I noticed that when you try to record some night footage with video camera...
I choose night mode but when i press the recording button it reverts back to normal mode.
As a result you can not record properly video during the night.

So, here is what happens:
Start the camera app
Still pictures work fine
Select the video mode
Record a video
Once I stop recording, the screen displays the save/delete/etc options for a brief second, then shuts down. No errors are displayed. After this happens, I can only make use of the camera app after a soft reset. If I attempt to use the camera app without resetting, the app appears, but never displays what the camera sees and then shuts down again.
It acts like the camera is failing when being initialized, but does not throw any errors.
Any ideas? All the threads I could find all deal with the 'camera failed to initialize' message, which is not my issue.
Same Problem After Upgrading to WM6.1 (27/2/08)
I've got the same problem but can't configure out how to solve. Can anyone help?
Seeing a problem with my new Atrix.
I hit the camera Icon, works fine, no issues.
Through the menu, switch to Video recorder.
Video recorder switches, and shows the red record button.
Then when i hit the record button, I get kicked out to the main phone screen?
ATT store tried pulling the battery while powered on.
The phone rebooted, and then the video recorder worked.
30 mins later, the same problem returned.
Any ideas for resolution?
Thanks,
Mark
During night....when i try to record video, i choose night mode but when i press the video button it reverts back to auto mode and everything is dark again. How can i record video during night?
So, I set this up recently and as a heavy camera user I'm now discovering this function could be a slight problematic.
Friday I was about to take a photo and so I doubled tapped the power button to launch camera and then tried to take some pics but at first it wasn't working.
After about 20 seconds finally I started to get the photos working. I was a little puzzled as never been an issue.
Almost immediately after the Mrs texted me worryingly asking me if I was ok?
Apparently when I tried to launch the camera it must have tapped the power button 3 times and set off the SOS mode.
It had without me knowing, taken front and back camera photos, recorded audio and sent to my emergency contacts along with my location.
Now I'm glad the emergency function works, but surely having the same button as the camera launcher seems a little silly as can lead to issues like what happened to me.
I ended up invoking via my Gear S2 because of accidental pressing.

Or disable double click power for cam. Then you won't have any reason to tap on power button more than once. And then you could download program to remap Bixby to open camera instead.
Hello all,
After the last updates my slow motion camera is not working.
You press the button to record and it just makes the beep and stops.
Any ideas how to fix this please?
