This thing is happening with my old galaxy y also... It is 1yr 9 mnth old...
I flashed many roms in it before... Jelly Blast v3 also...
& came back to original rom by CWM backup...
I seen the update is available, I tried to update it...
But it stops at 15% every time & rebooted ...
So I tried to flash firmware by ODIN but it also stopping like that...
I searched .pit file & also added it... But this problem is not solved...
[ first of all I get problem of connectivity of Y, I solved the driver problem]
anyone can solve this problem ???

If you get it from elsewhere you need to split it using the splitter tool also on that thread

Sorry, but you can't mention the name of banned roms here. Anyway, try to install USB drivers for Galaxy Y here. If you can boot your phone, enable USB Debugging in Settings> Applications> Development. Make sure to download stock firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800 and flash it via Odin.

Banned roms are ROMs that are banned by xda members. It is caused by violating xda rules. Example, Jellyblast rom were banned because Avijit (creator) linking to a download which took you to an ad site and Nemesis is banned because containing warez and steal other's work.
better to install kies first

Question:
Is this your first time flashing Odin?
Yes: Then first install KIES, but your stock driver is preferable (you know.. the one that comes with the box) to avoid incompatibilities, the install odin; i personally use Odin3 v1.85 and it has never failed me once.. and I have tried almost every ROM and kernel for Y. Close KIES before flashing.
No, I have done this before: Did you try another USB port or another computer? Assuming you didnt interchange the 3 files when flashing, did you remove the battery and let the fone discharge for atleast 1 minute and also did you remove the SD card. Sometimes there are files and script from your custom Roms that messes with odin so remove SD card prior to flashing.
There is another method you can do, I myself have used this twice to get out of a quite sticky softbrick... but I do not recommend it, Using a totoro pit file. If all other method fails this will MAY get you out
1. after placing PDA, MODEM and CSC... put the totoro pit file on "PIT", LEAVE BOOTLOADER ALONE!!!
2. Click repartition and NOTHING ELSE!!!
3. Click start
4. Hope for the best:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

As stated by a user above that make sure adb, kies ,any software that uses ur phobes usb is not running....
In odin make sure re-partition is disabled and dont use a pit file
All u need to use is pda, csc, phone,
Not even bootloader
Check whether the usb is nit interupted by anything during the flash...

[Q] I9505 with radio issues

Hi,
Since I dont have 10 posts and cant post on the Android Development forum I guess I need to post here instead. I flashed my I9505 with Android 4.3 v.2.2 of this firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341026 , which worked awesome except for a couple of force close and reboots. Perfect LTE and HSPA. I recently flashed it with the updated version Android 4.4 v.2. Everything works awesome except LTE or 3G, when trying to use those 2 the phone does not connect to a tower, doing a forced scan and connect works for a very short while and I get kicked off. Forcing 2G/Edge works perfect though!
1. When I flashed 4.4 V2, is it possible that it may somehow changed my radio firmware or can this only be done via odin? (I used philz to flash to 4.4 v2 without doing a full wipe, I wanted to keep settings/apps etc)
2. When checking here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/ under I9505 and my country South Africa(Vodafone/Vodacom), the radio version on the site and on my phone correlates
GT-I9505 Galaxy S 4 LTE
BASEBAND -> MODEM: I9505XXUBMGA
What may have caused the phone to loose HSPA and LTE connectivity?
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Ok, tried flashing the modem with Odin 3.04 and fails with I9505_XXUBMH1_MODEM.tar.md5 which is an upgrade to I9505XXUBMGA?! When I google how to upload the modem firmware there are many variants. What is the CORRECT method to upload a modem to a i9505 using Odin? I dont want to brick my phone.

Bro download and unzip this file http://www.mediafire.com/download/48r0rgqv25s8968/GSM_Modem_XXUEMKF_and_LTE_Modem_XXUBMH1.rar then flash it with odin by selecting phone. Let me know if that fix your problem
It hangs on setup connections.

Again I ask what is the exact/correct procedure to do a flash for I9505? I assume I should extract the RAR first to a .TAR which I did and then what?

You have to extract it and then you open odin and select phone on odin and find the file you extract then on your phone power off manually and wait 5 sec and hold power+volume down in order to go to download mode and connect the cable andpress start in odin . done/

Same problem and lost all data on my phone now:crying:
Edit:
This modem I9505XXUEMKE-MODEM seems to work. From the thread it is a ROM issue, I hope I now have enough posts to post on the developer section. Other people had the same complaints, I seemed to be one of the first.

did u find a fix?
xxuemke modem didnt work for me
I flashed with latest I9505 firmware from Sammobile website. Updated Radio, bootloader and camera firmware automatically! Then you can flash whatever you want. You must also check that the modem you use is compatible with your country.

[Q] Soft Brick... Need Help :(

So I tried flashing a stock Poland 4.2.2 ROM and when I tried to flash it with Odin I got the invalid Ext4 firmware error... I tried flashing like 6 different roms and none of them work... I keep getting either that or some other weird fused 3 > BInary 2 message...
I have no idea what to do... Is it fixable? I can't get to recovery. Only download mode.
PS: i searched for an answer here and found someone with a similar problem. He just flashed a ROM and it worked for him. I tried to do the same, and no luck...
Ok I managed to get Recovery to work and I tried putting Roms in there and flashing... It's stuck on the Samsung Logo and it bootloops... Any ideas? :/

No luck... I think the problem is the phone assumes it's updated to 4.4.2 so now I can't do any rollback to 4.3 and I'm just stuck... No ROM is working out for me... This is horrible... Seems a lot of people are experiencing the same issue as well.

That's the point... Doesn't work either... My phone is stuck... I tried all possible stock ROMS. All of them either give me invalid Ext4 error or that Fuse error...
I'm starting to worry... It doesn't seem fixable...

I would suggest trying to flash the Kitkat rom again, the one that was broken up originally from Sammobile.
Make sure the new bootloader is also flashed.
I wonder if you flashed with re-activation lock on?I know it caused a buttload of problems with 4.3 so it would definately NOT like 4.4.2....
Extract PIT file from the leaked firmware and flash the Kit Kat with the PIT file.

There is no PIT file. It's an md5 file. I extracted all the files from it anyways. No Pit there... Maybe you could upload it for me or link it to me?

you can find the PIT file in the CSC_OXX_N9005OXXENA5_327209_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
download it here: http://x-mirror.cu.cc/Samsung/Note3...NA5_327209_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar

Recovery works fine. It's the stock ROM flashing via Odin that keeps failing.
I tried flashing ROMs via CWM. No go. Flashing goes fine but the phone bootloops on the Samsung logo...
It's so annoying Samsung doesn't have EFR on Kies for Note 9005...

No, that's not correct. You should:
- Load all of 5 files to the Odin: PIT, BL, AP, CP, CSC
- Select the checkbox Re-Partition
Download all needed files here: http://x-mirror.cu.cc/Samsung/Note3/UnofficialFW/Extracted/
