hey all
my phone's internal mem. has 181mb in total , from which ~ 140 are occupied right now .. i dont really understand that, cause on the product's specifications it was written that it has something around 450mb. i guess its the WM that occupies that much space ?
anyhow , i wanted to know how i can save some more space - delete old internet files for ex. , remove the copilot navigator etc...
tnks in advance.
look at some cusom roms i use clean ex rom and after flashing having round 250 mb free they remove all the riubbish off the phone hope that helps
hey greg
tnks a lot for answering .
well, i used something -clear temp v1.3 , it gave me 10 more mb's free..
im not sure that much about all these terms - rom , manila , im quite new with the hd2 so i'll read about it a little bit by myself later .
anyhow , do u have any idea how can i remove the copilot without changing rom ?
tnks in advance

Use SKTools for remove junks, unnecessary data and files. It's the best app imo.
If u use stock rom, u cannot remove copilot completely, unfortunately, only be able to remove its shortcut and files. Flash a cook rom instead, that's easy and great

Any rom have JIT, ram hack & overclock all together?

Is it possible? or already have rom can do it?
Thanks
Yes, it's possible.
Maybe add 1 + 1 +1.
Rom with RAM hack
Add JIT
Add overclock
What does that equal?

How to change the cpu speed in a rom / kernel .zip file?

Hello All
Sorry for my noob question:
I 'm searching how to change the settings of the cpu speed in my VE 4.0 ROM, through the .zip file directly, or in the kernel files uploaded by radug with his rom to change this speed
In fact, how to change the min/max CPU speed in a .zip file (ROM) ?
Thx in advance for all your help

I think the kernels for VE 4.0 are pre-overclocked, meaning that you choose a kernel update according to the speed you want....
I am guessing that if this is so, the frequency table in the kernel is very very limited.
What exactly are you trying to do? Does SetCPU enable you to set the speed you want? If not then its because the kernel version you are using does not support it and there is no way to get around it. If SetCPU does support this speed, can't you just use "Set on boot"?
Hi Erasmux
Thx for your response
I would like to set the cpu as i need directly in the rom without having to use set cpu for example. (576 mhZ / 352mhz) and i dont have this choice in the kernels...
Basically, you need to write the min/max frequencies you want to:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
You can do this in a file in /system/etc/init.d so that it gets done at boot.
This is of course limited by the frequency tables in the kernel. I am guessing that the free kernel should give you the frequencies you want. I still suggest first using SetCPU to check the exact frequency values the kernel supports.
This is quite a complicated way to achieve, performance and battery life which is worst than the supplied 576/245 locked kernel. I have done quite a lot of investigation on the subject, and the locked kernels will behave much better for you than the free kernel.
Can you explain what problems you have with the 576/245 locked kernel?
Hi.
setcpu does not manage to change the cpu speed on boot on my hero, although i pick um "set on boot" enable. only after the phone starts up i can go to setcpu and change the cpu speed to 614/176 (my hero is rooted and has the flykernel13, the rom is equal to the original only pre-rooted). is there any other way to change/set cpu speed on boot (for instance, editing in on file ...).
Thx

Hi,
Please check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10429937&postcount=3
You should look for a ROM with one of his kernels here:
http://android.hd2roms.com/
Thank you first
Which one is appropriate for the NAND I could not select the best suited for battery expanded
just need Kernel not ROM

[Q] Can someone help me finding the right ROM?

Hello all,Im using Htc hd2,currently at windows mobile 6,5.
I tried searching for the right roms, but they all look pretty much the same, some might have unknown bugs.Could any of you recommend me a smooth, stable rom(NAND one) which could run latest android apps?

Have you actually been reading?!?!
Then i am in SHOCK!! There are ALOT of roms thats work perfectly. No bugs or anything. There are basically 3 kinds of roms. Cyanogenmod, MIUI or the htc sense roms
I think the fastest roms are cyanogenmod roms so here are some of the best ones
Gingerbread ( Android 2.3.7)

ICS ( Android 4.0.x )

These were some of the ones i have tried. I had fun with these, but alas, i cant stick with one and constantly change.
Dont think these are the ONLY roms.

Check on this page for almost ALL the roms
HAVE FUN!!m
I've done some reading.Could you help me find out what does these mean?
"EU and TMOUS ROM Partition Size : 5/125/5 ( boot / system / cashe )
You must have an ext 2/3/4 partition on your SD-Card (512MB - 1GB recommended) ( You just Allow only one extX )
Your partitions in SD-card ,it should be similar :
FAT32------> ext X --------> SWAP
(XXXX MB)-( 512-1024 MB )-(128-256 MB)"
Thanks in advance

I doubt it.
If you couldn't understand what those meant, and since you are still on WinMo, you probably need this:

its the partition sizes. When you flash CWM, you can select these sizes. If u dont understand a word, PM me. Ill take u through everything. And EXT partition is a partition of your sd card so that applications can be installed there instead of your internal memory. So it saves up your internal memory. The card is partitioned through the CWM. again, if u dont know how to do it, PM me

If you need to ask a question about the best ROM, then you certainly haven't done any reading. Pretty much all ROMs aside from the Blackout ICS Primo (which is still in Alpha development so you can't really expect much) are smooth and stable to varying degrees. If you had searched, you would have found probably around 100, maybe more threads in this forum alone asking the same question, with the majority of them asking for smoothness and stability.
Also, if you're confused with flashing just use this guide and everything shall be clear.
