So I went to best buy today and started messing around with some display s4's. I noticed the dialer is the same as the s3. Black backgrounds and blue buttons. So i proceeded to check all 5 display models and all had the same. All were i9505 models. My question is did all us variants get the white dialers? Wondering why samsung did this?

I too was confused with this, I was also in a BestBuy looking at the Samsung display on my way home with a new GS4 waiting on my return. I talked to the Samsung rep. there and he had a demo unit he was carrying around. He let me "play" with it as I asked questions about it, coming from a HTC One X. I didn't know a H**l of a lot about Samsung. On his the dialer was blue with white lettering. He did tell me that the ATT version came out stock with a white dialer but some where in the settings it could be changed to different colors but he couldn't find it at the time. When I got home sure enough, mine had the white dialer. I went down the whole list of settings in every thing and couldn't find it. I had troubles with the "air view" thing and called Samsung tec , come to find out, only the International version has the blue dialer. The ATT version has the white and can't be changed. Other versions might be different, but that was the answer the tech on the phone give.
It seems like AT&T is always bundling their version of the dialer app with their bloat and the phones contacts. Maybe this is why it is different. Does it always try to connect to the yellow pages or AT^T's contacts? Maybe a mod can be done with a different dialer APK, but with everything connected it usually required a lot of editing to make it work right without FCs.

Hello guys
Just picked up a LG G2 (Verizon variant VS980 according to the branded back and thicker size), but the LCD is dark. I did notice right away that the LCD must have been replaced as it doesn't have any Verizon branding in the top right corner (as the retail version has). The phone is fully functional, turns on, boot sound, beeping when volume is pressed, able to receive calls, and responds to touch (like able to answer by blind swiping, pull down notification and feel responsiveness when top toggles are pressed) but all with dark screen. I can see the backlight is good (some slight leakage) but not a single pixels lights up.
The previous owner told me the screen needs to be replaced, but didn't mention why. I assume he replaced it (or paid someone) with a GSM (D802/D800) variant and something must be different/not compatible. I thought the only difference was the wireless charging and CDMA board. I am wandering if there are any "easy" ways of solving this without purchasing the correct part (like possible modifying or replacing the connectors, or maybe flashing something?) Is there any chance that one of the ports/connectors is broken (and not the LCD itself?) Are there aftermarket LCD screens for Verizon variant that don't have the Verizon branding (thinking maybe it's a correct part, but defective) or all VS980 models come branded? I am just surprised that the wrong screen "fitted" so well. I am sure this was probably mentioned somewhere, I couldn't find a post with anything after search. Thanks for any feedback/input you can provide.
You bought a phone someone else fixed themselves. If you can fix it, open it and see how he did the repair & redo the job.
If not, you'll have to get it replaced professionally. LG won't warranty replace the screen since its obvious its been opened...

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if you have the same "problem ". I've received a galaxy s8 last Friday. Everything was great except one. I've a noticed a potential image retention. For example, the (black) navbar remained on the screen for 3-5 second after closing an app. Or the black bar on the top (when apps aren't full screen) was noticeable also after closing. So I went to a store to see their galaxy s8 and s8+ and test it. The results was clear, their galaxy s8 had the same "problem" but not the s8+. So I decided to change my phone and get a new. Surprise, same thing... then I went to another store and their s8 also had this potential issue but not their s8+. So I've seen 4 galaxy s8 having this problem. My question is simple. Am I the only one ? Will it get worse ? Is it normal ? I don't think that my store is going to change my phone again. Keep in mind that this "image retention" is more noticeable on a blue or gray picture. Thanks for your answers.
Hey, i have a problem with sreen pattern lock dots is so small, then s4 not black edition, s4 dots bigger than galaxy's s4 BLACK EDITION I9505. How to do bigger pattern looks like s4, or note 3. blue = note 3
dark = s4 black edition
Nobody knows DDDDDDDDD? so funn
It isn't that no one knows. It's that the question has been asked before and a quick search would have turned up the solution had you used it. However, given you're dealing with Touchwiz I wouldn't bother trying to resolve this as you may cause more issues than you solve. To do what you want requires decompiling system files and replacing the dot graphics.
Hi everbody, i had bought a s5 g900f, 2 week ago, for my brother. So he said that the Phone had problems with wake up after standby and that the remove the battery and got problems with booting the s5. The booting font colour chance from white to yellow. I make a video to explain my problem
*I did factory reset and new original samsung ROM with odin
*right know is resurrection remix installed.
It has to do with hardware my opinion

The font color issue sounds like a video card issue (not sure if it is called something different in the phone world). The wake part could be something in the same physical area as the font color issue and both could be broken, or burned out. You could look up some ways to replace the motherboard or screen to see if that maybe an option. Depending on the price of the replacement parts sometimes it is just better to get another phone.
OK thank you very much, but is comes up sometimes, not always, then he's to buy new phone.
I have the model number SM-N975F with CSC XFA.
I purchased the Back LED Cover EF-KN975.
Upon installation, the phone prompts to install the LED icon editor and under Settings->Advanced features->Accessories I only get the option of "LED View Cover".
My LED Cover version is 1.1.44. The issue persisted on Android 9, I have updated to Android 10, and the issue still persists. From what I have gathered online, other users get the option of "LED Cover" which allows options such as mood lighting etc. The option I get is meant for the full led flip cover. For some reason the wrong settings is being loaded. Any help will be greatly appreciated? The Cover has never worked with these settings, not once.
Pictures attached, indicate that the settings loading are for the product EF-NN975 which is in fact a flip cover.
If it is still possible, I would suggest you get a replacement, and check it on-site.
When I put mine on, I have the same as what yours appears to be, my phone automatically installs white "cover content", if that's not happening for you it would seem that you have a "bad" cover (case).
Okay thanks guys, I'm actually getting a new cover as soon as my local Samsung retailer gets more stock as I have reported the issue to them.
Hi, did you manage to find what was the issue? Same happens with my note 10 plus
