[Q] How to tell which region i9500 came from - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I got my hands on an i9500 here in the U.S. and wanted to know what region it came from. Does it even matter where it came from? Are all i9500 the same?

[Q] Flashing a stock rom from differne region

Is it possible to flash official stock firmware for Note 3 from region other than the original region of the phone? For example I have Note 3, N9005 from middle east (which has 4.3), can I flash a stock rom from a region for which 4.4.2 is available? Will this brick the phone? Will the phone be locked for that specific region in case flashing is successful? Any other problems? Did anyone did this before?
i have the same concern as yours, i have a Note3 and i am from the middle east can i download a stock rom from Europe for example Germany ??

go to sammobile.com and look for your country and carrier. See what baseband it has, then download the modem from xda.

Did you try to downgrade your firmware when this problem appeared?

My phone didn't received 5.0 update

Is your phone carrier branded ?
Ask them.
Is the system rooted? If 5.0 stock ROM is available from sammobile.com, you could flash it via Odin.

I think your device is from some of the countries that still without android lollipop (Iran, Israel (Cellcom) or Panama) if the latest updates have already been installed. You can install this APP and verify it by yourself.
