Hi forks, I have friends was trying to download the official rom of ICS for S2, but didn't know which one to. The main problem is to check the region code.
Here is the guide:
1. open the dial screen, and dial: *#06#, and you will get your IMEI number, write it down
2. dial this command: *#272*IMEI# and you can get your Region code.
Our just dial*#1234#

*#1234# does not give you your CSC code.
The easiest way without checking and typing in the imei is to use this app.

I need to get the CSC for my phone and *#272*Phone’s IMEI# isn't working for me.
Wondering if I'm doing it wrong or if it just doesn't work for the i9505.

Try using *#1234#
Thanks, I used that to get the firmware versions but the csc listed there isnt three characters like I thought it would be.
So i would like to confirm it another way, also *#272* is supposed to allow you to change it which i will need to do.

I'm in the same boat. running AP: i9505XXUAME2 CP:i9505XXUAMDD CSC: i9505EVRAMDB which I think means I need to update my CSC as they don't match. I just can't find out how. http://droidviews.com/2012/how-to-change-csc-in-samsung-galaxy-phones/ That guide doesn't help as the *#272*Phone’s IMEI Here# bit doesnt work. Any help would be great as well as opinons on whether there is a CSC mismatch. I'm getting sim not inserted errors that I think are related and need to pull battery, and re-insert the sim to fix this. It then triggers again after about an hour.

I used CSC changer from the playstore. it says for S2/S3 but it work on the Galaxy S 4 as well.
But you need root to use it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I gave that app a whirl. It seemed to want to auto generate the *#272*Phone’s IMEI Here# bit automatically, but was unable and set up *#272*# on the dialer, but no more. Shame.
Edit: sorry, my bad. I tried CSC Select. Let me have a go with CSC changer
I updated my Note 3 via odin few months ago from sammobile.I've installed Sintel(Singapore) firmwire and then updated few times via OtA update. But i noticed there is no call recording option , i heared that is available after D3 update.
After installing the firmwire from sammobile I've got a little problem. whenever i go to Additional Setting from call settings i got an error message "Network or Sim card error" but calls are working fine.I can't change call waiting status but except this other options are Available in Call settings》additional settings. But Every time that error message apperes in additional settings 》Call forwarding & I can't even Forward my calls .i am in Bangladesh.
what are the solutions of these problems.

Thanks for reply.
i did.i tried UK BTU firmwire before Sintel .Setup was successful. But it didn't start properly. also There was no basband info in about devices.
Should i try the new BTU firmwire?
When i got my phn , it came with xsp (France) firmwire.I also tried that after btu.that didn't work.same problem happened.
and then i flashed Sintels one.
I suggest you btu latest G1 because with Singapore G2 I face same problem of from call settings if I select additional settings, I was getting error no network/sim card error, otherwise all works fine, but after flash btu G1, all fine may modem was matching with my country.

I am running a retail version VZW Note 4 on AT&T. I've been trying to get into the service menu but none of the codes work. I simply get a "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". I've tried the various solutions (adding + or ,) and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas or am I stuck until root?
Thanks.
Ryan
O ya. I have a rooted/rom'd VZW s5 and get the same error.
*#0011# not working for you ?

ah that's weak. Thanks.
Got the menus working on the S5. Just have to fumble through it and get the other bands enabled.

Hi,
Edit your post and remove your IMEI and S/N. Just in case to protect your device from illegal tampering or any illegal things.
Where country did you live in? Could you check your phone box for CSC code? It looks like this: GT-I9500ZWAXSE or anything similar.
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD
Your original CSC according to IMEI is XST
Model number is GT-I9505ZKAXST

https://support-ca.samsung.com/secaew/consumer/ca/findwarranty/warrantyinfo
Enter the IMEI and it should return the original CSC, which will be the last three letters of the model number, e.g. O2U in I9505ZKAO2U.

Install this APP and it will give you all the info you need about your device.
@Joku1981: He was trying to discover the original CSC/country code the phone was sold under, which is why he needed to parse the IMEI. Phone Info wouldn't help in this instance because it reports the CSC/country code of the currently installed ROM.

In this case, he lost his IMEI because he has flashed other modem and needs the original CSC code. So, Phone Info will useless.

Follow the link of Strephon Alkhalikoi.
Download mode shows your original Country code, no matter what CSC you flash
Turn off your phone, then press Volume Down + Bixby Button + Power button once for 4 seconds.
A blue screen will appear saying that do not flash non original firmware, press Volume Up.
A screen will come up saying at the top "ODIN MODE".
In this screen, you have some information about your device, but the one that we are intrested is a red line "CARRIER_ID: XXX"
That ID is your CSC code, no matter what firmware you install it on. Mine is PAN - the original - even though i currently have DBT installed.
and just press Volume Down + Power key for 7 seconds to restart to normal mode.

Using it is one thing. Replying to it is another. The thread is seven years old now, and the devices themselves so old they can vote. It's extremely unlikely for this device that anyone has anything useful to add to it that hasn't already been mentioned in other threads.
