anyone has a working tether please share.

Clockworkmod tether works just fine with that the USB. I take it you're with T-Mobile?

Clockworkmod Tether connects and works for me but it randomly disconnects on both my PC and laptop. Can't figure out what's causing it.

Yes I agree it does it to me too... And you tried pda+/foxfi?

i got it to work on tmobile by using sqleditor and changing a value.... but it doesnt stick after a reboot. luckily it just takes a few seconds to change. and pdanet worked perfect for usb tethering
TMobile D801
Are there any devs working on this?
Would be much appreciated!
I don't want to hijack your thread, but I was going to make a thread and I wondered if this was better suited to go with your post. Maybe you guys have encountered this and figured it out. Part of our problem is that no one really wants usb usally. They want wifi. But right now I'd be thrilled to have a good, stable usb tether for when I need it. The only way I've been able to keep it stable is by constant download, like setting something going in the background on Netflix, but that's not a real solution!
I have a few issues. This is USB tether and not WiFi.
I need to set up for occasional tethering and just planned on using USB tethering. I went to clockworkmod tethering and installed it on a Sprint variant LG G2(LS980). I am trying to get that working on two different computers. Computer 1 is an older laptop running Vista. Computer 2 is a new laptop running win8.
Computer 1 has the app installed and works. The issue is, if I stop downloading anything for just a few moments, it quits working. I then have to close out the app on the phone and then reopen it and it takes off just fine. I’d like to know how to make that a stable connection.
Computer 2 is more of the issue. First, the Win8 driver signature enforcement setting was disabled. The app was installed on the computer and there was tethering for a little bit. Long enough to try a page or two and then point the computer to speedtest, which was 16mbps down, which is great for where we are in the country. After the test there was a gap in downloading any information. It quit tethering and would never work again. It was believed it might be due to the wrong driver. The first one was taken directly from the LG page a week or two ago, LGMobileDriver_S50xxxx, so the app was relaunched and attempted to use the driver found on triple double u clockworkmod dot com/tether/drivers and is LGMobileDriver_S498xxx and that didn’t work.
In short, what do I do to get this to work? I’m at a bit of a loss. It should be easy.
Thanks.

If you search for "Network" in the Playstore you might find an app for that.
no luck. they are wifi apps. they don't show who connects to my Hotspot

How about changing the password in Settings, at the top where you see Wifi select More... then Hotspot and Tethering and rename the Hotspot to something random and create a new AlphaNumeric pass with a special character @!$
no more worries of who connects
In addition to this -- does anyone know how to set the Channel that wifi broadcasts on?
It seems to just 'pick' Channel 6. Well -- I'm downtown, and that's a REALLY busy channel.
I'm with these folks though, OP -- just change your WiFi password if you're not sure!

I know that's an option. in TouchWiz it's shows list of connected devices via Hotspot. since nexus does not show this...i was wondering if there is such an app or a hidden option for this. I mean it seem simple that app developers must have know this.. if not.. great app idea

I use WiFi Tether Router on another device but should work on the 6p, it has an option to see who is connected and you can also change the WiFi channel too
