Gaming on g3

we all bought galaxy 3 happily bcoz of its low price and the fact that it will support froyo
but in a month or so after trying out some games on g3,i felt like i should have gone for some other phone[even g5 does better]
android market has lots of games,but most of them are just casual[bored of them]
other good looking games wont work
*so i request all g3 owners to post names of games which which works perfectly[no lags]
on our phones....ALSO POST THE GAME VERSION WHICH WORKS
*lets try out all these goodlooking games [gameloft,e a etc..] and make a data base of WORKING games on g3
......lets make full use of our g3
DELETED THE LIST,THERE ARE TOO MANY GAMES,JUST READ POSTS TO KNOW ABOUT GAMES....

Try PES11...works good on custom ROMs...then Dungeon Hunter works...Fruit Ninja...Angry Birds...these are cool games

I agree. If you want high end games try a high end phone And have in mind this is a PHONE, not a psp.I would like to be able to play half life 2 but it is just not possible.

This is about only galaxy 3 gaming exclusively.....

Does anyone else have a problem with really bad lag in Angry Birds Rio?

Ninjump and papertoss are fun games....works perfectly..

Lags only at the beginning.when a new level starts wait for 4-5 seconds.then start playing

Angry Birds lags on further levels...i play PES11...no lag smooth play...on Indroid 3.0
and yeah i dont use STOCK roms...better to opt for some Customs!

root your phone and install an advertising removal application. That should speed up things already....and make sure you have a less as crap installed on your phone
to add to the list here: I have Scrambled Net that keeps me busy from time to time
Next to that, only Angry Birds installed.
Tried Parallel Kingdom AOT and Pocket Legends (3D MMO) also, and they run very good....but boring after a week

Bad graphic performance

Hi guys,
like many of you. i just received nexus 10 yesterday after some basic browsing, everything went fine.
now i want to try google earth to see how screen will perform. it was so laggy to the unusable.
then i tried some tablet made game (http://machinarium.net/), is also very slow.
please see youtube video 1 & video 2.
so is my unit defected? or this normal can anyone confirm please.

On the first link, some people there are also experiencing some FPS issues, but a possible fix for that seems to be to Force GPU Acceleration. The second link has a reviewer mentioning dropped frames a lot, which might mean it could be a common experience. Forcing GPU Acceleration though might help.

Runs slow for me too. Its not just you. I have a feeling...and I hope I'm wrong. The resolution this thing outputs cannot be handled by the GPU in graphic intensive games...

Instead of knee jerking why don't you send an email to the developers to report the issue and find out when they're going to optimize their apps for Nexus 10.
If demanding games like NFS MW, Dead Trigger, MC 3, etc. run smoothly I don't how they can't optimize that child's game.

I don't know why, but Asphalt 7 keeps turning back to control 0. That means I can't drive using the accelerometer

I can add some games I played on this ICS rom:
AirAttack HD 1.4.1: Perfect
Pinball Arcade Free 1.8.0: Perfect
Virtua Tennis Challenge 4.0: Perfect
Wild Blood 1.1.0: Some framerate drops
Asphalt 7 1.0.3: Perfect. Acceleration is automatic-only in this 1.0.3 version. Not rom related.
Dead Trigger 1.6.1: Some lag with graphics setting in high. Perfect with medium or low.

The idea is to make a list of games that do not work, or that work but not quite right.
Since most games are running, that no,
And it would make a long list adding all that do work. So mention the games that are not on the list and that work is because they go to 100% lagfree.
But not like the others who want to go where they operate commenting perfect

I have a question to where you got the v1.1.0 version of Wild Blood?? ,
Since last appearing in Google Play is the v1.0.9,

Understood. It wasn't intended.
Anyway it's not easy to believe that if a game it's not in the list it's because it works perfectly. I mean there could be a doubt about if some game was tested or not. But it's a valid point.

They released 1.1.0 version in Gameloft web (wapshop) last week.

You're right, I've been testing and I can not get into the game returns me to the main screen of the game, now I'm going to add to the list until your compatibiliad future reports.

Fpse doesn't work for me...
Sound is out but video doesn't, never face this on CM 9, I use the old fpse one...

I am using the version v0.11.69, without frameskip enabled or anything, just as is the default framelimiter and excellent work on this rom. What version of FPSE you??

At this moment the game requires a phone/tablet with 1 GB of RAM at least. I really wish to support xperia play devices, but unfortunately right now I don't have this phone to optimize the game for it.

I use v0.10.61, it runs great on GB n CM 9, but in this ROM video doesn't out with same setting...

Modern Combat 4 (leaked version) worked fine for me on Gingerbread, and also works well on ICS (By Markphyton) but you'd better delete them from the list as they are not official versions, and there may be confusion among users.

Downloaded the latest version of The Amazing spiderman, works fine if you use the hard buttons, but when you go touch pads its gets really laggy and freezes then restarts the phone entirely, i'll keep testing. I use Markphyton ICS rom

okay, confirm continued to lag, (whether overclocked or not) and will update the list with your report.

Ok so i overclocked to 1.6 max and 500mgz smartassv2 and noop but still laggy,it stopped system freeze (when game hooks up i can now press home without it restarting my play), i decided to uninstall maybe i'll try with an older version

Guys i want to upgrade from my galaxy nexus.i have some questions. How is build quality? It will break in just one drop? Does it scratch easily?i mean both back and display..does it get very hot during games? Are there any problems with this device?i am afraid of this nexus being LG( i am not sure about device quality..the main reason i am switching from galaxy nexus is display problem.it got burn in problem on bottom of navbar....please help me. thanks in advance:thumbup:

It slipped out of my (very dry) hands three times yesterday, nothing happened! Very proud of her actually. Simple case on it.
It might scratch, yes. Need to be careful. Small scratch at the front, had one on the gn too.
Best phone I ever owned, go for it!

There's nothing the phone can't handle mate. Temple Run 2 on max quality, no problem. Haven't heard of any issues for others either. Which games do you mean? I can try one.
Battery is also great compared to the gn, even the gsm gn that I had.

On stock kernel probably yes. But I only stayed on it for about 4 minutes so I wouldn't know..

It would get warm, but not too warm because the thermal throttling prevents the heat from getting too ridiculous by ramping down CPU speed which in turn shows up as stutter in intensive games.
Run custom kernels to get through this problem. =)

On stock it'll get hot. However, with custom kernel I lowered the GPU's clock, lowered max freq and lowered the voltaged via faux clock and now it rarely exceeds the 30-40C range. Also some of the games I listed are very basic(rayman, temple run, etc) and don't require much power, heck you can play a lot of these on a galaxy S1.

Of course, it's just that some games get very boring/repetitive. Dead Trigger for instance doesn't have a large variation in levels, which is also an issue with contact killer.

I don't no if this is new but iv just noticed it, the app is pretty good seems to work well and can now see fps cpu and gpu usage on screen while playing games.

When ur playing a game and you swipe down from notification panel you'll see game booster click on it and ull see plugins and there you can install from... or go on the game booster and select game performance
