2 question about galaxy s 4 mods - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

1) is there a working way to use external sd as internal sd? or to move successfully the game data in the external sd and then play them? Directory Bind doesnt work for me, when i try to launch the games they crashes, they works just in the internal sd.
2) is there a hack to boost the volume of galaxy s 4? i would want a higher volume when i listen to music without headset.

Be patient and don't double post.

Media cannot be played

I previously had a Moto Droid and was able to connect it to my USB port in my car and play media "Music" from the sdcard. Now with my Incredible it tell me media cannot be played or read. I believe this is because of the dual mounting when connected it tries to mount two storages at once. Anyone else having this problem or maybe and solutions to fix this???

mine kind of did the same thing, I put my songs on the internal memory and my pioneer wouldn't find the songs, I had to put all my music on the micro sd card and it worked fine after that. not sure if that would work for you or not but it worked for me, so if you haven't tried that yet it is worth a shot.
i have actually tried both and still no luck. I even tried removing SDcard and had Music on internal storage only and still a no go. But it seems to read the sdcard momentarily and seconds after it says media cannot be played.
All my media is on the sd card. No problems with playing via USB/AUX connections in my vehicle...
finally figured it out. for some reason I had to give my friend my sdcard and had him format it in his nexus one. then put music back on it and this time it was able to read the media. finally

[Q] Storage preference on Stock Rom

I recently obtained my first real Android phone S III after years with Android on HD2 and my biggest question right now is how to make the phone to recognize and use the External SD to store data (for example Music Google Play off-line files)? My internal memory is almost full, but there is almost nothing on the SD card.
Thank you very much for your help and I'm sorry if I make some mistake in posting, this is my first post - although I try to search for the answer before posting.

This is the biggest problem!!! I took out the card and put it in my laptop with adapter and put videos, music and photos!!!
Then reinserted the card. Now I can see and hear thru it! But Samsung must issue an update to correct this flaw!!!!

I don't know if I explained myself good. I would like for the app to store data (mainly multimedia like music, podcasts, etc) on external SD card so there is more space left in the internal memory. Is this possible?

[Q] Navigon - Use external or internal SD?

Since the use of external SD can be somewhat limited on this device, I wanted to be sure and ask here first. How does Navigon work on Note 2? It really lowers my "need" for Navigon if it can't use the external SD for map storage.
BTW, from what I read so far this is a Jelly Bean limitation? That would mean that the apps/games need to become smarter and detect external SD in different ways?

[Q] Eonon WinCE6.0 Head unit - USB Videos

Hi,
I have been looking round the forums for a specific question and it appears you always have the answers but just not quite exactly what I am after, so someone could help me now.
First some background: I have just bought an Eonon ARM head unit which is running WinCE6 with a very nice shell on it, what I am trying to do is play movies on the device either through the USB or the 'other' SD card slot (not the GPS slot).
I can play videos via the GPS card slot using Vplayer and this does not need to be installed but only plays videos from the GPS SD card. Vplayer doesn't see the 'other' SD Card slot or the USB, The thing is, I don't want to keep swapping the GPS in and out when I want to watch a movie.
I read somewhere that it sounds like my head unit has 2 IC mainsboard... so my questions is: is there any way to either have WinCE recognise the USB/ 'other' SD card OR have the shell not only play music from the USB/SD card but also Videos?
When I use Total Commander I can't see the other SD card or the USB even when they're plugged in.
Thanks so much in advance

That's all about it: basically there are 2 different units in one case. WinCE is for the GPS part, the other for the multimedia part.

Thank you jwoegerbauer, Is there no way I can edit the player on the multimedia side to play movies via USB/other SD card?
I am in the identical boat. D5153. Very disappointing if this isn't possible! Or I'd like to be able to have a different music player for the music on a thumbdrive/sd card, this way I don't need an ipoop to interface with the headunit efficiently.

Install Game SD Card data in Internal SD Card (XOLO Play 8X-1100)

I recently bought XOLO Play 8X-1100 [16 GB internal storage(9.57GB Internal SD Card, around 4GB Device storage for apps)]
The problem is my 32GB external SD Card is almost full (Music, Videos and Games) and I want to install more games. The internal SD Card (9.57GB) is empty.
When I install any games their data automatically goes in the external SD Card (32GB), If I move that data (from /sdcard/Android/obb OR /sdcard/Android/data) to internal SD Card the game either crashes or start to download data from start. Tried with Real Racing 3 (Start downloading data from start), Despicable Me: Minion Rush (Start downloading data from start), Asphalt 8: Airborne (Crashes at start). Now installed Real Racing 3 and Despicable Me: Minion Rush in external SD Card works perfectly fine.
Is there any way to utilize internal SD Card (9.57GB) for game data.
Device is rooted and BusyBox installed

a. Bought it 4 days ago (19-Oct-2014).
b. Performance is really good, No lag anywhere. Tried only 2 big games (Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8: Airborne) works flawlessly without lag. :good:
Battery capacity is 2100 mAh (lithium-polymer). Last a day with 1-2 hours wifi usage, music and video playback. Drains fast if playing graphics intensive game.
c. No network problems till now (no drop). :good: Never used SIM Data connection(neither 2G nor 3G). :fingers-crossed:
d. Camera is 13 MP Sony Exmor RS sensor. Really good camera with fast Autofocus (or touch to focus). Photos are bright and color rich in daylight.
Flash is really powerful. Good photos is low light conditions using flash.
Front Camera is 5 MP 88 degree wide angle. Almost as good as XOLO Q700 rear camera.
Its a really good device in terms of power and camera.
Only negative point is Battery drains fast if playing heavy games, battery should have been around 3000 mAh. But you can always buy a powerbank. :good:
